Alex Jones = Right winger
Make no mistake, Alex Jones is way, way right-wing. "Endgame" is scary. For one thing, it tries to claim that the enviromental movement and pro-choice advocates are fronts intent on killing off 80 percent of the world's population.
This is no help for 9/11 Truth. I'm very sorry to see Loose Change and We Are Change NYC teaming up with Alex Jones. I hope we can stay focused on bringing the 9/11 criminals to light and to justice. Alex Jones may uncover useful facts now and then, but his overview interpretation of world politics is downright scary. Stay away.
I agree...
One thing that bothers me about seeing all these truth video's on the street is the approach many are taking. The Truther will shout something like, "Investigate 911...Truth NOW!" This strategy extremely ineffective. Imagine driving by a group and seeing bunch of signs that say, "Free Jumilla!" and shouting. You drive/walk right by.
First off, you have to have your facts straight. You need to have 5 top key points ready to discuss and another 100 on tap. Then, you need to start the conversation with something important and engaging like, "Excuse me sir, do you know what Thermate is? Well, it brought down the WTC's..."
Second, you need to engage everyone you know. You already have credibility with them. You don't have a huge obstacle to hurdle. Shouting on a street corner is useless. Once your friends and family know, it will ultimately become viral. I had a movie night where I told them we were gonna sip a little wine and watch "Jerry Maguire"...then I popped in Loosechange. It blew their minds. This tactic was surprisingly successful.
If you are a good enough speaker and an expert...well, then you can join the circuit with DRG and Gage.
I think the point of street
I think the point of street demonstration is to give permission to the pedestrians walking by rahter than to give information. That is, those who demonstrate are showing their willingness to exhibit their unorthodox and heretical beliefs about 9/11. These are not meant to convince those who are unconvinced, but give permission to those who are already questioning the oct.
As to Alex Jones, he is a paleoconvservative and quite up front about it. Sometimes he presents very valuable information, but the ideology he's pushing, the conspiracy theory version of history for instance, or the fundamentalist Christianity, is a retrograde ideology.

The left does not have a monopoly on the 911 truth movement... Years ago, I considered myself "right wing". Now, I know that the entire left/right paradigm is B.S. I am for small government and national sovereignty because centralization of power makes it easier for ruthless evil men to take over. Endgame is scary because it's so way off the mark. I support the environmental movement. I support a woman's right to choose. I don't support Alex Jones. It's a real mistake for "9/11 truth" to allign itself with Alex Jones and his fantasy worldview.

I have always suspected the Sierra Club
and others were co opted. But the right to have children? Pretend ten of us live on an island. There is enough food for 10. You, however, decide you can have as many children as you choose. You ignore the entreaties from the original 10. You have a couple kids. We shoot you and your children. Do your rights to have children supercede our rights to live? Don't think so.
Many people don't like to talk about peak oil. For one or another silly false beliefs. But here is the deal. It is peaking. It is .. and all the peaking natural resources comprise.... much of the underlying reason for 9/11. Read a recent report on the peaking of the natural phosphates. You know. The stuff you put in dirt to make plants grow.
Insecticides come from oil. Fertilizers from oil/natural gas. Energy to run farm equipment, to make farm equipment, from oil. With all of that stuff, a hectare of land can produce enough food to support say, 40 souls. You take all of that away and how many can you support? 10. Think of that globally. Three quarters of the population.
You are witnessing, probably, the beginning of the final global resource wars right now. Worse yet to come. Who gets to eat. Who dies.

Alex Jones Is a Left-Wing Liberal
The terms "left" and "right" in the political sense go back to 1789 in France. When the French Estates-General (États-Généraux) met on May 6, 1789, the Third Estate commoners, who wanted less taxes and government control (i.e., "laissez-faire"), were seated on the left side of King Louis XVI, and the Second Estate nobles and First Estate clergy, who were the conservatives and wanted to maintain the government's power, sat on his right. (Prior to the May 1789 convention of the French Estates-General [the first meeting of which was on May 5, 1789], the last time the Estates-General had met was under King Louis XIII from October 27, 1614 to February 23, 1615.)
Also, "liberal" originally meant what we would call today (at least in the U.S. and Canada) "libertarian," i.e., laissez-faire free market, less taxes, less regulation, and gun ownership by the common people. Thus, in the original sense of the words, someone who wanted no taxes, all drugs to be legal, a free market, and armament of the common people would be a left-wing liberal.
The term "liberal" as it is commonly used today is purely and simply a misnomer meaning the opposite of what it originally meant, as those commonly called "liberals" today are about giving government more power, not in stripping government of power. Those commonly called "liberals" today are in fact *right-wing conservatives* in the original sense of that political term. So also, socialism and communism are exceedingly *right-wing* and *conservative* political philosophies, as they put all power into the hands of government, rather than strip government of power.
Of course, this change in the meaning of liberalism (such that today it means the opposite of what it originally meant) was by no accident. Authentic liberalism represents the only genuine threat to statism (i.e., right-wing conservatism, in the original sense of the term), and due to liberalism's triumphs in gaining the intellectual high-ground during the 19th century, it was necessary for the ruling elite to subvert the liberal agenda if they were to survive. The ruling elite did this by sabotaging the very meaning of the terms "liberalism" and "left-wing"--such that these terms now popularly mean the opposite of what they once did--via bankrolling and promoting self-termed "liberal" court intellectuals who in fact promote the right-wing, conservative agenda, i.e., statism, i.e., collectivism. Thus, in doing this, the ruling elite succeeded in changing the meaning of their oppositional philosophy to a philosophy that supports their empowerment! That is, the ruling elite created another branch of right-wing conservatism, nowadays called by the misnomer "liberalism," so also by the names of socialism and Communism.

Very nice review
Generally, I found your review coherent and not much is there with which we might disagree. Although I do disagree about Peak Oil. You take the 'scam' side, I take the other. After much review of the material. Peak Oil (and peaking other resources) a discussion which has yet to conclude and given the elites' control of the media, it is hard to determine what is real and what is not. (although the current geopolitical maneuverings are clearly, and at least in a big part, concerned about resource control.) Personally, I find Alex Jone's work mostly credible and am looking forward to seeing his group's new movie, 'Endgame'. For me, I'd bet this will be a more enlightening movie than will be 'Loose Change, Final Cut" (though I am not disparaging the latter). I, strangely, find myself warming to Jones, warts and all. The main issues are preservation of the Republic and the necessary distruction of the elites and all they represent.
I do, however, believe burgeoning population vs earth resources available to sustain all the people to be the crucial issue. While others may disagree, I find the evidence supporting this issue as crucial to be overwhelming. The question of how the balance between population and the earth's viability as a biosphere is to be achieved is the very big elephant in the room. The elites' solution (benefitting them of course) is to cull billions of souls from the planet. (and make the rest serfs). I hope the earth's peoples rise up in revolution against these powerful manipulators and destroyers of life. How to constrain the biological imperative to procreate in a manner that is just to all and without recourse (intentional or inadvertent) to the time-tested methods of starvation, disease and war is the question.
I am not optimisitic.

Overpopulation
The world isn't so-called "overpopulated" nor becoming so. The more people there are the more resources and wealth there are per capita, because people create resources and wealth, and the more people there are the more opportunities there are for efficient divisions of labor, hence obtaining a more efficient economic system.
In short, the more people there are on Earth, the more wealthy people become per capita (and hence, the more wealth there is in the world in total). Thus, the rational thing to do is to eagerly welcome increasing world populations, since it makes people per capita better off.

The originator of the peak oil theory, Marion King Hubbert, was a geophysicist for Royal Dutch Shell (at the time owned in large part by Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands, now owned in large part by his daughter, Queen Beatrix) at a research lab in Houston, Texas.
