Anybody in Las Vegas? Wanna help us out?
As you may or may not be aware, the legendary Stardust Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada will be imploded at approximately 2:30 AM on Tuesday, March 13th. The nearby main road is being closed off between midnight and 4:00 A.M, and all signs nail the demolition at 2:30 AM.

The more steady, descriptive shots the better. We'll do whatever we can to compensate those that shoot footage. If you happen to get some coverage of it, please let us know.

Call our secretary Kristy at 607-267-4456 and square things away with her if you can send us a copy. We'd be there ourselves but we have simply way too much to do.

Also, Professor Steven Jones is requesting dust samples. Anyone who can help us both out will be thanked extensively. In fact, anyone who helps us will get a special credit in the Final Cut.

Irvine went great. Met a lot of great people, got to see April Gallop again. Catch you soon.

I can't understand why the Stardust would go through the tedious task of imploding the building.........Why not just fill an airplane full of fuel and crash right into it? Works just the same, right?

Better yet....

....have an airplane crash into a building 350 feet away....

....that works like the best controlled demolition I've ever seen (and I saw the Hacienda in Vegas blown up in person New Years Eve '96)

Call it....

....the "Shake and Bake Crock-pot" demolition....(emphasis on ("Crock")

Recipe:
1) Crash Airplane into adjacent building
2) Repeat if necessary
3) Wait for building(s) to "pancake"
4) Simmer for 7 hours
5) "Pull it"

Bottom Line: "Buildings don't commit suicide"

SHOULD HAVE GIVEN SOONER NOTICE

I JUST PASSED THE STARDUST 30 MINUTES AGO DRIVING HOME FROM THE MGM GRAND WHERE I WORK!

The demo is set to take place 30 minutes from now but I doubt I could make it back on time.

I'll try to tape the local news in the morning which should have some good vid's.

I'll try to stop in the area of the "Stardust' tomorrow after work and hopefully scoop up some dust.

Anything else? Just advise.

Dust Samples? What?

What are the Dust samples for? The only dust samples required and already accounted for, and the only ones which will be used in the investigation and criminal proceedings will be the dust from the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and Shanksville, PA pit in the feild. You knock yourself out collecting your dust or helping out Loose Change get video for their new movie. But don't feel compelled. It's not neccasary for prosecution. The same goes for any demolition video footage; we have a nearly endless file of demolitioned buildings at the Library of Congress, no need to focus so much attention on the Stardust demolition; other than maybe considering it a staged event to illustrate some sort of collapse which will help explain yet another excuse for three WTC towers collapsing at the speed of gravity.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

WHEN I REALIZED I WAS MISTAKEN ABOUT THE DEMO TIME BY 30 MINUTES I HOPPED IN THE CAR AND SOMEHOW GOT PRETTY DARN CLOSE AND FILMED THE 'PANCAKE COLLAPSE' - ER ... IMPLOSION.

WILL WORK ON THE VID NOW AND HAVE IT UP ON GOOGLE VID IN A FEW HOURS HOPEFULLY.

I've discovered some possibly visible heat spots on two of the photos showing WTC cleanup.

I found something...

I found a photo of a nearby building (can't tell which one it is but it is a tall one) that had a huge 15-20 story size hole/gouge from falling debris like the damage description to WTC 7. The only difference is this building is still standing today. I will post it once I figure out how to do that. Can someone tell me how to post photos in a post?

Re uploading images...

I highly recommend ImageShack... Costs nothing and does a great job...

When you "host" an image, you'll have several types of links presented to you...

If the uploaded image was large, you are better of using the "thumbnail" option, at the top of presented links, just cut and paste whole line of text directly into 911blogger comment box...

For small to medium images, use the "direct link to image" bottom link presented to you...

You need to put the image in IMG tag... i.e.

<img src="http://911blogger.com/---insert%20direct%20link%20here---">

Have a go, shows up in "preview comment"
