Today CNN is publishing a bizarrely brief AP story that claims that an Afghan insurgent leader "helped Osama bin Laden escape from the mountains of Toro Bora five years ago."

That's funny, because there are so many reasons to believe that US policy let Bin Laden escape.

Not that any of that matters, because it's not clear why he is wanted.
