But despite these hopeful signs, the Soviet-style abuse of psychiatry continues as yet another American dissident and 9/11 truth supporter has been incarcerated because he thinks 9/11 was an inside job.

The bad news is that this year's first 9/11 truth political prisoner is Carl Malaskiewicz-Blaise. I just got a call from Ken Fernandez, who says Carl is being held in psychiatric lock-up because, according to the Secret Service-linked psychiatrist, Carl's religious and political worldview is psychotic: He's a devout Christian, and he thinks 9/11 was an inside job.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
U.S. citizen - practicing Christian – held in Immigration Canada’s detention centre in Laval since May 2007. U.S. gov’t claims to believe that caricatures and satirical writings of Bush (tinged with Biblical references) constitute a threat to the U.S. President’s life. U.S. Federal gov’t fused case with legally closed, state-level charges, urges Canada to deport him. U.S. Government engaged in Soviet-style practices including use of psychiatrist with known links to the Secret Service and senior-most U.S. government officials to foist incarceration and drug cocktail - political and religious positions deemed psychosis.
Montreal – In a legal process tainted by politics, Carl Malaskiewicz-Blaise, a devout practicing Christian from the U.S. whose initial, state-level charges were already dismissed in the U.S on three separate occasions, and closed under U.S. law after the third time, has, contrary to U.S. law, had them re-instated under federal auspices by U.S authorities, after he circulated his caricatures and satirical writings about President Bush over the internet and at public places such as shopping centres in the Washington D.C. area. After a lengthy series of interrogations by the Secret Service, U.S. attorneys, including Paul McNulty (who ended up serving as Deputy A.G. of the U.S. under Bush protégé Alberto Gonzales), applied pressure and intimidation in having Blaise sign a plea agreement, in which the previously dismissed, state-level charges, were somehow fused with the federal-level charge of “Endangering the Life of the President and persons protected by the Secret Service.” This pressure was followed by a Soviet-style set-up in which Secret Service-connected psychiatrist, Robert Philips, had had Blaise confined to a mental hospital, from which he was not released after even its doctors had to admit his normalcy.
In their pre-sentence report, U.S. Federal authorities resorted to filing patently false evidence whcih they allege came from Dawn Jackson, a known liar with whom Blaise had been entangled in the late 1990’s, and whose list of crimes include: The use of false identites to avoid arrest & prosecution; drug possession; evidence tampering. His lawyer’s inexplicable failure to challenge the “proof” presented by the U.S.’ “witness” resulted in his having been sentenced, despite the documentary evidence proving that the statments which they allege she made in Blaise’s regard, is a tissue of lies.
Among these are that Blaise drove a U-Haul truck into her house, stabbed her with a hyperdermic needle, poisoned her, and put a gun to her head, and that he was seen breaking into her home, and, in that particular instance, she fired a gun at him, but the bullet hit her instead. “All of this was refuted by letters from Sherriffs and police departments that would have been involved in the case, yet my lawyer not only failed to challenge the government’s lies, but urged me to sign the government’s plea agreement. He also said that the time I already served would probably be applied to any sentence handed down. So, the Court accepted the government’s line, and my appeals on the grounds of ineffective legal counsel was rejected, as was my civil suit against the [U.S.] Government.” Blaise added, “5 years of attempts to rectify my record have been a total waste of time! I was sentenced to 12 months for intimidating the president, and three years of supervised probation, and what is more, the time I had already served, is not even being taken into account. According to the Bureau of Prisons, I am owed 300 days, so I do not have to serve time legally at all! In fact, the U.S. owes me”
Noting that his Soviet-style ordeal has followed him to Canada, where in the absence of his lawyer, or prior notice, psychiatrists interviewed him at the Detention Centre to enquire as to his religious beliefs, Blaise, who came to Canada while on probation said, “I hope to live under the rule of law. I no longer want to live in a country where the president jokes about being dictator, mocks a mentally handicapped victim of his death-row assembly line, and where he and cronies lie, cheat, kill, and hide behind the law when they are exposed!”

None of us are off the hook
Just my opinion, but rather than saying that 5% (of 100%) of humans are disposed to be psychopaths, I would posit that 100% of humans are 5% disposed - for one reason or other - to exhibit psychopathology.
That means that none of us are off the hook.

zmzmzm, you misinterpreted Kevin's point. What you "posit" is not supported by established scientific study of psychopathy. Between 1 and 5% of the human population are "psychopaths". This is merely one form of the larger category of "psychopathology", and it is a very specific clinical disorder characterized by extreme callousness and manipulativeness. The disorder is 80% heritable, unlike anti-social tendencies, which are only around 30% heritable. This means that one is BORN with psychopathy, the only variation being the effect of environment on how it is expressed (for example, if a psychopath becomes a drunken criminal or a corporate crook). Either you are a psychopath or you are not. I'd recommend you do some reading on the subject, particularly Robert Hare's book Without Conscience, followed by James Blair's more difficult Psychopath: Emotion and the Brain. It's a vastly important subject, and is at the root of the 9/11 "conspiracy".
How many psychopaths are born daily?
The world human population currently increases by over 200,000 every day. If 3% of them (us) are hereditary psychopaths, then the world is adding about 6000 psychopaths per day or well over 2 million psychopaths per year.
If this is true, we are in deep doo doo. How can the human race hope to survive this in the face of increasing power of weaponry and increasing number of psychopaths?

Psychopaths are only successful when the people they exploit are unaware of their true nature. In his book Political Ponerology, which Kevin quotes in his latest article, Andrew Lobaczewski suggests that the only way to limit the influence of psychopaths is first of all a vast public awareness campaign of the nature of psychopathy, and the "tricks" they use to manipulate normal people. Also, once the science is more well known, we must identify psychopaths early and track their activity. He doesn't mean some Orwellian system of surveillance, merely to identify "problem children" with clear callous and anti-social tendencies and to treat them ethically, yet at the same time preventing them from acquiring positions of power (you wouldn't let a blind person be in charge of monitoring security cameras, the same as we shouldn't let amoral psychopaths control world affairs).
5% disposed
I partly agree with the above comment.
Somewhere between 1% and 5% of males (and far fewer females) test out as hardcore psychopaths according to those who study this phenomenon. An organic origin is strongly suspected, with heredity one factor, and environment (specifically, certain kinds of brain damage, not just social experience) another. Note that psychopaths are not necessarily killers, nor even bad actors--they simply lack any moral or empathetic sense, which in some but not all individuals and situations leads to bad actions.
The tiny percentage of psychopaths who are unusually power-seeking and/or sadistic are the really dangerous ones--they're the ones who give psychopaths a bad name ; )
The 95% or more of the population who are not organic psychopaths are in varying degrees susceptible to psychopathic "contagion" -- which is social, not organic. Some of these folks are more than 5% disposed, others less. Sometimes the contagion engulfs whole nations, as with Stalin's Russia, Hitler's Germany, Israel (whose population has been terrified into psychopathic contagion by the Holocaust and other perceived existential threats) and Bush & Cheney's USA.
A good place to start researching this is Lobaczewski's book Political Ponerology.
Not only are U.S. citizens being held as political prisoners in
mental institutions, but we must also remember those foreigners imprisoned in Guantanamo--virtually a high-tech concentration camp!
It has been reported that most of those in Guantanamo are innocent people, including mere goat herders, who were railroaded for big rewards being paid out by the U.S.
Peaceful and Wrathful Dieties
According to my admittedly scanty 'knowledge' of Tibetan Buddhism, both the Peaceful and Wrathful Dieties reside in everyone's brain. This means that Mother Theresa's brain and Mahatma Ghandhi's brain and David Ray Griffin's brain (to name a few famous brains - along with yours, mine, Dick Cheney's and George Bush's - host/hosted BOTH the Peaceful and Wrathful Dieties.
My point is that we want to be very careful not to set up a duality of psychopaths vs. non-psychopaths.
Now to jump to the Mediterranian: Ares (Mars) - the God of War - "lives on Mount Olympus" and doesn't seem to feel like moving anytime soon. "Mount Olympus" can be thought of as metaphorical for the human psyche.
Perhaps it may be better to focus on psychopathologies - rather than psychopaths. The Wrathful Dieties (War Gods) live within us all. I believe "they" want to be acknowledged for who they are. Then they won't have to "show" us who they are by exhibiting their powers (going on bloody rampages).
I hope this isn't too far out for this blog. I did enjoy your article Dr. Barrett, and learned alot from it. I also found it inspiring and will share it with my friends.
I hope no one will embarrass me by pointing out that I know nothing about Tibetan Buddhism, and have no business speaking for it. I admit that upfront. I am just "winging it" off the top of my head. I was also aware of the controversy surrounding such events such as the Oklahoma City bombing and the sinking of the Lusitania which the Germans had warned about in US Newspapers days before they sunk the Lusitania.
Also, when I was growing up I had an interest in secular history as well as eschatology - they study of the endtimes.
I started to study the Bible and other Holy Books at an early age, I came to believe that America was the deceptive beast of revelation 13 verse 12. I am explaining all this to you because this will help the reader to understand my religious and political news. Alot of my writings, drawings, etc. were centered around my religious/beliefs that America is a part of Bible prophecy.
In 1999 and 2000 after America is apart of Bible prophecy and in connection to my views, I made at least 20 drawings about WWIII, The US, and the endtimes which is contrary to mainstream protestant belief in media and views and majority.
