MSNBC.com : Vote for the REALEST Republican Candidate: Ron Paul

Tonight, on MSNBC, the first GOP debate took place.

In my opinion, there was one candidate who answered the questions honestly and openly.

Ron Paul.

Many candidates avoided questions, skirted around answering directly, or seemed to try to placate the viewers.

You can vote on the candidates here:

Thanks for writing this. It's frightening in the extreme to think of what some of these fanatics might do if Americans are dull witted enough to elect them---or if they gain office in spite of how people vote as with Bush & Co. The complicity of the media in all of this is staggering. Until we regain the proper functioning of the Fourth Estate it will be difficult to make significant changes. If enough people complain to advertisers (as per Don Imus) the media will snap to attention. All they really care about is money and if the advertisers start to vote with their feet in protest to skewed editorial policies they will be forced to reform. Failing in this we are heading straight for a nation of idiots, brainwashed less by lies than by ommission of reporting on what is actually occurring.

Rate the Republican Candidates.

You can also rate each candidates performance in the debate here. The results are good so far.

Ron Paul has the most positive votes.

Encouraging...

...that Ron Paul is doing well early. I hope that this is indicative of more than his grassroots activism at work and is showing that more generic "conservatives" are getting fed up with murders, slick liars and con artists posing as statesmen.

Like you will forget:

The 2007 First-In-The-South Republican Party Presidential Candidates Debate will be televised live by FOX News Channel at 9:00 PM from the University of South Carolina’s Koger Center for the Arts on Tuesday, May 15, 2007.

All ten are in this one, too. If Paul does well, it will be unlikely that he will shut out of the rest. The GOP honchos must be pissing their pants.
