"Guess who is the world's newest financier of terrorism? SWITZERLAND" read the banner of the Jewish group's full-page advertisement that appeared in the International Herald Tribune, the leading Swiss financial daily Neue Zuercher Zeitung and Geneva daily Le Temps Tuesday.
The ad also displays the complaint lodged by Israel against Switzerland over the gas deal.
"The reproaches in this advertisement do not correspond to the facts," Swiss Foreign Ministry spokesman Lars Knuchel said Tuesday.
"This business transaction between the EGL and NIGEC is fully in line with the UN sanctions against Iran as well as with the US Iranian Sanctions Act," Knuchel added.
The White House and its number one ally, Israel, accuse Iran of being 'the world's leading state sponsor of terror' and claim the gas deal undermines 'international efforts' to isolate Tehran.
