If you could ask Philip Zelikow just one Question...

Were you...

Or were you not advised by the Bush Administration on what to include, and what not to include in the 9/11 Report?

That is

alot better than what I was thinking of. Good question.

Thanks...

I was trying to be as "to the point" as possible. It is just one question after all. Under oath. Attached to a lie detector.

PZ questions:

Were you on Cipro like the Whitehouse before the military anthrax?

Why didn't you recuse yourself like Kissinger due to your conflicts of interest?

Mr. Zelikow, what were you thinking on 9/11

Mr. Zelikow,

Putting aside your past and self proclaimed expertise in creating "public myths",1 what were you thinking after the attacks of 9/11--making reference to your statement in 1997 in which you discussed a hypothetical nuclear blast used at the 1993 WTC bombing?

"An act of catastrophic terrorism that killed thousands or tens of thousands of people and/or disrupted the necessities of life for hundreds of thousands, or even millions, would be a watershed event in America’s history. It could involve loss of life and property unprecedented for peacetime and undermine Americans’ fundamental sense of security within their own borders in a manner akin to the 1949 Soviet atomic bomb test, or perhaps even worse. Constitutional liberties would be challenged as the United States sought to protect itself from further attacks by pressing against allowable limits in surveillance of citizens, detention of suspects, and the use of deadly force. More violence would follow, either as other terrorists seek to imitate this great ‘success’ or as the United States strikes out at those considered responsible. Like Pearl Harbor, such an event would divide our past and future into a ‘before’ and ‘after.’”2

1 The idea of 'public presumption'," he explained, "is akin to William McNeill's notion of 'public myth' but without the negative implication sometimes invoked by the word 'myth.' Such presumptions are beliefs (1) thought to be true (although not necessarily known to be true with certainty), and (2) shared in common within the relevant political community."[1]"

Question #2

Dr. Zelikow, given your expertise at creating "public myths", would you ever engage in such fabrications in your role as executive director of the 9/11 commission?

Man, I can't wait until the real trial starts.

Do you have anything to say before you are sentenced?

Would you be willing to defend your version of what happened on 9/11 in a public debate with David Ray Griffin, author of "The 9/11 Commission Report: Omissions And Distortions", and if so, what city and when specifically?

Cheney

Jon's question is the best, because it invites Zelikow to perjor himself, but I have a question too.

I have a two-part question about VP Cheney's arrival in the PEOC, and his actions while in the PEOC.

First, the 9/11 Commission Report says Cheney arrived in the bunker at 9:58am. According to Richard Clarke and Norman Mineta, there is very conclusive evidence that Cheney was in the bunker at least 30 minutes earlier. Why did you decide on 9:58 as the arrival time, contrary to the known evidence?

Second, according to Norman Mineta's testimony, while in the PEOC prior to the crash of Flight 77 into the Pentagon at 9:37, Cheney had an exchange with an aide in which the aide repeatedly warned Cheney of an incoming plane and asked if "the orders still stand". Cheney told him "of course" the orders still stand. Shortly thereafter, Flight 77 hit the Pentagon. What was the name of the aide, and specifically what were these orders?

My question would be...

Why did you not discuss the collapse of Building 7 at all in the 9/11 Commission Report

That was answered by Lee Hamilton...

How do you feel in the small hours when the ghosts come?

When did you begin work on NSS 2002?
