Hicks has updated his LTTE here.
"Who cares?"
Watch Lemons disrupt the 9/11 Accountability press conference, here. Key segment at 48:55 where he interrupts Bob McIlvaine. Jon Gold reports the incident as follows; - At one point, Bob McIlvaine started speaking, and the idiot journalist started talking over him. Someone said to him, "He lost his son on 9/11", and he responded by saying, "Who cares?" Other instances of speaking out of cue, and causing a general disruption up to the point of the security personnel being asked to usher him out of the conference at 55:50, 57:15, and 1:00.
This seems to contrast with the strange narrative of the conference posted at the New Times currently.
Is yellow journalism the bread and butter of the New Times?
Is insulting the surviving family of 9/11 victims, to their faces, company policy at the New Times?

Phone: 602-271-0040Dear Ms. Silverman,
The New Times' assignment of Stephen Lemons to the recent 9/11 Accountability Conference in Chandler, Arizona was irresponsible. His reporting was rife with malice, a willful disregard for the truth, and character assassination against yours truly. My name is Sander Hicks, I'm author of "The Big Wedding: 9/11, the Whistle-blowers, and the Cover-up." It's been called one of the better books on 9/11 (see below). I have reported on 9/11 for Long Island Press, GNN, New York Press, and Alternet.
For the past two weeks, Mr. Lemons displayed bias, with a vendetta and focus on local Arizona conference organizers. As a result, he missed important matters of national security that are brought up by responsible 9/11 skeptics at that conference. I personally phoned Lemons on Thursday, February 22, and spent about 45 minutes on the phone with him, focussing mostly on the wire transfer of $100,000 that Pakistan intelligence director Mahmood Ahmad sent to Mohamed Atta on the 10th of September, 2001. Ahmad was head of the Pakistani stand-in for the CIA, called the "ISI." Lemons questioned my sources, so I provided them to him, including a copy of a supporting Wall Street Journal article that I personally bought and re-published online, under the provision of "fair use." (See: http://voxpopnet.net/attaWallStJournal.htm) This wire transfer was originally reported in a story in the Times of India, which was then found to be worthy of re-publication by the French news agency Agence France Presse. The Times of India reportedly drew on intelligence from our FBI's own investigation in-country.
Mr. Lemons was not interested in facts, or documents. He arrived at the press conference in Chandler, on Friday, February 23rd, and was disruptive, unprofessional, and rude. He interrupted the comments of grieving 9/11 victim's father Bob McIlvane. He showed callous disregard for a 9/11 truth activist who had lost his son on 9/11.
I again spent significant time with Lemons after the press conference, and later that Sunday. Again, the Ahmad-Atta wire transfer came up. I pointed out Condoleezza Rice was herself asked about this, at a White House press conference, on May 16, 2002. She nimbly dodged the question, "Are you aware of the reports at the time that ISI chief was in Washington on September 11th, and on September 10th, $ 100,000 was wired from Pakistan to these groups here in this area?" What is especially relevant is that in the CNN and Federal News Service transcripts of this press conference, the words "ISI Chief" are replaced with a "(inaudible)" or a "--", respectively. Lemons didn't care.
The reason this detail is important is that an understanding of 9/11 has to go back several decades to US foreign policy in Afghanistan. We now know that the American CIA and military created groups of radical Islamists to bring down the Soviet Union, funding the Mujahedeen in the Afghan/Soviet conflict. The American power structure acted through CIA bank BCCI and the Pakistani ISI. The US has had a client relationship with Pakistan ever since. For example, ISI Chief Mahmood Ahmad was allowed to quietly resign, in light of the Atta wire transfer revelations, on October 6th, 2001. The rule of law should demand he stand trial in the USA for funding terrorism. Instead, Pakistan received a new three billion dollars in aid for "helping" with the "war on terror." This is the kind of thing responsible journalists should focus on. It's shocking, but it looks like 9/11 was generated inside the U.S. intelligence networks.
Instead, Lemons could never get beyond the flaws of the local organizers. Eric Williams' controversial views on the exact number of the dead in the Holocaust is a relevant subject, I do agree. But that should have been a side note. Instead, it dominated Lemons' reporting, at the expense of national figures that local Arizona organizers had flown into town for the edification of the public, including: Lieutenant Colonel Robert Bowman, USAF (retired), scholar and author Peter Dale Scott, former Deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania Phil Berg, radio personality Meria Heller, author Jim Marrs, retired Brigham Young professor Steven Jones, Project Censored director Dr. Peter Phillips, Canadian publisher Ian Woods, and most importantly, the many dedicated, grassroots activists.
No matter what Lemons personally believes, he ignored three major polls that show that 9/11 skepticism is a growing concern to more and more Americans. In 2006, there was a Zogby poll, a Scripps Howard/Ohio University poll, and a New York Times/CBS poll which all show that there is a story here. (They are all online, check 911blogger.com.)
I tried three times to rationally present topics worthy of interest in a minefield of controversial and kooky theories. In exchange, my character was attacked, by the New Times' publishing a photograph of myself and Eric Williams, who the New Times has simplistically branded a "holocaust denier." (And, no, I do not question whether 6.5 million Jews suffered and died under Hitler. That was not a subject of our conference. I resent the inference. Take that photo down, now.)
Lemons and the New Times were highly selective in what they chose to report about what happened this weekend in Chandler. A group of patriots and peace activists gathered to attempt to strategize about how to bring democracy, transparency, and peace back to a Federal government wracked with an out-of-control war fervor. The Phoenix New Times really blew it this weekend, by assigning a reporter who had previously demonstrated malice. The flaws of the organizers were serious, yes. But there was a lot more to the story.
9/11 has allowed a hard right-wing minority to attack America's first principles and civil rights. We need to re-examine where the 9/11 attacks came from, which Americans protected the terrorists while in Florida, and how these attacks were never properly investigated by a uncompromised government investigation, or a fair and objective mass media.
Sincerely,
Sander Hicks

I still say
idiots like this should be picked up and thrown out, there is no reason to talk to them as there is no reasoning with someone that that could care less about the facts and is actually perfectly OK with what really happened on 9/11.
People like this are criminally insane and should be treated as such.

Ms. Silverman -
I would like you to know that one of the largest 911 Families of Victims groups in the New York area, with over 3,000 members, is currently being asked to review the recent video of New Times reporter Stephen Lemons disrupting the 9/11 Accountability Conference recently held in Arizona.
Please note that it is documented in this video that Mr. Lemons had to be forcibly removed from the conference by security. It is further documented that when confronted on his interuptions of a speaker who lost his son on 911 - Mr Lemon can clearly be heard remarking "who cares."
I assure you Ms. Silverstein that the victim's families care.
It is our expectation that Mr. Lemon will be removed from his position at the New Times. Mr. Lemon attended this event in his capacity as a journalist, but with the sole intention of disrupting these proceedings and denegrating those who still seek accountability for 9/11 - including those who lost loved ones on that day. And while Mr. Lemon, like all of us, is entitled to his personal opinions, it is not appropriate for a journalist to express those feeling in such a way that security must forcibly eject him from the premises. Certainly this much you can understand.
We are in the process of contacting many of your competitors in the Arizona news industry. Perhaps they would be interested in seeing how the New Times treats members of the 9/11 victim's families as well.
I do expect that the New Times will respond in an appropriate way to the request that Mr. Lemon be appropriately disciplined in this matter.

I'd suggest it as an template candidate for other future incidents may they occur..
Now, if they fire this "reporter" who do you think will employ him? At least he couldn't work for the state agencies publicly anymore, his cover is blown out..
Thanks!
And here is their response to my letter.....
Dear Holocaus- denier-sympathizer (a.k.a. Mr. Albanese), We know exactly what happened at the so-called press conference in Chandler. Stephen Lemons was the only member of the legitimate press present, and the conference saw fit to remove him for asking unpopular questions. Your threats are ridiculous, sir. You have no power to affect what we
publish. We support everything Lemons has written on the subject of you 9/11 deniers. I mean, to say that your credibility is shot is a huge understatement: you and other conventioneers cavorted with a Holocaust denier and anti-Semites in Chandler! Who will take you seriously after
that? This will be the first point we would make to any 9/11 family members you produce, and I doubt you can produce any. You can take as our further response what Lemons writes on his blog regarding your threats. Best, Rick Barrs, Editor.
Geez...
"We support everything Lemons has written on the subject of you 9/11 deniers."
Nothing like yellow journalism.
Yellow journalism is a pejorative reference to journalism that features scandal-mongering, sensationalism, jingoism or other unethical or unprofessional practices by news media organizations or individual journalists.
Here is an example of how "Yellow Journalism" works.
Stephen and Rick are closet homosexuals. Together. I don't require facts, or information to report that. It just came to me.
"So where is the oil going to come from?... The Middle East, with two-thirds of the world's oil and the lowest cost, is still where the prize ultimately lies."
Richard Cheney - Chief Executive Of Halliburton
and
he wrote me again:
Mr. Doe (more like Duh...), I'm disgusting? Look in the mirror. I stand by what I said. For the record, I called you a "Holocaust-denier-sympathizer" (I know you conspiracy zealots are fact-challenged, but please try to get one or two facts straight from time to time). You can't be as vapid as you come across: are you unaware that Holocaust denier Eric Williams had a booth at your conference and
was invited on stage? He was hardly removed, though one of your organizers lied and said he would be. He was selling trinkets at the affair, and told our reporter just outside the main meeting area that he planned another printing of his Holocaust-denying book because there had been such a huge demand for it (likely from neo-Nazis) after we outed
him in an article several weeks ago. We have photographs of your attendees shaking hands with Williams at the conference. Until we wrote that, he was practically running the Chandler 9/11 conference, as you must know. Also, at least two anti-Semites were in attendance, and others were quoting Holocaust-denying writers to anybody who would
listen. Come on Mr. Duh, all this has all been reported in Phoenix New Times (see www.phoenixnewtimes.com). Try doing a little homework before you threaten a newspaper (we always do ours). If you tolerated Williams et al. -- and you must have since you were in attendance and saw Stephen
Lemons booted from the alleged press conference -- then I can only conclude that you and yours are be in league with Holocaust deniers/anti-Semites. All this makes the people running the 9/11 Accountability (which is a laugh) Conference about as credible as David Duke. Best, Rick Barrs, Editor
great journalism
he accuses me of being one of the organizers
he calls it 'my event'
he claims i was in attendance
all wrong
and he's a journalist. just lash out at people and accuse them of being anti-semitic because i oppose how he spoke to one of the victim's families. yeah - that's balanced. that's professional.
this behavior is nothing new
Boilerplate ADL-playbook smearing. My suggestion? Get used to it. Read the disinfo tactics handbook (again). Call them out on the disinfo tactics from a solid high-ground position, don't drop into the gutter with them and get into namecalling. That just gives them fodder.
DON'T FEED THE TROLLS! (or the ADL/SPLC/FBI/CIA, either)

Journalism Or Disruption?
Here is all of the footage (20 minutes worth) of Stephen Lemons' appearance at the 9/11 Accountability Press Conference that recently took place in Chandler, Arizona.
What do you think was his purpose? I would have thought a true journalist would have asked about 9/11 Accountability since that was the theme of the conference. Instead, he chose to focus on Eric Williams, and the fact that he wrote a book entitled, "The Puzzle Of Auschwitz." Every single person I talked to at that conference did not adhere to Eric's beliefs. He also tried to say that there were many "anti-semites" at the conference. That may very well be the case. Unfortunately, the world is a very big place, and a lot of people have different beliefs. As I said, I talked to a lot of people at this conference, and not one of them told me they hate me. I am jewish, and if there were a lot of "anti-semites", they certainly didn't make their presence known. Also, Stephen didn't seem to want to report on the fact that the organizers of the 9/11 Conference received A LOT of flack for what happened. So much so that they took Eric off of the committee.
The 9/11 Truth Movement is not anti-semitic, and that has been repeatedly stated, over and over again. Can't Stephen read? Also, do you think everyone would have gotten as loud as they did if they believed as Stephen tried to portray? No.
Personally, I don't think Kent's experiences with cows has anything to do with 9/11, but what do I know?
Stephen was also kind enough to bring Patrick from screwloosechange.com so he could ask about Nico Haupt's ridiculous theories, and his antics. Theories and antics that the majority of this movement do not believe in, or condone. I think it was good of Patrick to show up. It's a good education for people who think that Nico is helping this movement.
Truth be told, I do not agree with comparing the Holocaust to something as simple as 2+2=5.
Again, I apologize for getting loud myself, but when he started talking over Bob McIlvaine, and was being disrespectful to him, I lost my cool. There are certain lines you do not cross, and that happens to be one of them.
So, what was their purpose here?
"So where is the oil going to come from?... The Middle East, with two-thirds of the world's oil and the lowest cost, is still where the prize ultimately lies."
Richard Cheney - Chief Executive Of Halliburton
We already know why...
Athough there is an increasing interest in the movement on the subjects of cointelpro, organized disruption and infiltration in the movement, it appears that many people still have a reluctance, or psychological resistance, to fully realizing the severity of this problem.
Personally, I think it is a huge issue – not just for 9/11 Truth – but for the nation as a whole.
Think about this.
Think of the controversy that Bush’s illegal wiretapping stirred on Capital Hill. Well, I submit to you that cointelpro – covert intelligence operations aimed at peaceful US citizens – designed to incite violence and frame people and ruin people’s lives and scare people and blackmail people – based on their personal beliefs - is exponentially more serious than illegal wiretapping.
This issues strikes at the heart of our Constitution – and remains the one issue that has always separated America from fascist Germany and Stalinist Russia.
How many warnings and facts do we need to ignore before we finally take action on this?
It has been fully documented. Here’s a story on how PETA and other antiwar, environmental, civil rights groups have been INFILTRATED:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/12/19/AR200512...
We have all seen the stories on the $1 billion allocated to the Pentagon to fight the ‘internet war.’ We have all seen the results of that war in the form of painfully transparent online disruption campaigns and disinformation campaigns.
It is happening folks. Wake up. I submit to you that 911 Truth is much more of a target than PETA. We have the evidence staring us right in the face.
I have received reports of activists being threatened – being told their house will blow up – surveillance – intimidation and scare tactics – poison pen letters – threatening phone calls – online smear campaigns. Wake up.
This goes far beyond the disruption of an event – or the silly ‘space beams’ disinformation campaigns. We are confronted with nothing less than the negation and desecration of our most sacred values and rights – essentially rendering worthless the deaths of thousands of Americans who fought and died to preserve our Constitution for their children – and our children – and their children…
What will our children inherit if we allow this to stand unchallenged.
Last night I saw Helen Thomas speak. She scolded us. She asked us why we were not in the streets everyday protesting. We have allowed our own government to chop away at our freedoms.
We've allowed it to engage in domestic wiretaps, we've allowed it to suspend the right of habeus corpus (which, she noted has been cherished since 1215 when the Magna Carta was written). We've even tolerated the unthinkable: American soldiers and agents torturing people.
But still – even here – we seem to not fully grasp the magnitude of the problem.
Action must be taken. The only option we have left is to expose this – and let the chips fall where they may.
The 911 Truth movement is important. The 911 Truth movement represents the essential and precious American citizen’s RIGHT to petition its government for answers – demand accountability – expose governmental lies – and clarify the historical record.
If the Bush Administration is allowed to criminalize these pursuits, then America as we know it is over and we will have descended into a nightmare police state where infiltrators and spies can watch our every move and arrest us at will.
In the next week there will be a call to action on this issue. I hope that the 911 Truth movement understands the importance of this action – and the importance of our place in history – and chooses to unite in exposing and denouncing cointelpro in America, because there can be no TRUTH without FREEDOM.
very good point
The issue of 911 is yhe core issue. They wouldn't have a pretext for any of theese tyrantical messures without 911 so exposing 911 is key because when it is comonly excepted the rest of theese messures will fall like a house of cards. we needn't worry we are winning but the more we win the more insidious they will get. You can see the impact we are making by the amount of aragence they have . lately they have been trying to put a lid on the movement Ie. the dems but have been unsuccessful. Don't loose hope for we have the truth and god on our side.
The video should be posted along with the story
IMO, to highlight just how much of an ass, and a slob, this guy really is.
Fetzer actually kinda owned
Fetzer actually kinda owned this guy!
God, I wish Fetzer never met Judy Wood, he was my favorite before the space beam stuff.
As for the reporter guy....Lemons. I heard he was a felon. So that would make everyone at his newspaper, all his friends and his family felons as well, correct?
Fetzer would be doing what he is doing now
with or without Judy Wood in my opinion. If you look at his work carefully there is plenty of evidence to conclude this.

My email exchange with Lemons
Stephen,
Saw your appearance at the 9-11 conference in Chandler. But I couldn't
figure out what your take was on the evidence? The wiring of money to
Atta from the ISI on Sept. 10, for instance. The videos of police telling
people to "get back" because building 7 was about to "blow up" -- and
now new video evidence that the BBC new in advance that 7 was to be
demolished. The molten iron in the rubble. Steven Jones' discovery of
thermate in the debris. The numerous reports of explosions deep in the
subbasements before the jets even hit. The training of Atta and
others at US military facilities. What do you make of all this evidence?
Instead you offer ad hominem attacks on conference participants? What
is the point of that?
Lemons' response:
Thanks for the letter, Rob. ScrewLooseChange.blogspot.com answers these
questions better than I ever could. So I suggest you check them out.
Every troofer argument has a reasonable, sane rebuttal. On the Paki/ISI
thing, there is no proof of that. You have two articles saying
completely different things. Putting them together doesn't make them
proof of anything.
As far as ad hominem goes, why is your movement cavorting with
anti-Semites and Holocaust deniers? Why should I take your movement
seriously while it does so?
My response:
Thanks for getting back. You'll find bad eggs in every mass movement (and skeptics
of the official theory now number in the millions, indeed outnumber the believers).
But to call one of them out doesn't de-legitimize the movement -- and does nothing
to answer the very legitimate questions skeptics have.
Agreed the Paki/ISI/Atta financial connection hasn't been proven beyond a
doubt -- but it cries out for investigation. Why didn't the 9-11 Commission show any
interest in this connection? Why was it silent on Building 7's astonishing
symmetrical free-fall collapse (preceded, eyewitnesses now say, by a countdown)?
Why hasn't the Justice Dept. charged Osama bin Laden with 9-11?
The movement will only gather steam until our questions are answered.
Lemons' response:
You have a point, but it's more than one person, and I'm not the first
to note the anti-Semitic thread; e.g., Paula Zahn. Furthermore, Kent
Knudson and other organizers lied. They said Williams would not be there
in chandler. He was, and he was invited on stage at one point.
I will be doing a longer piece soon taking on as many of the divergent
9/11 conspiracy theories as possible. So stay tuned. I'm sure you guys
will be talking about it when it hits.
Thanks again for writing in...
Sincerely,
Stephen Lemons
Hi I appreciate this
Hi I appreciate this engagment with this person just to milk out some info about how these people think and operate but generally it's waste of time.
Imagine how many nobodies from nowhere like "Stephen Lemons" and his KKK editor could you buy for $1bln., now multiply this blackop budget by 7x7x7 etc..
Although the local outreach is important, just leave it for the bigger cities as strategy, revolutions are done in the center where you have most of the concentrated population.
In many local communities you are always running this risk of spending time of dealing various crackpots. I know it's sounds rude and urban/city centric but that's todays guerilla politics 101..
Ask him...
Why he chooses to play with our theories as opposed to our facts.

Some more...
He sent me two emails consecutively...
Email one...
by the way, what do you do back there in bumfuck, pa.? clean toilets at the bus station?
Email two...
whatever, dumbass... point is, you can't produce any letters complaining about lemons. you're just another pitiful 9/11 conspiracy nut liar.
My responses, consecutively...
Email one...
Whatever it is I do, I make sure to do it with integrity, honesty, and determination the likes of which you will never see.
Piece of shit.
Email two...
You don't even know about the family members calling for a new investigation, and you call me a dumb ass? HAHAHAH.
Piece of shit.

He must like me...
just because they're family members doesn't mean they possess any more facts than you do. for what it's worth, we have investigated the 9/11 conspiracy claims, and have found them full of shit. sorry, but that's the truth.
My response...
Really? All of them are "full of shit"? Here's just one... Sibel Edmonds, the most gagged person in American History, thanks to John Ashcroft, has said that once 9/11 gets to be investigated, you're going to be seeing no less than 10 American names that you recognize standing trial, and being prosecuted criminally. Yeah, that's definitely "full of shit".
It seems to me that you need to learn how to read, or at the very least, watch 9/11: Press For Truth which is available for free online, and endorsed, as I said, by the family members that fought for the creation of the 9/11 Commission, that attended every single hearing of the 9/11 Commission, that worked with the staffers of the 9/11 Commission, and that most assuredly, know more facts than you EVER will.

Sleep well, Jon. You do not
Sleep well, Jon. You do not share DNA with these people.
It's only...
7:49 on a Friday night. :D
Thank you.

In case you ever wondered...
Whether or not you're on the right side, here's a good indication...
smarter people than your commission members have debunked everything you might claim. check out the screwloosechange.com site. come on, the new york times hates the administration more than you do. why wouldn't they go after a story like that? now don't come off like an anti-semite and bring up some jewish conspiracy. point is, you're delusional, just like others of your ilk. what you say will never happen. look, i'd like to believe it; i didn't vote for bush. shit, i've never voted for a republican. but your moon-howling just doesn't hold up. for starters, the bushites aren't smart enough to have pulled that off. dude, you're wasting your life with this bullshit. find something real to champion.
My response...
So basically, I just made you look like a fool. I have to admit, it feels pretty damn good.
I almost feel sorry for him. A media man that doesn't know what's going on.

and not a single one of
and not a single one of these "hit pieces" about the conference addresses any of the information presented, it merely attacks those who were involved or attended.
Is that all that is left? Shooting the messenger?
I guess they really need that next paycheck.

I just found out...
That Stephen Lemons tried to paint us as Holocaust Deniers long before Eric Williams had anything to do with the 9/11 Accountability Conference...
http://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/2006-09-07/news/loose-screws/
With the gall of Holocaust deniers, Knudson, et al., claim the collapse of the Twin Towers was because of a secretly implemented "controlled demolition." Temperatures from fires resulting from the crashes of two Boeing 767s were not hot enough to melt the towers' steel columns, they argue. Videos of the towers falling supposedly show a controlled demolition under way.
Piece of shit.
