Rally for Fallen 9/11 First Responder James Zadroga - NYC - City Hall

9/11 First Responders, Victims' Family members, and 9/11 Truth Activists united outside of City Hall to demand respect for the 9/11 First Responders given Mayor Michael Bloomberg's recent comments regarding James Zadroga and false accusations about substance abuse, which Bloomberg later admitted to as being false and now has apologized to Joseph Zadroga (father of James Zadroga).

Bloomberg Apologized for the "Not a Hero" Comment But

Did not take back the claim of IV drug abuse:

Again, I am not taking sides on this issue. I hope Zadroga did not die as a direct result of his work on the pile, but only because I don't want to see a lot of the rescuers getting sick and dying.

Bloomberg was wrong to say that Zadroga was not a hero, and I'm glad he's retracted that. Let's allow the medical (and, sigh, legal) professionals sort this out.
