This "Seven CIA Veterans Challenge 9/11 Commission Report" Op-ed news article is a lightning rod for truth and we should use it to our advantage. Too often real gems like this pass us over in the fast-moving slipstream of 9/11 blogger and elsewhere and we don't use them effectively.

This is a door-opener for getting the attention of officials at all levels of government, as well as ordinary citizens. First, we should print and then copy this article to distribute. This is perfect to fax and snail-mail to Congress along with a personal letter which includes the latest Zogby poll.

Ray McGovern is a real credit to the movement!

Maybe he doesn't know much about the movement? I see a lot of people personally questioning the official accounts, but still many don't know much about 9/11 truth movement. Still the majority have the MSM as their major source of information. Apparently his focus is on war and mid-east affairs, so he still has way to go to explore the conspiracy facts.

I hear a lot of people lumping in weapon sales with oil as a basis for 911.

I have been involved in military work as an engineer and can say that additional contracts did not occur in most cases until problems came up in the field that were not anticipated. So these sales would not have been anticipated on Sept. 11, 2001.

The vast majority of extra money being spent in Iraq and Afghanistan is going to companies like Halliburton, which is an oil services company. This type of thing would have been anticipated and was the reason for up front no bid contracts to select companies like Halliburton.

The amount of additional contracts coming out of the wars for the defense industry is miniscule compared to what is in it for the oil companies. After the cold war ended the defense industry was shrunk to about half of its former size with a large amount of consolidation occurring and large layoffs.

Entities owned by the Carlyle Group may be an exception to this as they seem to own just the right companies for profiting off of any war.

For the most part though it is the oil companies who are the only ones we really see where there is never a profit slump and in fact where their profits always keep climbing. They have used the Anti-Trust laws for toilet paper since the early 1970's and seem to make their decisions in unison.
