Oh well.

It's important to note it doesn't matter how accurate or inaccurate the info is--it's an attack because the person attacking :

1: believes this info to be true, and
2: is intentionally using it in an attempt to intimidate

Otherwise, they wouldn't do it.

No explanation required. And yet... :)

The necessity for such an uncompromising position on this has been well conveyed many times here by many thoughtful and concerned participants. And many of the most thoughtful of us may have lost out temper before and said things in a way that we later regretted. We don't need to feel like this is pointing the finger at anyone. Its just a strong reminder of something that we should all be able to agree upon.

Don't post personal information. First, just call people what they call themselves on the forum. I know some of the people who post here personally, and yet would never think to refer to them by their names on a public forum in which they have chosen a handle. Don't post people's e-mail addresses, phone numbers, or addresses.

No name calling. Don't use colorful metaphors to describe others. Don't use over-generalizing terms to describe others. Critique words and actions in a reasonable manner. That can certainly be with great urgency, and this place would be no fun without a bit of snotty humor here and there. But no logical argument is advanced by making derogatory remarks about those who are disagreeing with you.

No attacks. That's a bit broad, but we should all be able to understand why this was stated. 911blogger is a resource that is utilized by a diverse group of people who participate in the movement. That necessarily results in people posting here with very different views. And that creates an environment in which frustrated exchange is more likely. And so, in such a diverse and divergent environment we must all be committed to a discourse free of personally directed anger. We are all here because we have something concerning all of us far more important than any one of us.

We have some pretty sincere disagreements in here. And in some cases we should be able to agree to disagree, as this venue is not an ideological territory to be won by one side or another. We could all certainly do a better job at keeping in mind the many things we do have in common. Once again, consider the implications of maintaining diversity.

Just my take on it. Be logical, adaptive, and civil.

International Truth Movement

You've posted a very good collection of guidelines for

..a well moderated forum. ;-)

In the past trollish sorts have been able to take advantage of a common mistake open minded sorts make in moderating: wanting to bend over backwards to show their fair mindedness and respect of free speech. This will ALWAYS be ruthlessly exploited by those who only intent is to disrupt, for whatever reason.

These same fair minded sorts also expect people to be saints and ignore trollish behavior above and beyond the call of duty. Supposedly, by ignoring it it goes away. A quick check at GW thread about attacking activists is exhibit A on why that doesn't work. Look at the amount of posts by an individual not getting a response, but they keep at it. I'm finding this rather instructive--this is the difference between someone being disruptive due to their "issues" and someone who has an agenda. In the first case, ignoring them WILL make them go away--not so in the second case. In the second case, not only will it NOT make them go away, but their continued antics WILL discourage people from posting who might otherwise have.

Expecting us to behave ourselves and not lash out is a reasonable request, provided it is complemented by swift moderator intervention when problems do arise. It is unreasonable to expect people to be attacked ad nausim and not respond.

I'll close by thanking the mods at 911Blogger for updating comment guidelines to reflect the needs of our times. ;-)

Theories that

contradict the facts and laws of science and which are easily disprovable DO support the official story -- because they make those who question the official story look foolish.

who have criticized the government's story about which theories they think are possible given the evidence and which they think are contradicted by the evidence.

What do you think they would say?

Show ""good-guy scientists" how would you determine that?" by KT

Mr. KT,

by good guys, I mean scientists, engineers or architects who have already put their derriere on the line by criticizing the official story.

When you say "And, pushing a theory that may be wrong is not "disinformation" unless you KNOW it is wrong and you still push it. If it's wrong but you don't know/think it is, then one is only pushing misinformation."

Mr. Fetzer wrote a paper arguing this also. A prominent Oxford professor of Mr. Fetzer's same discipline cried foul, and said this argument will tend to encourage and spread disinformation.

Anyway, misinformation can be as dangerous and harmful to truth and justice as disinformation -- it is largely a distinction without a difference.

I'm not a mod, so don't ask me about what theories are what.

Scientists etc. can be contacted to verify their poll, if need be?

than we are of the official lies.

If you guys who are playing

If you guys who are playing the victim in this thread and consistently getting modded down have any objections to actions that the admins have already taken, why don't you post any examples? Are you just playing devil's advocate? Or do you just like being disagreeable? How have you been wronged? Why do you think any of this is even directed at you?

It seems clear to me that if you have the kind of first-hand evidence that CIT does at the Pentagon, or Steven Jones does at the WTC, your theories should stand on their own with their evidence, and you should have no objections from posting them here. If they're just abstract theorizing and fantasizing that intimidates and scares away new members that don't want to lose grasp of reality along with you, or be involved in any of that, you probably will have objections. You'll be modded down, voted down, you'll get people disagreeing with you, and if you're that much of a distraction, it appears the mods will now take action. I don't have any problem with that. We don't have all the time in the world for this stuff. We need direction. We need action, and therefore we need actionable evidence.

May I suggest that if you have any real objections to anything that 911blogger has done to you, if you feel you can't post your objections here, post them on one of the related discussion forums. You know where they are. A bit of a disclaimer: they probably won't be well received there either, but if you actually had any problems with the way things work here that were legitimate, that would be the appropriate course of action. You're not going to accomplish much by just constantly arguing with the admins here, when those same admins are supposedly "censoring" you here. I still see all your modded-down posts in this thread, do you? This constant bickering is a complete waste of time.

I wouldn't go that far, (at least not yet), but I do wish that Alex Jones would quit propping himself up as the lead spokesperson for our movement. That, and his histrionics can be a bit embarassing at times. One of the primary reasons some progressives refuse to entertain the notion of 9/11 truth IS due to Alex Jones, which admittedly, is quite stupid on their part as he does not represent every member of the 9/11 truth and justice movement. But I've seen this kind of voluntary ignorance all over Indymedia and certain "anarchist" sites. When they think of "9/11 truth", automatically "Alex Jones" comes to mind. That's not cool since our movement needs no single leader.

Alex Jones is part of the New World Order

- nick9/11

Alex Jones is part of the New World Order. Period. This doesn't mean that he doesn't tell the truth, it just means that his true motives are not true at all.

If that is a personal attack then I guess I am banned. So much for free speech. Good luck America. May God be with us all.

But can you prove it??

Firstly, can you PROVE who the "New World Order" is?
Is it a group of people or an ideology?
If it is an ideology, what makes a person a "part of it"?
If it is a group, can you list names, or do you just have suspects?
If you have suspects, does that make them guilty, or just on your "list" of usual perps?
If you can PROVE that this group exists(like Alex says), is Alex on a list, or is HE a simple suspect?
Does suspicion equal guilt?

For instance, I have a neighbor that I suspect is a child molester. He exhibits all the usual patterns one would exhibit. Should I make a citizens arrest based on my suspicion?

So if you have any information that someone is a shill, disinfo, agent, provocateur, spook, etc. I suggest you PROVE it before speaking or typing anymore about it.

We seem to also have a number of knuckleheads in this "movement" which scream out accusations with bullhorns that someone is a murderer without any proof also. Is this what "we" are? I guess the movement forgets the Rule of Law too and all that silly jazz about "innocent before proven guilty". Seems to be common in some 9/11 groups. I don't think I'm part of the same "movement" they are. And if they were, the seat next to me at any public event would be "taken".

He was leading a bunch of fools around with a bull horn.

Who is the NWO? Just to a search for Bush Sr. and NWO and you will find the answer coming directly from his lips, not mine. If you want to know why Alex Jones is not who he says he is then listen to a TRUE patriot, William Cooper It wasn’t until I heard him speak until I fully understood what Alex's role in all of this is. The people here at this site are here to find the truth, but you MUST be very careful to only put your efforts and energy into following the truth. If this movement and their so called leaders would just deal in facts instead of speculation, we wouldn't be the laughing stock of the US right now. Case in point, yesterday I was a a Boarders book store and I saw a book about 9/11, the problem is it was sitting in the same section with the books on UFO's. That is how this movement is seen, as a bunch of idiots that believe in a fairy tale. It doesn’t matter if there is a part to the fairytale that is true because the path that this movement has been led down has turned it into a joke, a circus. Tell me I am wrong, tell me how things went this last September 11th. This movement had 0 visibility. 0 The year before this wasn't the case. And where was our fearless leader on that day? He was leading a bunch of fools around with a bull horn.

Know this, we go to war with Iran and you might as well shut this site down, because at that point it wont matter anymore, sad but true.

Citizen Pawn,

while you make some valid points, your words are HIGHLY divisive and not conducive to building alliances which is exactly what our movement so desperately needs. Please tone down the rhetoric and stick to what needs to get done.

Funny you call me divisive Truthnow

I have, to my knowledge not ONCE accused anyone in 6 years of being "disinfo" or "shill" or whatever pet name applies. I've entertained notions of it once or twice, but never flat out accused anyone of it. To be honest with you, I think this whole "movement" is loaded with people so bored or paranoid that they just sit around all day from the safety of their computers and point fingers at each other. Everyone does it, and I have seen very few that are exempt from it.

If it were up to me, all sides would come together and have an honest scientific based, factual, non biased discussion about the points they AGREE on.

An Alex Jones would be at the table with a Nico Haupt. A Tarpley at the table with those he has accused. Hell this might shock you, but even a Mark Roberts at the table with a David Ray Griffin or a Kevin Ryan. And no that isn't a "Big Tent" scenario. That is in the interest of TRUTH, that word that we wear as a badge daily.

But I gave up on that hope a long time ago, because I realize that in an Internet based world, Truth escapes and accusations of misdeeds fly like there's no tomorrow. And they come from the mouths of EVERYONE, no matter what camp or ideology within the "movement".

So you think I'm divisive and should "tone it down"? Hilarious.

Bill Clinton Speech

Bill Clinton Speech Interrupted By 9/11 Truthers

Clinton's 50-minute speech, which started about an hour behind schedule, was derailed briefly by several hecklers in the audience who shouted that the 2001 terrorist attacks were a fraud. Rather than ignoring them, Clinton seemed to relish a direct confrontation.

"A fraud? No, it wasn't a fraud," Clinton said, as the crowd cheered him on. "I'll be glad to talk to you if you shut up and let me talk."

When another heckler shouted that the attacks were an "inside job," Clinton took even greater umbrage.

"An inside job? How dare you. How dare you. It was not an inside job," Clinton said. "You guys have got to be careful, you're going to give Minnesota a bad reputation."
