American radio icon Don Imus disgraced, fired after threat to reveal 9/11 secrets

from Pravda
http://english.pravda.ru/opinion/columnists/89728-0/

In a clear sign of its intent to reign in dissident American media personalities, and their growing influence in American culture, US War Leaders this past week launched an unprecedented attack upon one of their most politically 'connected', and legendary, radio hosts named Don Imus after his threats to release information relating to the September 11, 2001 attacks upon that country.

According to European reports of the events surrounding Don Imus that have gripped the United States this past week, it was during an interview with another American media personality, Tim Russert, who is the host of a television programme frequently used by US War Leaders, wherein while decrying the state of care being given to American War wounded stated, "So those bastards want to keep these boys [in reference to US Soldiers] secret? Let's see how they like it if I start talking about their [in reference to US War Leaders] secrets, starting with 9/11."

Unable to attack such a powerful media figure as Don Imus, directly, the US War Leaders, and as we have seen many times before, resorted to a massive media attack against him using as the reason a racial slur against a US woman's basketball team, but which has been pointed out by other media outlets was not by any means a rare occurrence for the legendary radio icon to make.
But, to the US War Leaders, Don Imus represented the most serious threat, to date, of the growing assault against them by America's media personalities threatening to expose the truths behind the events of September 11, 2001 and the Iraq/Afghanistan Wars; and to such an extent that another American media personality, Rosie O'Donnell, has expressed concern that US Military Leaders could actually imprison Mr. Imus.

From our past research of the tactics used against those threatening America's War Leaders, the likelihood of imprisonment for Don Imus would only occur should he persist in his threats to undermine their authority, and which appears, at this time, unlikely after the public disgrace he has had to endure.

It is expected, also, that the US War Leaders actions against Don Imus will have a further chilling affect upon other American media personalities questioning their authority, such as the popular US movie actor, Charlie Sheen, and who was one of the first to question the events of September 11, 2001, and as we can read as reported by New Zealand Herald News Service in their article titled "Charlie Sheen may voice 9/11 documentary", and which says:
"US actor Charlie Sheen is reportedly in talks to narrate an internet documentary that suggests elements of the US government were behind the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Centre.
Sheen's representatives say he was involved in the production of a new version of Loose Change, a 90-minute conspiracy theory film that has been seen by more than 10 million internet viewers."
Apparently lost upon America's media personalities is that a government being investigated by the International Red Cross for the torture of an Iranian Diplomat by whipping with steel cables on his feet; a government that would have its soldiers imprison in an Ethiopian torture jail a Swedish teenage girl; a government that would even contemplate the release of one of the World's most wanted terrorists, Posada Carriles; does not hesitate, for even a second, to crush any, and all, opposition to it.

To the American people themselves their remains no evidence that they know, much less care, about the dire state of their once Free Nation.

Imus vs. Racists

There are racist blabbing their mouths off all over the radio, plenty worse than Imus' nappy head comment. So why do you think Imus was the victim of an obvious mainstream media attack? Just compare Imus' blabber mouth to these creeps.

I don't like Imus. He's crass and boring. However, if he is a Truther, and if he is not intent on bringing harm to innocents, Im there for him.

All I want...

Is the show this took place on, the full transcript, or the audio. I have not been able to locate it. If you find it, I will jump on this bandwagon faster than you cay say superfragilecalalisticespialadocious.

PRAVDA is a gossip rag

Okay, I'm done. I've listened to too many Tim Russert shows, still no Imus statement. I don't know, something about this Imus story and the speed at which it transpired is very odd. But I guess when we are dealing with mega-spin-professional like Big Media, anything is possible. Perhaps Imus was a setup to taint the Truth Movement. I'm just uncomfortable with that idea for 2 reasons: Imus is a pretty big personality, not to easy to use and abuse, I suspect; the other reason, it is impossible to taint the Truth when it has been revealed - so why try. Anyway, I'm still glad I posted the PRAVDA link. Though, I'll be honest with you, PRAVDA is a gossip rag.

Was Imus a Rove Distraction from Gonzalez and Condi

From Wayne Madsen
http://www.waynemadsenreport.com/
Neo-con alert. DeForest ("Buster") Soaries, the Somerset, NJ preacher of First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens, who, as former New Jersey Republican Secretary of State was the Garden State's version of Ohio Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell in promoting GOP voter fraud by suppressing the African American vote (Soaries was one of the recipients of Ed Rollins' "walkin' around money" in the 1993 New Jersey gubernatorial race to keep parishioners home on Election Day rather than vote for Democratic Governor Jim Florio), was the intermediary chosen by Rutgers University to host a New Jersey Governors' Mansion meeting between fired radio host Don Imus and the Rutgers Women's Basketball team. Soaries' church is attended by Rutgers Women's Basketball team coach Vivian Stringer.
In 2002, Soaries challenged Democratic Representative Rush Holt for his 12th District congressional seat. Holt has long been a proponent of vote reform while Soaries champions the status quo of voter fraud to the detriment of his own race. Soaries is also a strong promoter of Bush's faith-based initiatives.

"Imus & Buster" -- More neocon shenanigans? Looks that way.
Soaries was the person named by George W. Bush to enforce the Help Americans Vote Act (HAVA) as chairman of the US Election Assistance Commission. HAVA was enacted after the debacle of the 2000 election to prevent vote fraud. Instead, under Soaries, HAVA was used to perpetuate voter fraud into the 2004 election. Soaries misused his position to line the pockets of Blackwell with federal money never spent to help Ohioans, particularly African Americans, vote in 2004 and it was Soaries who put pressure on California's Democratic Secretary of State Kevin Shelley, which ultimately resulted in Shelley's resignation and replacement by a Republican appointed by Arnold Schwarzenegger. Soaries never interfered when Blackwell moved Ohio's 2004 streaming election results web site from control of the Secretary of State of Ohio to Smartechcorp of Chattanooga, Tennessee, the same service provider that handles web site services for the Republican National Committee and Georgewbush.com, the president's campaign web site. Smartechcorp is now at the center of the controversy about White House and Justice Department use of parallel and illegal e-mail accounts used for political chicanery, including the firing of US Attorneys. (see below article).
A "loyal Bushie," Soaries was also named by George W. Bush as public director of the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York. The interesting part of Soaries background is that he was a national coordinator for Operation PUSH, the organization founded by Jesse Jackson. Jackson was at the forefront in demanding MS-NBC and CBS fire Imus. Jackson is a divisive figure among a number of African Americans, particularly the Martin Luther King family, many of whom believe Jackson unduly profited from his relationship with the slain civil rights icon.
The relationship of Soaries and Stringer in the demise of Imus point to yet another possible dirty trick by the GOP. Imus, like Howard Stern, is off the public airwaves, maybe permanently, while Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Michael (Weiner) Savage, and other right-wing shills continue to use the public airwaves to spout neo-con imbued hate talk -- material that makes Imus' insensitive comedy bits appear lame in comparison. The neocons are already demanding that Rosie O'Donnell follow Imus and Stern off the public airwaves. This entire matter is beginning to look like another Karl Rove dirty trick - paid for with "good ole GOP walkin' around money." While the Jesse Jacksons and Al Sharptons are demanding accountability from Imus, perhaps they would demand the same from Soaries and Blackwell. Or perhaps that may bring things a bit too close to home.

When did Imus say this? On his show? TV or radio? Is there audio? Transcript? How do we find out any of the above?

This can be easily debunked/proven. All that is required is the transcript from the interview allegedly containing the following quote:

Is someone going to listen to all these?

It would be incredible if Imus actually said this, but it's hard to think we wouldn't have already heard about it.

I've listened to the 3/16

I've listened to the 3/16 and 3/7, no luck.

I'm on the 2/9 interview now. I'm not holding my breath, this is most likely BS, and I would like to put this sucker to bed if it is.

Negative

I listened to the past 7 Imus/Russert interviews which date back to November of 2006. At no point does Imus make the alleged statement.

Nothing to see here folks, move along.

9/11, rosie, imus, and reporter

nursing hangover buddies 30 birthday party layin in bed with the wife and watching CBS this morning and this reporting starts linking What Imus said (nappy headed hoes) to what Rosie said about 9/11 I fell out of bed and hit my head.

Insidious...

The CIA and Co. so wanted to get rid of the rich white guy that they made him choose a student basketball team as the target of his obviously racist remarks.

Imus would not have been fired for speaking out about 9/11. If his idea of what to do with his enormously privileged position as a radio demagogue speaking to millions is to use it for mocking young ladies who had no role until then in the public discourse, and if millions of people get pissed off about it and drive off his advertisers so that the corporation drops him, that's tough.

Come on people... PRAVDA.

Imus is a pig. The

Imus is a pig, but

Of course Imus is vulgar. He's made a succesful carreer on being crass and boorish. His remark against the Rutgers basketball team was disgusting, but nothing out of the ordinary. So why the quick and organized attack against him with the goal of getting him off the air as soon as possible? Don't be naive. If this was a genuine revolt against Imus, it would be a grassroots revolt which would take a few weeks, in the least. This attack on Imus has Big Media fingerprints all over it. Big Media attacking Imus, why? We've just wittnessed a similiar organized attack against Rosie, and we all know the reason why. People, think clearly for a minute. I guarenttee if you met everyone in the Truth Movement, you'd probably dislike many of them. But we get pass that towards getting the Truth out, we see the forrest through the trees. I posted the Imus piece for one simple reason: something smells fishy! And if Imus is a Truther, and he is not bringing physical harm to innocents, I don't care how bad his humor is, I'm a Truther for one and all, and I'll come to his defense.

Right. We get it.

We know the tactics. Try to get us to associate with hate speech in order to flank Rosie O'donnell's WTC'7 arguments. Imus is a diversion. Good try.

Alex Jones seems to agree

Alex Jones seems to agree that Don Imus was going to come forward. he didnt say him by name, but while interviewing Daniel Sunjata he made it prettty obvious that Imus was one of the big names he was talking about coming forward.

I could be wrong...

.....but I interpreted Alex's remarks to mean Mel Gibson (and referring to his drunken anti-Jew remarks when arrested).....AJ knows the Gibson family a little and has interviewed Mel's dad on his show....

didnt he say that it was a

didnt he say that it was a recent screw-up though? he said it was "so obvious" who he was talking about. you might be right though, it actually makes more sense and as you said he has interviewed his dad.

great catch

good info, chris. So many here are making knee-jerk reactions. Don't they know who we are up against? All of us should get over knee-jerking, and take a serious minute to interpert all mainstream news. They obviously do not do anything without a motive. Also, Big Media is not at all concerned with crass and vulgar commentary - just look at FOX. So think for a second, why Imus and why now?

I didn't...

Hear what Alex said, but Mel did do something "controversial" recently as well...

Strange it Is

It is very likely that the comment was made off the air.

Maybe Imus was just blowing steam with Tim Russert and said what he said.

We don't know who was quoted, when, or how; the pravda article does not say anything about that.

Tim Russert or Don Imus should be the ones to ask, the pod cast may not have it.

Mystery Solve, Imus Did Say It !

The statement was NOT made on Imus' show.

The statement was made on Tim Russert's show.

I got confirmation from Hesham Tillawi who basically said the smae thing as Pravda on his radio show and he heard it himself.

Also, I am going to be on his TV show from 8:30 to 9:30 pm Eastern time discussing the content of the following article

"Is it high treason or just a simple case of dereliction of duty?"

Best place to read it, because the pictures are clearer http://www.lonestaricon.com/absolutenm/anmviewer.asp?a=1043&z=103

The original article was on www.muckrakerreport.com

Sorry....

but the mystery is NOT solved. I don't know who Hesham Tillawi is but unless he can point to an authenticated transcript or better yet, video of Imus saying it... this still remains a mystery.

I am sorry too Chris but I don't have the time to parse through Russet's show. What Tillawi told me was sufficient to me.

Everyone here was wasting time with Imus's show; thought to get them on the right track. That was the reason I called him.

I Faxed Tim Russert to get confirmation and faxed Don Imus. When I get the answers, will post here.

Otherwise, you have to go check the transcripts yourself.
