Messages From Bin Laden Since 9-11

Associated Press tabulation of messages supposedly from Bin Laden, since 9/11. Please write to them; they forgot the first 2, very important messages from Bin Laden after 9/11, where he denies responsibility; in the Sept 28 message, he points the finger at US intelligence agencies

Who was behind 9/11? – an interview with Osama Bin Laden By The Daily Ummat of Karachi Sept. 28, 2001
"Whoever committed the act of September 11 are not the friends of the American people. I have already said that we are against the American system, not against its people, whereas in these attacks, common American people have been killed. According to my information, the death toll is much higher than what the US Government has stated. But the Bush administration does not want the panic to spread. The United States should try to trace the perpetrators of these attacks within itself; the people who are a part of the US system but are dissenting against it. Or those who are working for some other system; persons who want to make the present century as a century of conflict between Islam and Christianity so that their own civilization, nation, country, or ideology can survive. They may be anyone, from Russia to Israel and from India to Serbia. In the US itself, there are dozens of well-organized and well-equipped groups capable of causing large-scale destruction. Then you cannot forget the American Jews, who have been annoyed with President Bush ever since the Florida elections and who want to avenge him.

Then there are intelligence agencies in the US, which require billions of dollars worth of funds from Congress and the government every year. This [funding issue] was not a big problem until the existence of the ex-Soviet Union but after that the budget of these agencies has been in danger. They needed an enemy. So, they first started propaganda against Osama and the Talibans and then this incident happened. You see, the Bush Administration approved a budget of 40 billion dollars. Where will this huge amount go? It will be provided to the same agencies which need huge funds and want to exert their importance. Now they will spend the money for their expansion and to increase their importance. I will give you an example. Drug smugglers from all over the world are in contact with the US secret agencies. These agencies do not want to eradicate narcotics cultivation and trafficking because their importance would be diminished. The people in the US Drug Enforcement Department are encouraging drug trade in order to show performance and get millions of dollars worth of budget. General Noriega was made a drug baron by the CIA and, in need, he was made a scapegoat. In the same way, whether it is President Bush or any other US President, they cannot bring Israel to justice for its human rights abuses or to hold it accountable for such crimes. What is this? Is it not that there exists a government within the government in the United Sates? That secret government must be asked who carried out the

"Bin Laden says he wasn't behind attacks"- CNN Sept. 16, 2001"
"In a statement issued to the Arabic satellite channel Al Jazeera, based in Qatar, bin Laden said, "The U.S. government has consistently blamed me for being behind every occasion its enemies attack it.

"I would like to assure the world that I did not plan the recent attacks, which seems to have been planned by people for personal reasons," bin Laden's statement said.

"I have been living in the Islamic emirate of Afghanistan and following its leaders' rules. The current leader does not allow me to exercise such operations," bin Laden said."

motive for lying

"The current leader [of Afghanistan, where bin Laden was living] does not allow me to exercise such operations," bin Laden said."

Plausible deniability is not confined to the white house, you know.

One of Bin Ladin's claims above is contradicted by his own Fatwa from 1998, and he had several years to issue a statement denying it.

2001, OBL: "I have already said that we are against the American system, not against its people, whereas in these attacks, common American people have been killed."

1998, OBL: "The ruling to kill the Americans and their allies -- civilians and military -- is an individual duty for every Muslim who can do it in any country in which it is possible to do it, in order to liberate the al-Aqsa Mosque and the holy mosque [Mecca] from their grip, and in order for their armies to move out of all the lands of Islam, defeated and unable to threaten any Muslim. "--(emphasis added) Osama bin Ladin, Jihad Against Jews and Crusaders
World Islamic Front Statement, 23 February 1998

I would also implore you to look at this article, clarifying that "fatty" bin Ladin looks a lot like the regular bin Ladin when the correct video aspect ratio is applied:

Taking the fat out of the fat bin Laden confession video

This is not a simple black and white case, although it is often presented as such.

70 Disturbing Facts About 9/11

I didn't say i believed bin Laden; i was correcting the record- in my email to AP posted below (i also sent the links and text i posted here first), you can see i linked to a couple of the Muckraker Report articles. I don't claim to know that Osseirian and Haas have proven it was a sting operation, though their analysis makes a lot of sense, and it being proven wrong is not as problematic for the truth movement as it will be if the "fat" bin Laden tape is conclusively proven wrong, which they may have in fact done. Certainly, the inability of the government to account for the tape is grounds for not accepting the official 9/11 story on its face. And another argument for being skeptical of claims of a "fat" bin Laden imposter is that Jim Fetzer heavily endorses that claim. And i hope that Haas, whose NIST request for correction reads legit, unlike the Woods/Reynolds bogus requests, was just taken in by them. I wrote to him asking about it, he insists his request stands on its own merits, and the discrediting by association factor is not something NIST can use to avoid responding appropriately.

I don't need to explain what happened on 9/11, though i have theories. None of us has enough info yet to know what really happened, which is one of the big problems with the official story; it paints a picture while ignoring a lot of very relevant facts and it contradicts the public record on many crucial points. It is very obvious the whole, relevant truth has not been told, and i'd say the 9/11 Commission and it's Report are very strong evidence that there was a massive coverup of truth, which is absolutely unacceptable in a democratic Republic. Also, while I try not to endorse theories, i believe it's very obvious 9/11 didn't succeed without inside help, and the incompetence defense doesn't cut it, when standard procedures for air defense, VISA approval, watchlisting terrorists, etc. are being foiled by decision makers, and there's insider trading going on around the world, that the Commission states just is a coincidence, without naming the investors. Etc. Personally, while advocating for a full and very public investigation, or Truth and Reconciliation Commission, I "assume" bin Laden was involved in 9/11 planning/support, and denied it when he saw the attacks and realized that these attacks weren't entirely his plan, that he'd been co-opted. He may not have known the extent to which the CIA considered him an asset. He may have thought he had his own moles in the CIA.

Dear Associated Press,

You recently published a list of messages supposedly from Bin Laden;
Messages From Bin Laden Since 9-11

You did not include the first 2 messages from Bin Laden after 9/11;
please issue a correction, or explain why you dispute that these
messages were from Bin Laden. Also, you included the supposed
"confession" tape; are you aware that the FBI doesn't consider this
tape "hard evidence", and the DOJ has not indicted Bin Laden for the
crime of 9/11?

Is bin Laden Responsible for the 9/11 attacks?

CIA letter supports assertion that OBL "confession video" was a sting operation
