Some guy

Just called in to Cspan and said:

"My friend was at that Peace Protest and said that there were maybe 25,000 people there! All these news sources are reporting 100's of thousands of people."

Wah! people are dillusional and are always going to beleive what they want to believe.... no matter what they are told.... no matter what they even see with their own eyes.

Ignorance is NOT Bliss

Hey JJJ, those are awesome photos

It looks as if there were 100,000s of thousands of people there. Most excellent! This is extremely encouraging to Me. I never expected the White House Dictation Office to give it much coverage. But it's only a matter of time before they become scared. I can feel it. They can't ignore it much longer.

The Oregonian newspaper can bite me.

JJJ, the use of the traffic cam to observe was brilliant! It would be great if something like this could be sussed out ahead of time and publicized, because it's really the closest thing to neutral coverage that exists. Also, it could be used to estimate crowd size -- I think someone did that yesterday, in fact.

Here's the coverage I woke up to this morning in the Oregonian. Front page: just a small pic, waaaay below the fold, directing me to an article on A2. AP article on A2: estimates crowds as "tens of thousands." Notes that police no longer make official estimates (why the hell not?) but that AP was told "privately" that the police estimated crowd size at less than 100 thou, in contast to organizers estimates of 400 thou.

Here's the best part: Directly below this article was an article of just about the same size on the new "nonlethal ray gun" crowd control device being manufactured by Raytheon.

Aerial pics

would show the bigger picture. Pilots for 911 truth mission?

Very true.

Helicopters were obviously overhead -- you could hear them on the C-Span coverage. But they were probably police helicopters, and the police don't do estimates :p
