Canned Response from my Congresswoman, Nita Lowey

Last week I wrote my congresswoman, Nita Lowey, a letter requesting the reopening of an independent investigation into the events of 9/11. I received a form letter response today thanking me for expressing my views on the war in Iraq.

What a surprise.

I wrote her another letter (see below) and intend to post any response she provides to get her on record. I also urge all of you to do the same with your congresspersons.

Congresswoman Lowey –

I wrote you through your website last week regarding reopening an independent and impartial investigation into the events of 9/11. I received back from you a form email regarding the war in Iraq. I am very disappointed in this canned response. Frankly, I expected more from you. As such, I offer you another chance to respond.

I urge you to reopen the investigation into the events of 9/11/2001.

The official story of what happened on 9/11 is implausible. Not to mention that every effort has been made to cover-up the evidence of the biggest crime in our short history. And to top that off, even the FBI admitted on June 5 2006 that it had no hard evidence linking Osama Bin Laden to the attacks of 9/11.

Please take the time to review the content of to begin to get a picture of what really happened. I also urge you and your staff to perform your own research simply by Googling “911 Truth”. Watch videos, read peer reviewed papers and look at what former military and intelligence officers are saying. Please look at the Sibel Edmunds case, too. And by all means, study the 9/11 Commission Report and the NIST report. They are tragically inaccurate and misleading.

I intend to post this letter as well as any response(s) you provide on the websites and

I also intend to follow up again should I not receive a response that addresses 9/11 truth.

Thank you for your time and attention to this matter of global importance.

Contacting Our Representatives.

Damn Ken. That's taking it to them. Those in power! Great effort and inspiring post. Good news for you is that my Representative has ignored numerous communications from me regarding 9/11 as well, your not alone. Others I know have contacted him as well regarding the anomalies of 9/11 and the implausibility of the Official Commission Report, all to no avail. I also think its interesting seeing videos of people handing dvd's to their representatives, and the dumb looks on their faces when they are actually confronted with the truth. Getting to these guys is still the ultimate answer if we are going to succeed though. I look at it now, my actions, as important for informing the staff members of these people's offices at least. You gotta try? Hopefully we get a groundswell going where people can no longer ignore the unpleasant facts that make them so uncomfortable. Peace.

Every representative should be asked

Hi Ken,

Great effort! It would be nice if the movement can collate the responses of all representatives in one website. That website should then be used by 9-11 activists as a resource when making information and protest materials. It would be nice to see future activists holding banners that read "Representative X rejects 9-11reinvestigation. Scared of the truth?". That should put pressure on them that is hard not to notice.

I would also like to plug my call for a Congressional investigation here I hope to get your support.

My concept is to have the movement request a reinvestigation in such a way that the movement maintains influence in the investigation. It would be nice if a small team of renowned 9-11 researchers request a representative in person to conduct the investigation. At the same time as that is taking place a big crowd of 9-11 activists outside that venue could hold a peaceful but highly visible rally. If everything is put on video, then the representative cannot reject the investigation without incurring bad publicity.

You have my support.

I'm with you, Ken

At least you got a response. I’ve written a couple of emails to my Congressman (Jim Moran, D-Va.) and don’t even get an acknowledgement. I also emailed John Edwards after he "gave his word" in Tuscon to look into Buillding 7. No reply, except canned letters asking for money.

I’m surprised this blog hasn’t had more traffic. I think it’s a great idea to confront our Congressmen and put them on record about 9/11. That’s what truth squads are all about.

Just for the record, let me share this story. Last year, sometime in March, a few weeks after I woke up to 9/11 truth, Moran was having one of his Saturday morning town meetings at a local coffee house. I knew he had opposed the Iraq war from the start and had even hosted a major event in January with John Murtha, calling for a troop pullout. So I decided to go and ask him about 9/11.

There were about 30-40 people there asking him various questions on immigration, education, zoning, etc. Finally the subject came around to Iraq and the WMD’s. I raised my hand from the back of the room, stood up and said something like this:

“You mentioned pretexts for the Iraq war. I’ve recently become aware of something far more sinister. There have been growing questions on the internet recently by scientists and other scholars about 9/11. I’m having trouble wrapping my mind around it, but they seem to suggest that the World Trade Center was brought down by controlled demolition [here everyone suddenly turned around and stared at me]. In light of this evidence, is there any thought to re-opening the investigation on 9/11?”

After a long pause, Moran said No. He went on about how he knew Kean and Hamilton well, that they were honorable men, that they did a thorough job with the 9/11 Commission, and there was no reason to think it was anything but what they concluded. Then, he almost floored me with this: he said he had had lunch a couple of weeks ago with Larry Silverstein, and that Silverstein was a genuinely nice guy who couldn’t possibly have done anything to hurt people.

I didn’t know enough at the time to realize this might be significant. Why is Silverstein having lunch with an outspoken critic of the Iraq war who had even accused the Jewish community of pushing us into it?
(See Why did Moran even volunteer this?

It was a sobering moment. Someone worked their way over and thanked me for asking the question, and I learned I was not alone. Unfortunately it wasn’t videotaped, but I do have a witness, so Moran can’t deny what happened.

A month later, I went to a lecture by Webster Tarpley and that’s when the dc911truth group was born.

USA Patriot - I applaud your activism

I applaud you for your actions. And I find your story about Moran very interesting but not surprising.

Frankly I am a little disappointed at the lack of action on behalf of some of the members of this site. Seems to me, most want only to comment on Rosie news or other high profile issues. The fact is nothing will ever get done just by talking about things. We need to stop thinking like audience members and start behaving like leaders.

There is no excuse for anyone on this site not to write their congressperson and demand that they take a position on 9/11 truth. No excuse. In fact, I challenge all of you to do your part for the world and request answers from your elected officials. Now.

Remember, they are supposed to work for us! Promise them you will not vote for them without answers. Demand answers. If you get a response, I will post it. If you don’t get a response, I will post that, too! We must hold them accountable - every last one of them!

A day does not go by that I do not try to come up with some idea for action and truth dissemination. A day does not go by that I do not speak to people directly about 9/11 and related issues. A day does not go by that I do not write someone in government, media, or on the Internet regarding 9/11 truth. I urge you all to leave this site for an hour or so and actually make something happen. Then come back to the site and tell us about what YOU have done. Talk is cheap. Take action now!

Of course, there are some amazing bloggers and activists on this site and I do not mean in any way to disparage their efforts. They are the ones that inspire me to work harder and smarter. And I thank you.

I just wish more of you would put your money and actions where your mouths are. And, not just on the eleventh of every month.

Isn't it nice to have a dialogue with your Rep?

I wrote my Rep well over a year ago asking him to move forward on impeachment; the form letter I got back discussed his views on setting a timetable for the Iraqi withdrawal. (BTW, he has now retired into a job as the chancellor of the local state university campus....) Have you seen the progress that's been made on the withdrawal? About the same amount that's been made on impeachment and the investigation of ... well, you know...
