The 9/11 Truth Movement is based on the simple premise that America has survived the test of history, and derived its highest form of patriotism, by means of every American citizen’s absolute and unassailable entitlement to freedom of speech. But with that freedom comes responsibility. As overseers and caretakers of a nation great and mighty, predicated on the concept of freedom and democracy, it has become our sacred responsibility to be ever-vigilant and watchful of our government. It has become our responsibility to continually petition our government for answers.

Let there be no mistake. Those who demand accountability from those who are charged with leading us, exercise the highest form of patriotism that the founding fathers of this nation could envision and frame in a document. Demanding answers and transparency in government is not just our right – it is our sacred responsibility as citizens.

As citizens of this great nation we are each imbued with the responsibilities instilled in us by the framers of the Constitution who envisioned a nation state created by and for the people – empowered by the people – at the behest of the people – and for the ultimate good of all people.

And for those among us who demand blind allegiance to our president, and quiet subservience to our government, we remind them of all the young and valiant Americans who gave their lives on the battlefields of Europe and the South Pacific to preserve our freedoms, and prevent fascism from gaining a toe-hold on our shores.

We are Americans, and we do not surrender our freedoms easily. We do not surrender our freedoms to fear. We do not surrender our freedoms to the mouthpieces of propaganda and false patriots who seek to silence us. We protect our freedoms by exercising them. We protect our freedoms by demanding answers. Americans pressed for the truth by storming the beaches of Normany and Omaha and Iwo Jima. But, the fight for our freedom is not a fight that begins nor ends with any one battle or war. We fight for Truth and freedom whenever and wherever we may find it threatened – either home or abroad – from enemies foreign or domestic.

As Americans we understand that truth is the very foundation of our freedom. As Americans we demand integrity from our leaders. As Americans we demand a full and unadulterated telling of our history – be it good or bad or ugly – simply because we have found that our search for Truth is the only perfection that we, as imperfect men, are capable of possessing and aspiring to. As Americans we know that it is only the Truth that is capable of setting us free.

We demand the truth behind 9/11 because we love this nation, and we see that so many of the facts that have been provided to us by our government and the 9/11 Commission are simply not true. As Americans this is unacceptable. As Americans we can settle for nothing less than the whole truth. It is only in this way we can honor our dead and secure our future.

As 911 Truth activists we know that it is not our job to provide that truth ourselves. We are not conspiracy theorists as the mainstream media, derelict in their duties, seem so quick to imply. We are simply concerned citizens carrying the burden of responsibility that comes with being participants in this experiment we call America and democracy.
