New site in Spanish

Hi from North of Spain
I've been working for a couple of weeks in a new Spanish website about 911 called "11 de septiembre de 2001 - Más allá de la traición"
http://www.11-septiembre-2001.biz/ or http://www.11-septiembre-2001.biz/inicio.html
My main purpose is to inform and at the same time to be a link between English and Spanish speaker communities. I think that there's a lot of work to do in Spain and Latin America.

911truth Movement is unstoppable

Best wishes

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Hola Martin and congratulations on your new site.
It looks great and I know it will grow, just like our movement.
Yes there is much to accomplish in the spanish-speaking world, as there is world-wide.
I want to thanks you for committing to the time and expense it takes to get the word out.. Although I speak very little Spanish, I hope you will keep us informed on the development of the site.
One step at a time, mi amigo.

Zonk

Thank you

Thank you very much Zonk and Dave Mann

It’s encouraging feeling that my task will be useful.
Let me know if there’s something the website lacks so that I fill the gaps as soon as possible.

Best wishes

looks outstanding !

Martin - Haven't had the opportunity yet to spend time at your site (traveling to NYC) but what I've seen looks great. I am based in Mexico and it will be very useful to me - I am always looking for articles in spanish for distribution to freinds and associates. Well, I will be anxiously studying everything you put up. Long live internationalism.

***********
For a long time I've thought that it wouldn't be difiicult to make a Spanish sound version of "911 Mysteries" because so much of it is the off-screen narrator's voice, which wouldn't have to be synched very exactly, because you don't see her lips. Since there is already a good subtitled version, all one would have to do is have a good Spanish reader read that part and get rid of the subtitles there. For the few parts where other people speak, just leave in the subtitles.

The only thing needed is a good Spanish voice and a little work, and one of the best films about 911 would have a greatly increased audience.

Más películas en español

Hello Fred!

Maybe it's possible to make an attempt. I know that there's some software that can change your voice into a female one. I promise nothing but we'll see...

If I do it , I'll send you a sample.

Best wishes

I think it maybe doesn't matter if the "voice" is male or female

Hey, Martin -

But the neat thing about having a film with good subtitles, and by good, I mean I think the subtitled "911 Mysteries" is an almost word for word translation, is that you've got it all there in "real time." The subtitles are appearing on the screen at just the right time. So a person with proper Spanish could just read them into a recorder as he/she sees them, and they will be timed right for the film. I'd try it except my Spanish is poor (relative to what's needed, anyway.)

After getting the voice, the hardest part would be cutting and pasting, making use of the existing versions, so some parts would have Spanish and no subtitles and other parts would be English with subtitles. I'm afraid I don't know much about using those softwares, either. I know how to download films, change them into other kinds of files, organize them into DVD menus, and burn them. But I haven't worked much with individual films. But I've seen things that people have done who are very much amateurs in terms of time they've spent doing it, but they can still splice things to fit very exactly in time, like synching animations to a musical beat, etc. So I think it's not too dificult.

There is probably software where you put the two films (one, with Spanish voice in the narrator sections, the other, Spanish subtitled) into two "story lines" in parallel and choose one or the other as is appropriate. Kind of like switching from "camera one" to "camera two." But I don't know how to do it.

Maybe if you make the soundtrack, I would learn. I seem to be able to get my hands on most software that I need with bittorrent. Maybe someone has suggestions.

It's more difficult than I thought

Hello Fred
I’ve made an attempt.
Firstly, I’ve tried to change my voice into a female’s one, it was a failure as it sounded like a Martian female’s voice.
And secondly, just trying to add my voice it would be harder than I thought. For 15 seconds of record I’ve spent several minutes with little success.
Well, I have to say that the work done by the people or the person who has subtitled the video has been GREAT. It’s understandable, although it’s got some grammatical inaccuracies related to words such as proveído (provisto is the correct one), eventually is not translated into Spanish as eventualmente but “finalmente” or “al final”, report is not reportaje but “informe”. Thinking carefully about it, maybe that as I understand a little English I find out the right meaning of the words. I am going to make a revision in case there’s something more incorrect than I’ve thought, in that case after making it I’ll make a report about it.
Actually, a very hard job has been done and I am grateful for it to this person or these people.
I’m going to promote this video and “Confronting the evidence” from my website. At the moment, I think it’s the best thing I can do. I hope I don´t let you down.

Thank you

No, no, don't feel bad. I

No, no, don't feel bad. I know when I tried to do it for an experiment, it was dificult to speak quickly enough and still sound calm and normal. Professionals must have a lot of practice with rapid, clear delivery. And, if you make a little mistake, you don't know whether to start over again, or what.

Still, it seems like it should be possible; maybe it just needs someone, like an actor, who has a lot of experience with "delivery." But I'm glad you tried, and thanks for your site, by the way.

I didn't know about the inaccuracies in translation, but, you know, people who watch it would probably be forgiving, as long as it was not too bad. Also, I don't think it would need to be a female voice, although that would be a nice compatibility with the original.

When I was in Guatemala for a week, going to language school, I ended up making a site in Spanish to pass on to my teachers, who had to listen, as part of their job, to all my rants about 911 and other politics. You can see it at http://oncesep.zapto.org/ . The address is a convenience link to a Google web page, because that was something I could do from an internet cafe without any webpage software. I think the links in it are still valid. Forgive my bad Spanish. (If you want to tell me corrections or anything, please do.)

Thanks. I've visited your web site

Thank you very much Fred

Taking a look at your interesting web site I've realized that I had missed the Spanish subtitles in several videos when I watched them. And by the way, you gave me a very good idea, that is, to have the subtitles available in my website.
You have done a great job informing and putting the links to the google videos.
May I add a link to your website?
Actually, the site is perfectly understandable for a Spanish speaker. I'll send you a couple of corrections although I consider that the content is the important and that it is accurate.

Greetings

Thx, I'll keep on working.
.I've been to Andalucia but haven't visited Malaga yet., as I live at the other side of the country.
I'm almost sure that you drank too much wine, because that is something of excellent quality we have in the country. Next time, try the "paella" and Basque cuisine :-)

Bye

Are you the manager of that website?
