7:00pm - 9/11: Blueprint for Truth – 130 Architects & Engineers Examine the Evidence with Richard Gage, AIA, Architect
Bay Area Architect Richard Gage, AIA, will discuss the features of all 3 World Trade Center building collapses. Not only the Twin Towers, but also 47-story World Trade Center Building #7, not hit by an airplane, completely "collapsed" on September 11, 2001 at nearly free-fall speed.
Architects and engineers are especially invited to attend this event.
"The tall, strong Twin Towers were broken into very small pieces and massive clouds of dust long before anything hit the ground," Gage observes. "We did not see them 'collapse' that morning – we saw them explode into dust and individual steel components. Watch the videos for yourself – they are widely available on the Internet (including ours at www.AE911Truth.org) and they all show the same essential features. Flashes of light and sounds of explosions were witnessed by 118 first responders – recorded by the FDNY. Huge rubble clouds formed immediately and symmetrically outside the buildings as they fell. The destruction was of amazing speed, evenness, and thoroughness, that it could only have been very carefully engineered and planned in advance."
Tons of molten iron "flowing like lava" was found by demolition crews and by Leslie Robertson, the World Trade Center structural engineer. This observation can only be explained by the use of thermite, an incendiary used by the military to cut through steel. Chemical analysis on the steel and the dust performed by physicist Steven Jones, Ph.D., and 3 other scientists found the classic signature traces of thermite.
Gage has been joined by more than 130 architects and engineers who have signed an online petition to the members of the House of Representatives and the Senate demanding a truly independent investigation with subpoena power.
Gage has made his presentation to several California architectural firms, colleges, and universities. At the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada, he and author Barrie Zwicker spoke to over 500 people at two events. More than 90% of those in attendance agreed with his conclusions.

Publish These Conclusions!
I would like to see Architects and Engineers publish their findings in a book... a "9/11 Study Group" Report re: the WTC collpases. This could be a big shot in the arm for the movement to have a published study by qualified experts that contradicts the Kean Commission Report.
We need something that we can hold up to provide credibility for controlled demolition and the absolute need for a new investigation. Something that can reside in bookstores right alongside the bogus "9/11 Commission Report," -- as well as libraries, etc. Something that can be presented to academics, professors, and politicians of all stripes.
I love the banner and think that it would make a good book title.

I think an important reason several academic theologians have been at the forefront of 9/11 truth studies is that that is the academic discipline that's least dependent on governmental grants for its studies, publications etc. Separation of church and state and all that.
Most academics recognize that the success of their careers is considerably reliant on getting those grants, or at least in earning the approval of many colleagues reliant on those grants.
Of course, when one veteran physics professor, Steven Jones, leaped into the 9/11 fray, his longtime stream of particle physics grants suddenly -- and without credible explanation -- dried up. Such is the power of the federal government to manipulate the strings of scholarship to its liking.
What academics -- those putatively disinterested seekers of knowledge and truth -- are the most obvious candidates for uncovering 9/11 truth? One might assume those in journalism, history, political science, public policy, and engineering. One might assume wrong. The silence from those quarters is almost deafening.
Instead others, less government-reliant, have had to step forward to fill the vacuum among academics: those in theology, philosophy, English -- and a brave physicist and a brave engineer who have essentially torpedoed their own academic careers.

Good points. As well, it 's not only individual academics whose funding is vulnerable, but their host institutions'. Most universities in the US receive massive federal $$ which are directly threatened by "rogue" truth tellers who manage to gain traction. Institutional and political analysis is okay, because it gives the necessary illusion of balance (and gives the right wingers a reason to kvetch about "collegiate liberalism"), but calling out black-ops is verbotin.
I don't think it is a coincidence that Chomsky holds the line on the JFK assassination and 9/11 -- MIT is one of the largest recipients of federal funding in higher education. Let him yammer on about East Timor and corporate ill-deeds as much as he likes -- most Americans can't understand or don't care. But take a principled stand on 9/11? Watch the wrath of the reich come down on the MIT Board like a shit storm from hell...
As the old saw goes, "Never fully trust an academic who doesn't have 'Emeritus' in his title."
