"Democracy Now! Is Prime Objective"

I have been calling and sending letters to Democracy Now! about
9/11 news for months now, including a recent letter about the BBC
prematurely reporting WTC 7's collapse, but have never gotten a
reply. I realize that they are a large media network, but it would be
nice to know if they are even receptive to 9/11 evidence at all. Has
anyone gotten a response from them?

I heard that Bob Bowman recently tried to meet with Amy Goodman.
Maybe he can convince her to look at the evidence. After all, we
have peer-reviewed articles by Physicists and Structural Engineers,
as well as hard evidence by way of thermite! Why would they not
want to know about this?

Democracy Now! is the largest public media network in the country, so s
so we need to win them over. Maybe if we all put them on our "hit
list" to contact by phone and email on a weekly basis it will finally
pay off. They can't in good faith turn a blind eye to this information.
How can you care about "democracy" but not care about "truth"
and "justice?" And wouldn't exposing 9/11 be helpful in ending the
war that resulted from it?? Of course.

send Goodman money, she'll say what you want

About $75,000 should do it, as I posted earlier:

Recently, a fine young man told Amy Goodman to tell her audience that 9/11 was an inside job. She replied, "I don't tell you what to say. You don't tell me what to say." That young man should have included a check.

See, Amy Goodman is told what to say by the Ford Foundation, one of her major donors. According to the Ford Foundation's 2002 Annual report, available on their web site, a $75,000 grant was made to Democracy Now to "continue incorporating the aftermath of the September 11th attacks into future broadcasts."

Not only is this "telling her what to say," but it implies that she should not look into the attacks themselves.

Go to page 135 or search document for Democracy Now.

Worse still is Goodman's connection to Halliburton via the Ford Foundation.

Please visit http://theyrule.net and seach for a map linking Alcoa Inc (whose board member Kathryn Fuller is the Chairman of the Ford Foundation) with Halliburton. You will find that only Citigroup separates Amy Goodman's "independent" journalism from Dick Cheney's death machine.

Seems like interupting her with a bullhorn is letting her off easy.

For her sanctimonious declaration of independence, go here: http://www.democracynow.org/about.shtml

Justice deferred is justice denied-MLK

Amy Goodman is a lost cause

For the reasons outlined above. She doesn't seem to be a misguided lefty--she would have already come around. No, she's either complicit or frightened. And that is unacceptable. In fact if it were fear, I'd like to know who/what she is afraid of. If it's complicity I would like to see her stand trial for obstruction of justice, fraud, and a few other crimes.

No matter the level of crudeness...

... I can at times must here in a blog, I non-the-less do my best to present a particularly polite and friendly personal presence.

In my entire life however, I have NEVER see more terror in someone's eyes, as I politely and quietly asked Amy to consider; "you don't have to do the definitive '911 truth' piece for you show... but why not consider doing the human interest piece on the existence of a none-too-small emergence of a grass-roots movement that simply calls itself The 911 Truth Movement? You could do it with every bit the "objective journalist manner" you espouse... and never have to tip a hand one way or the other about your personal feelings on the matter. No?"

She simply looked back at me, in abject terror... speechless.

I changed the subject, for her.

The demons in her head must be petrifying and horrid.

sure, she may be in over her head

and I think it's safe to speculate as to who exactly might have let loose the word on the street that bad things might happen to well known people who come forward.

If so, I pity her, but at the same time its a risk ALL of us run, and we are not all famous--our untimely demises under suspicious circumstances may not be as remarked upon as if it happened to her!

That makes her a particularly hypocritical coward.

Too bad she's unable to envision the REAL safety and love awaiting her, should she ever actually "take over the air waves."

I have no remaining sympathy for her predicament. Moments like these were predestined by all reporters, journalist, and MSM media talents who've made such a Deal With The Devil of Truth.

is Democracy Now a public media network?

what makes it public? taking dough from foundations?

good point...

I was going by the blurb on the book she wrote with her brother. I suppose that "independent" media network would be better, but
even that is a stretch considering she won't touch this..
She won't even cover EVENTS that are in themselves newsworhtly apart from content.

Do you think Democracy Now will even cover the March on the
National Mall we have on September 11?

The best hope seems to be getting celebs like Rosie to speak out and create an "Entertainment Buzz" as sad as that sounds.

Some public funding

I seem to remember that Congress brought PBS into existence by means of legislation. I think it may have been during the Carter admin. which would make it late 1970s.

I think the push was to get something on the air without advertising money. Thus 'public' in the title. The idea was to free it from corporate sponsorship and control. Obviously, that goal didn't really survive over time.

Congress promised some portion of the money -- from tax revinue, obviously. And the bill also called for outside funding, from private foundations. The country was more liberal then, and the bill passed. You couldn't even write such a bill today.

One thing dogging Amy's footsteps is the huge pressure from the right-wing -- which by magic has become the center these days? -- to eliminate all public funding for PBS. They keep succeeding in cutting it, but public funding remains to this day, I believe -- and someone please correct me if I am wrong there.

I think PBS still needs this (ever-dwindling) public funding to continue operations. If she doesn't play the game, the whole thing goes down the drain.

I do not envy her position. Surely she is aware of the hypocrisy she's gotten herself into. It may not be fun. Maybe continued pressure on her about 911 might push her to resign, and make a statement? Who knows. It might happen.

It's time for Ms. Goodman to stop gatekeeping the inside job

Her multi-million dollar "DemocracyNow"studios are in a renovated firehouse about a mile north of the WTC. Yet she refuses to cover the subject? How ironic is that?

If Rosie can speak up, so can Amy!

"I think it's safe to speculate as to who exactly might have let loose the word on the street that bad things might happen to well known people who come forward."

Anthrax was sent to Pat Leahy and Tom Daschle.
