University of North Texas Students To Walk Out Against War

Add this to the list of activist events coming soon: In Denton, Texas, students at the University of North Texas will demonstrate their solidarity in support of peace by walking out of their classes at 9:11 AM on Monday, and holding a rally in front of the Union building. The on-campus walkout is an important part of the students’ strategy, because they’re not just protesting the continued military occupation of Iraq, but are organizing to counter military recruitment efforts at the University of North Texas as well.
