V.P. Cheney whisked away by S.S. on 9/11?
In the TV series, "Cities of the Underworld", episode "Washington, D.C.: Seat of Power", 2008, at about 8 minutes into the show, the host mentions, "In the moments after 9/11, Vice President Cheney was literally picked up by Secret Service agents, and carried under the White House through a long tunnel to another top secret bunker."
He doesn't state where he got that information. Since it is somewhat well-known and accepted that that action would probably be the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in such a situation, the host / writers could be voicing what one would assume. Or perhaps they were actually told that by someone.
I had never heard that story told before by anyone, although I assumed that that is what had occurred with Cheney.
And then we have the person being interviewed by Alex Jones who says that some female Cabinet Member told him that when the second plane hit the second tower, her Secret Service detail "almost literally picked her up and carried her to an undisclosed location". (link? I think it has been mentioned and documented on 9/11 Blogger before)
We know that Bush sat in the school room in Florida for several minutes after he was supposedly told that, "A second plane has hit the second tower of the World Trade Center and America is at war," (by Andrew Card?) and then stayed on the premises for around half an hour after that before leaving.
Which boggles the mind of anyone with even a modicum of common sense and real-world knowledge of "the way things work".
This is potentially more evidence of the "smoking gun" that someone knew Bush wasn't really in jeopardy, otherwise they would not have acted as they did.
In fact, a little investigative journalism should yield stories like the above from every single higher level government employee. (yes, they are ALL government employees, even Bush and Cheney)
Except, of course, Bush, whose story is radically different and documented on video.
(we do have the spin stories like "we didn't want to scare the children" and other ridiculous, ludicrous and absurd comments like that, which are stories for children to believe, not critically thinking, logical, intelligent adults, which should always be pointed out to any adults who try to believe them or use them as an excuse or valid alternative story)
A story like this, done well, could smash the American consciousness, and could win the writer a Pulitzer.

Secret Service agents burst into Cheney's West Wing office. "Sir," one said, "we have to leave immediately." Radar showed an airplane barreling toward the White House.
Before Cheney could respond, the agents grabbed the vice president under his arms-nearly lifting him off the ground-and propelled him down the steps into the White House basement and through a long tunnel that led to the underground bunker.
Meanwhile, American Airlines Flight 77, a Boeing 757 that had taken off from Dulles International Airport, turned away from the White House and flew back across the Potomac River, slamming into the Pentagon at 9:39 a.m.
In the tunnel below the White House, Cheney stopped to watch a television showing the smoke billowing out of the World Trade Center towers, heard the report about the plane hitting the Pentagon and called Bush again. Other Secret Service agents hustled Rice and several other senior White House officials included in an emergency contingency plan into the bunker with the vice president.
Transportation Secretary Norman Y. Mineta, summoned by the White House to the bunker, was on an open line to the Federal Aviation Administration operations center, monitoring Flight 77 as it hurtled toward Washington, with radar tracks coming every seven seconds. Reports came that the plane was 50 miles out, 30 miles out, 10 miles out-until word reached the bunker that there had been an explosion at the Pentagon.
Mineta shouted into the phone to Monte Belger at the FAA: "Monte, bring all the planes down." It was an unprecedented order-there were 4,546 airplanes in the air at the time. Belger, the FAA's acting deputy administrator, amended Mineta's directive to take into account the authority vested in airline pilots. "We're bringing them down per pilot discretion," Belger told the secretary.
"[Expletive] pilot discretion," Mineta yelled back. "Get those goddamn planes down."
Sitting at the other end of the table, Cheney snapped his head up, looked squarely at Mineta and nodded in agreement.

There are conflicting accounts as to when this took place. The 9-11 Omission has Cheney arriving at the PEOC about 10.00 but
Norman Mineta testified under oath and stated that Cheney was already in the PEOC when Mineta arrived sometime between 9.20 and 9.30 .

What made you question the government's story of the event's of 9/11 and when did you become active?
As for me: I couldn't sleep one night in late 2003 (I think) and turned on the tv and began channel surfing. I ended up on the local public access station and saw the video of WTC 7 going down, that did it for me and I've been hard at it ever since. I did wonder about NORAD's absence and the Pentagon strike on the day of 9/11/01, but got distracted with children and life and really didn't think about it again until I saw Seven go down.
