AP: "If His Mega-Confession is to be Believed"

The Associated Press expresses skepticism:

"if his mega-confession is to be believed"

Like so much of the press today

this story is essentially limited hangout. The overall impression it leaves, like the TIME editorial by Robert Baer, is that Al-Qaeda is a supremely powerful organization (it is not), and that the War on Terror is working because they have captured such a "mastermind".

I applaud the AP for its qualifying skepticism, but ultimately these stories continue to support the fantasy that Al-Qaeda is capable of orchestrating 9/11 without inside help, and that KSM is some kind of villain from a Bond movie.
