Ron Paul Rides High In Polls After GOP Debate

Friday, May 4, 2007

Ron Paul is currently riding high in the polls after last night's GOP
Presidential debate, jockeying for first position with Mitt Romney and

ahead of both Rudy Giuliani and John McCain.

A major MSNBC poll currently has Paul at 30% approval, compared to Romney
at 31%. McCain and Giuliani are at 21% and 27% respectively.

Here's a link to an earlier screenshot of the poll, showing Ron Paul at 47%.

Several readers tell us that Paul shot ahead in the early stages of the
poll, and this is verified from an MSNBC news clip last night in which

Keith Olbermann states Paul has received 39% of the vote.

Fox News claims that John McCain won the debate and that Romney also did
well because he is "handsome" and spouted rhetoric about "God
and country." Ron Paul is the only real candidate talking about real

issues and he is also the only contender who is not completely bought
and paid for by Neo-Con warmongers.

LOOK at the guy's record!...

From his myspace account:

He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.
He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.
He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.

No wonder the media is trying to ignore this guy.

Notice how MSNBC has

Notice how MSNBC has featured the most unflattering photo of Ron Paul in the poll, whereas every other candidate's fat mug is boldly displayed.

And YouTube seems to have deactivated the Paul GOP Debate video, as well as the LCFC teaser, as I've been unable to view either of them all day, whilst everything else on that bloody site is perfectly streaming.

Ron Paul + Dennis Kucinich

Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich ought to run together on the same independent ticket and agree to flip a coin to determine which of them will be president and which of them vice-president. Their staffs should start meeting in secret to work out the differences in their political platforms which will seem be minor when they realize that they are the only politicians talking about preserving Constitutional freedoms.

Ron Paul added to ABC poll

Yes.... ABC..... what about Paul???

See if you can find the reference to Paul who is currently destroying in your above poll???

unfrigginbelievable. almost

unfrigginbelievable. almost every comment was in support of Ron Paul. every poll ive seen so far has been for Ron Paul. need any more proof that the 5 or so companies that own the media shape reality? when i see stuff like this it makes me feel very conflicted. im happy because a guy like Ron Paul at least on some level seems to be getting much more support than anyone gives him credit for. but on the other hand its depressing how effective our media is. and not in a good way.

This is...

What happens when you add Ron Paul...

Do you see that Rudy? Everyone knows you're a piece of shit.

It's Not The Crime That Kills You, But The Cover-Up

Ron Paul is now at 4,024

Ron Paul is now at 4,024 with "it doesnt matter" being the next closest at 413. f*ck the media. they will NEVER mention this poll, or the MSNBC one, or the C-Span one etc.

How will fox and the other media outlets handle Paul's next appearance and all the online polls?
This is going to get SO interesting as it becomes harder and harder for them to ignore him as more people actually watch the debates.

My only fear is how they'll fix the voting machine results during the primaries.

I honestly don't think I would be able to handle the rage at that time seeing him get "beat" by Creationist Romney, McCain and Giuliani.

ROFLMAO Jon Gold !

Thanks, bro, best laugh all week.

I can barely type this I'm laughing so hard.

People love Ron Paul's message!

He's KILLING in the CSPAN poll too. Vote here:

Go Dr. Paul! Founding Father material, this man crosses the fake boundaries with his appeal.

Here are some highlights.

Daricus -

Thank you very much for posting this.

I think I may have to put a Ron Paul sticker on the back of my van to mess with the very "liberal" people in my county. LOL

Right now I have to say Dr. Paul is the best candidate running, hands down.

I hope that you and yours are well.

The truth shall set us free. Love is the only way forward.

I snooped around looking for polls - they *ALL* spiked Ron Paul as a winner - some were still moving that way. pulled the poll off thier page - I wonder why?

Why is this guy?

Why is this guy a republican?

Help me shout 9/11 articles on:

Ever Seen ...

.. a libertarian debate on the Major Networks?

I am not that much into U.S. politics... but lately most of the assholes are churned out by the Republican Party:

1. The current administration
2. Guliani
3. Mcain

This guy stands as a distinct choice, almost better than all the Republican and Democrats combined.

Help me shout 9/11 articles on:

Fingers crossed.

If this momentum keeps up through the elections, the biggest upset in US Political history is in the making.

Abraham Lincoln

Was a Republican. The name of the party is irrelevant, but if the leadership is benevolent and efficient the entire structure takes on those characteristics.

The debate was mentioned in today's SF Chronicle, but I saw no mention of Ron Paul (and I only bothered to read the article because of seeing him mentioned in 'comments' last night). Maybe I need to read it over with a magnifying glass.

Now if him and Kucinich got together with a few others, like maybe John Conyers and Cindy McKinney, could they start a new political party, one that wasn't controlled by AIPAC and corporate $$$? Maybe call for a new investigation into 9/11?

How naive I am...

Kucinich= anti guns= no vote from me.

He was the first to push an Anti-gun bill after the VT massacre. I dont trust a man that wants to disarm the citizens. Guns are in our hands to keep the Government honest.

A man willing to undo the 2nd amendment isn't really a man who gives a rat's ass about the Constitution of the United States.

Disarming the citizens is the absolutely LAST thing to do as our leadership grows into a dictatorship. He must miss the big picture.

In fairness

I think Kucinich just has an optimistic view of human nature. He sees a different big picture. Not that you were that harsh, but I'm tired of people bashing Kucinich on here just because he's not a gun guy.

Sorry. I just get passionate when I think about guns becoming illegal for all citizens in this country, as Kucinich wants.

It's the second amendment for a reason - not the fifth or tenth.

Go and harass/post at the abc site!

They left Paul out of the poll all together!

Go post!!!

Find a public "bitch" area and make it known

Yeah, I'm sure they just "forgot" him. Or maybe it was a technical glitch.

It's Not The Crime That Kills You, But The Cover-Up

I simply cannot IMAGINE this sort of shit happening.
It feels surreal to see something like this! WTF?!

Holy crap.

Boy, if the media's handling of Ron Paul is any indication of the fear he's creating behind the scenes, there should be some interesting debates on the horizon.

I've been reading forums where he's being refered to as a radical or a kook....yeah, for loving the constitution.
What a country.

Is your name...

this is really exciting

this is really exciting

Time says Mitt Romney won the debate...

What debate were they watching? Then when they were forced to talk about Dr. Paul, they gave him a paltry B grade, they attempted to marginalize him just like Bill Maher, and they failed, as Maher failed. Thanks to the internet anyone can listen to him whenever they want, and his wisdom stands for itself.

Take it to the Mass Media on May 11

Over ten times the next guy..... This is huge!!

A margin like that can not be argued. Ron Paul just made himself!

9/11 Truth at the debates and in the Ventura County Star

Read the report here.

from the Ventura County Star:

"Young earnest, well heeled people in dark suits and pearls waving placards for former Ny City mayor Rudy Giuliani stood next to a contingent of folks with a huge banner that proclaimed 'Rudy without 9/11 you are nothing' and signs demanding the truth about the attacks on New York and the Pentagon.

"George Lopez of Thousand Oaks isn't a big Giuliani fan. He was with those demanding the truth about the about the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001 'I just wish people would would wake up and ask questions' he said."

The rest of the story talked about the the supporters out there. The little picture with the article contains a very readable "stop the 9/11 cover up" sign.

Thanks to ArtV for the pic and the report and to everyone who got out there for 9/11 truth!

water and oil

I can't see Ron Paul being fond of Kucinich's disregard for the second amendment.

Was researching Paul's record last night and saw something that'd truly get him killed. He doesn't favor U.S. aid to Israel and, as most of us know, he wants to eliminate the Federal Reserve... Last guy that wanted those things was assassinated....JFK.

I'm so disgusted that we live in a country where comments like "oh, then HE'LL end up dead" are accepted and BELIEVED by average Americans. I was telling some people about Ron Paul and they seemed so excited by his message, and then made some comment like that.
Seriously, if the guy started getting a national following and posed a risk of actually winning or inspiring too many Americans, he'd be off'd, and we'd all KNOW who and why, but we would be powerless.
This is why the Truth movement is so important and critical, and patriotic. We're exposing this sort of horrible evil bullshit.

Anyone think there's a direct correlation between 911 truth spreading and the US dollar dying? If not a correlation, then just very VERY bad timing. A nation of people realizing that their savings and 401Ks are gone forever wouldn't really give a damn about 911 Truth. They'd be too busy scrambling for a new currency and our beloved govt to help them out.

Tired -

I don't think that there is a direct correlation between 9/11 Truth and the US dollar dying. The dollar has been on this path for well over two decades now. With the emerging collapse of the US housing market due to massive mortgage fraud, the perpetual Ponzi scam that has kept the US economy afloat is on its last legs. The major foreign US currency holders have been quietly shifting their holdings out of the dollar at an increasing rate since 9/11 as they know what really happened and see the US as a failing state. I think if another 9/11 type event were to happen they'd pull the plug very quickly.

It is possible that as the rest of the world sees a second American revolution beginning they would choose to dump the dollar. However, I would hope that we can convince them that as Americans take our country back we will become a responsible and respectful neighbor and to assist in this transition by not pulling the financial plug on our economy. One way to do this is to strengthen out ties within the international Truth community and I think that William Rodriguez is performing an invaluable service as our lead ambassador in this regard. China has no interest in ruling the world, they have enough internal problems to prevent them from being able to do this and are only interested in dominating their region and insuring their future sustainability.

I disagree that if the dollar/economy were to crash that the American people would turn away from 9/11 Truth. I think that they would be asking alot of questions and that we should be prepared to show them how everything connects together in a direct, straightforward and non-partisan way.

I agree with you completely that Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich are not compatible, for a whole variety of reasons. IMO, Rep. Kucinich is not viable as a national candidate for office and while we may be able to push him to make some noise in Congress about 9/11, we should not invest too much energy in him as part of any long-term solution (he is a tactical tool, only).

I hope that you and your are well.

The truth shall set us free. Love is the only way forward.

Take the time and watch this video. It will explain where our money came from and where it is going. Everything Leftwright is saying is described in this video in detail.

The Money Masters

Internet Neutrality

Was thinking about the media blackout of Ron Paul's performance.
They don't really even need to control the internet, they practically control it already in the sense that it is completely ignored.
Spoke to my parents and asked them if they watched the debate. They said no.
I asked them if they had heard about Ron Paul on the radio or TV. My mother said "Who? I heard that Giuliani and McCane and that other guy did the best."

Why isn't Ron Paul linked

Why isn't Ron Paul linked onthe MSNBC vote site?

Ahhh, democracy in America ...

Though each may hope to convert the other to his way of seeing science and its problems, neither may hope to prove his case. The competition between paradigms is not the sort of battle that can be resolved by proof.

Thomas Khun - The Structure of Sc

Ron Paul for president ! Did

Ron Paul for president !

Did you hear Ron Paul, he said the amazing thing that he would abolish the IRS.

That is the heart of political and economic gangster country.

The people would elect Ron Paul on this alone.
The hidden powers would eliminate RP on this alone.

All the money we pay the IRS goes to pay for the interest on the national debt.
And ALL that money goes into the pocket of the people who own the private Federal Reserve.
NONE of that money goes to building infrastructure or any other benefit to the American people.
I think we paid about a trillion dollars last year in income tax.
This is all tied to the inception of the Federal Reserve and amendment 16 which are completely contrary to the prinicples of the constitution.
Our forefathers warned us that private central banks are worst for the country than invading armies.

Equip yourself with knowledge about the private federal reserve and the related IRS scams.

The federal reserve is there to maintain the monopoly of the large New York banks, not to serve or enrichen the American people.
The federal reserve is used by the congress as a go around to borrow money for whatever it wants without having to go to the American people directly to ask them to raise taxes. Raising taxes shortens the careers of politicians that is why they have agreed to this symbiotic relationship with the federal reserve. The American citizen then ends up paying the bill to the federal reserve thru income taxes.

THe FR makes out and also the Congress makes out. The owners of the FR become so rich they start owning everything such as the MSM and the entire war industry (Raytheon, Boeing ...). The AMerican people lose their free press, their military and their liberties.

This is not the whole story. THe federal reserve also controls inflation (up or down) thru printing money and thru regulating the interest rates. This gives them power to have inflations or deflations which allows them to financially destroy all foes and enrichen themselves. Can you imagine the advanatage you would have if you knew where the interest rates were going monthly. You could make huge bets. Can you imagine if you knew where the price of gold was going ? The price of gold for the past 30 some years has been controlled by the central banks (lately they have been losing control of the price of gold ?). And i would be lying if I said I knew even 30% of the ways the FR can enrich itself thru our present financial system.

Don't believe me, do your own research. : America freedom to fascism

One approach to telling people about 911 if the direct approach does not work (like the guy's mother in one of the above comments):

Ask someone, what they think of the federal reserve.
Then tell them it is private.
In 5 minutes it can be proved if you are equipped.

Then tell people, if you didn't know this extremely strategically vital thing that controls our money then are you sure you are clear about everything else.

Then proceed to tell them about false flag operations starting with the Gulf of Tonkin, Operation Ajax, Reichstag fire.

Then start working on them with JFK (tell them about the new revelations about CIA agent Hunt) and finally 911.

Maybe for some people to just hit them with 911 is too much. They are too confident in their knowledge. You have to slowly break down that false confidence.

The fact that they did not know this immensely important thing about the federal reserve should HUMBLE them to the point where they can receive other things. They have to realize that they have been propagandized for their whole life by an extremely powerful disinformation system. Its not a crime or shame to be ignorant but it is a crime and shame to stay ignorant.

Bottom line. Don't get stuck in approaching everyone the same way.

A must watch

Classic Ron Paul

LISTEN to the way Maher tries to attack this guy. It bounces off of Paul like bullets off of Superman.
Maher is a joke and just another example of the well-cloaked media ACTING liberal.

Exciting to think of Ron Paul wanting to do away with the CIA, but it needs to be said that JFK wanted the same thing and made a ton of friends in the CIA as a result.

you nailed it. Bill Maher embarrassed himself.

Ron Paul with Alex Jones (Part 1)

Ron Paul gone viral?

Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, who barely registers in public opinion polls of the Republican presidential field, won last Thursday night's debate.

That was the unmistakable conclusion of the online poll posted by debate sponsor MSNBC, which registered Paul with higher positive ratings and lower negative numbers than any of the other nine candidates on the stage.

ABC's post-debate Internet survey showed an even clearer victory for Paul, with the congressman taking more than 9,400 of 11,000 votes as of 12:30 p.m. Monday. (Rudy Giuliani is the next ranked candidate, with barely 150 votes.)

So are the polls missing a Paul boomlet? Is the famously contrarian ob-gyn -- a libertarian nicknamed "Dr. No" because of his propensity to vote against anything he believes contradicts the Constitution's original intent -- poised to surge into contention in the GOP field?

Not likely. What's more likely, based on Web traffic over the past week, is that Paul supporters have mastered the art of "viral marketing," using Internet savvy and blog postings to create at least the perception of momentum for his long-shot presidential bid.

The Ron Paul Effect
Since online polls aren't scientific -- people choose to take them, and many people vote multiple times -- doing well in them doesn't necessarily mean a campaign is on the move.

But Internet buzz can have a carry-over effect, said Peter Greenberger, an online strategist at New Media Strategies and a former Democratic political operative.

"It's evidence of something -- either passionate supporters, active supporters, or just one very savvy supporter who's able to vote several thousand times," Greenberger said. "If it leads to one or two stories in the mainstream media, that could lead to a bounce online, and could lead to some fundraising successes."

With strong support among libertarians who are unhappy with the top-tier Republican contenders, Paul has a robust online presence.

His MySpace profile boasts nearly 12,000 "friends." Today, his name ranks in the Top 10 among blog search terms at, behind Paris Hilton but ahead of Mario Lopez

After Thursday night's debate, the comment sections of several major news organizations -- including ABC's -- were inundated with pro-Paul messages.

Viewers raved about Paul's commitment to abolishing the IRS, his steadfast opposition to a national ID card, and a forthright tone that bloggers said set him apart from the other candidates onstage.
