I will have the opportunity to interview Kevin Barrett on Monday before his presentation at Bradley University.
I was looking to get feedback from all of you to see if you had any questions that you would like me to ask

Dr. Kevin Barrett, a Ph.D. Islamologist and Arabist, and founder of the Muslim, Jewish, and Christian Alliance for 9/11 Truth, MUJCA-NET: http://mujca.com, will give a one hour talk “The Myth of 9/11: Why We Know It’s A Lie?---The Story Behind the Fake Bin-Laden Tapes, Other Fabrications, and Cover-ups” followed by a half hour of questions and answers, and a half hour book signing.
The event is co-sponsored by Peoria Citizens for Truth, MSA of Bradley, and Scholars for 9/11 Truth.
Dr. Kevin Barrett is the lead editor of the new book 9/11 and American Empire v.2: Christians, Jews and Muslims Speak Out, and the author of Truth Jihad: My Epic Struggle Against the 9/11 Big Lie. Dr. Barrett has taught in Islamic and Arabic Studies, Folklore, and African Literature at the University of Wisconsin-Madison since 1996.
Last summer, when it became known that he planned to speak openly in class about 9/11, state officials nearly had him fired. Barrett coordinates the Muslim-Jewish-Christian Alliance for 9/11 Truth (mujca.com) and is a leading figure in both the 9/11 truth movement and the fight for academic freedom. Barrett has appeared or been featured many times on CNN, Fox, Unavision, BC, CBS and other leading broadcast outlets, and has been the subject of extensive articles and op-eds in the New York Times, Chicago Tribune, Christian Science Monitor and other newspapers.
The brand-new book 9/11 and American Empire v.2: Christians, Jews and Muslims Speak Out (Interlink Books, MA) is a collection of 9/11-related essays by many of America’s leading theologians and religious intellectuals, including John Cobb, Rosemary Reuther, and Rabbi Michael Lerner. Truth Jihad: My Epic Struggle Against the 9/11 Big Lie (Progressive Press, CA), is a mixture of humor, satire, autobiography and polemic scheduled for publication in March, 2007.
Dr. Barrett’s essay in 9/11 and Empire v.2 is titled “The Myth of 9/11”. The essay argues that the official story of 9/11, scripted by the 9/11 Commission’s Executive Director Phillip Zelikow, who describes himself as a specialist in “the creation and maintenance of public myths” is just that—a myth.
Dr. Barrett’s talk will explore how the myth of 9/11 has been constructed, how it functions to legitimize public attitudes and policies including war crimes and the destruction of the Constitution, and how rational, evidence-based analysis can easily prove it false.

I'm really trying to think of something.
I can tell you what I'd have a conversation about with him, if I had the chance. I'd say, hey Kevin, I know you're a Humanities-oriented scholar, but don't you think even us liberal arts types can understand enough about the scientific method to understand what is legitimate scientific inquiry (Jones) and what is not (Fetzer and Wood)? Then we don't have to get into the whole "disinfo" morass. But I would do a better job of not sounding patronizing.
Ask about his position towards spacebeams
and if he's considering distancing himself from Jim Beam and Judy Jetson.
9/11 Truth and Non-falsifiable theories
Kevin Barrett, do you think the Directed Energy Weapon Hypothesis is a falsifiable theory?
If so, how can it be tested? And if not, is it worth pursuing if it can't be proven?
Are the promotion of theories that can’t be proven an unnecessary distraction in the pursuit of 9/11 truth?
Secondly, if the Directed Energy Weapon Hypothesis is NOT a falsifiable theory, why is it being pursued in favor of the concrete physical evidence that Steven Jones has accumulated strongly supporting the controlled demolition hypothesis?
Thirdly, Steven Jones has said that we don’t need to prove everything that happened on 9/11. In a recent interview he offered his opinion that we should focus on the solid (i.e. non-speculative) evidence that supports an inside job so that we can use it to get the public to support an investigation to finally uncover the entire truth about 9/11. Do you agree with this opinion?
Why does the ST911 truth website expose no alternate theories as false? Given the fact that there are many theories about 9/11, why is it that the ST911 website fails to show any theories are false (as far as I have seen)? Yes, it observes the official story is false, but what about alternate theories?
In an essay written by Wood and Reynolds, they claim that Steven Jones is maintaining a “thermite hypothesis”. This is a straw-man fallacy as Jones has never maintained that only thermite was used in the destruction of the WTC buildings. He has specified that other explosives are often used in combination (typical of controlled demolitions) including conventional explosives. My question is, do you consider it acceptable behavior that Wood and Reynolds are distorting Steven Jones’ controlled demolition hypothesis by pretending his entire theory is a “thermite hypothesis” by proceeding to ignore all of his other evidence?

When has Jones ever publicly "endorsed" anything by John Albanese? Hint: Never.
On the other hand, look at Fetzer now promoting the disinformation site 911researchers.com headed up by the newly insane Rick Siegel. Look at how Rick has no problem in helping setup Web Fairy and Nico Haupt with their own domains (fooledagainon911.com, 911bloglines.com), and this is who Fetzer kicked Jones out over?!?! Don't talk to us about disruptors unless your talking about Siegel, he puts all others (except Nico Haupt perhaps) to shame.
Until Fetzer cuts his ties with the likes if Siegel (and indirectly Nico Haupt, CB_Brooklyn, etc.) I doubt any of us would advocate unifying what is now divided.

I've got many devastating questions for him... to help us "understand" his behavior. In fact I've got quite a list... perhaps I'll post them as a blog entry.
Make no mistake. Fetzer is very smart. His resume is very impressive. He is not a "charlatan". He is doing what he is doing on purpose; there can be no doubt about it.
I think he’s an actor playing the role of "crazy conspiracy theorist". I've heard his interviews where he gets over-emotional and the host even told him to calm down. I heard him accuse someone of being a "Jewish kid" on Alex Jones. These things are calculated. It's all part of an act.
He doesn’t really believe this stuff he’s promoting. Of course not. He wrote the book on “disinformation”. Now he’s using it.
The key to Fetzer is reading his statements carefully; and then to use them against him.

Kevin Barrett spoke to a near capacity crowd last night and gave an excellent presentation!
70 to 80 people attended and only one person voiced his disbelief and questioned our motives and Kevin gave an excellent rebuttal explaining the goals of this movement.
An excellent turnout for only having a weeks notice of the event. It was announced on the front page of the Peoria News publication.
I did not have a chance to interview Kevin but he agreed to correspond via email. I did not want to hamper the affect of his presentation with a discussion about the infiltration of the movement. I did not ask but another audience member surprisingly did and Kevin kind of avoided the meat of the question.
He did explain that Jim Fetzer is kind of wacky and excitable. He believes that the conflict between the scholars is more of a personality conflict which I thought was a very sketchy response. After the presentation the issue of infiltration was further discussed and Kevin seemed very uncomfortable about the subject..... almost dismissing that infiltration into movements like ours would be a tactic that our government would use??
I like Kevin and he seems very genuine.... but I think he may be a bit naive and too close to the Fetzer to see the possibilities of his govern"mental" persuasion. Emphasis on "Mental"

At this point, Barrett must realize that Steve Jones is a hack, a fraud, a plant, and likely a perp.
He doesn't want to upset the truthlings by discussing this openly, however. Thus, he avoids the meat of the question.
Maybe he will be more forthright about this a few months down the road.

I have the feeling that perhaps Barrett can't speak with complete candor about Fetzer for some reason. I hope so, really, because the "personality conflict" theory is either completely disingenuous or downright naive, and I'd rather think that Kevin is neither.

And for the record I don't think comparing Bush to Hitler helps the movement in any way. It's an ad-hominem we could live without. Bush in the grand scheme of things is not worth very much. If he said the same about Cheney... then I might pause and think it has at least some measure of merit.
