The Ultimate Con Trailer Most Popular Of All Time

The trailer that I put out on youtube for The Ultimate Con is getting massive traffic, about 20,000-35,000 views/day. The number of views is up to 5,427,768 and the video is

17th Most Watched Video of ALL TIME in News and Politics. At the rate it is going it will be 16th in 2 days. The trailer has been a great success.

I made the trailer 10 minutes of the hardest hitting 911 truth news coverage to get the maximum effect with little time.

In the past 2 years, Youtube has deleted 3 of my accounts to try and stop the flow of information. Nuffrespect (from the UK) has had the best success with keeping the trailer up without getting his account deleted. Between all the people who uploaded the trailer the views are much closer to 10 million.

The 10 minute trailer alone is enough to warrant a new investigation.

I hope I was able to help some people to open their minds and think about the bigger picture.

I was one guy, working with NO MONEY, a computer/youtube/google and was able to reach 10 million people. If only 10% of them wake up that's a million...and if only 10% of that million actually get off their butts and do something, then that's 100,000...

I have also converted 90% of the 50 people where I work and 100% of my friends...

It shows what one person with an attitude, persistence, and a computer can do to make a difference. It shows that their media wall is NOT impenetrable...It can be subverted.

NOW GO GET UM!

Drop the music

Excellent work LUCUS. I've been trying to compile an encyclopaedia of 9/11 video documents but the task is daunting.

One negative comment which applies to 90% of 9/11 videos (including the Press For Truth team's "In Their Own Words") - PLEASE DROP THE MUSIC. It simply undermines the importance of the documents and obscures their content. Many older viewers (whose hearing may not be perfect anyway) find these videos unmatchable because of the strident soundtracks. "In Their Own Words" is particularly bad because much of the testimony is drowned by an incessant drum beat.

I really don't understand the urge to plaster everything with music. Are the American public so jaded that evidence of the worst crime in American history will not hold their attention unless accompanied by a good beat? Why is everyone aping the techniques of the dumbed-down infotainment that now passes for documentary on mainstream TV?

Yes and no...

Yes, the over-use of music or war drums in the background of activist's videos can be problematic when we're supposed to be reaching out to people with large generational spans, and/or tastes... yet ironically, talking about this very video... the careful use of sound and beat in just the right places... is quite likely a major reason this video is as successful as it has become. No?

Thanks, Lucus.

+ & - on music. William Pepper mentions something important...

There are positive and negative points on music, or visual effects, or scenes. It can be a tough judgement call.

It is a tough call.

Music? or straight Facts?

Here is something for us in the truth movement to make a mental note of:

*****
Logic and Reason and Facts are paramount to truth.
However, it is Inspiration and Emotional Impact which ignites man's spirit.
*****

William Pepper during the summer of 2006 ended his talk with some profound words. He talked about "inspiration". [A case in point of "inspiration" is Martin Luther King, Jr. Other great people were in the movement, but Martin INSPIRED.]

Here are the abridged quotes from Pepper as he ends his address to a 9/11 Truth crowd.

..."It is only the citizen which can raise freedom and liberty in this land."

..."It is you who are the torch-bearers with respect to that truth. And you have to continue to bear that torch and try to get it into the mainstream, and not be discouraged when you don’t…."

"I ask you not to mourn the passing of democracy and of liberty in this country…don’t mourn the passing of democracy – Organize. Organize to restore it wherever it is possible to do so. Steel your spines. INSPIRE your children. Then when the moment is right, rise again as though from the ashes, and rebuild this great land. Thank you." -William Pepper

9/11 TRUTH with INSPIRATION is what will win.
9/11 TRUTH with INSPIRATION is what will win.

Senator Karen Johnson's speech on the floor was an inspiration.

I always find INSPIRATION from this:

Excellent sentiments, Tom .

Excellent sentiments, Tom . . .

William Pepper inspires me.

The meaning of "Satyagraha" inspires me . . . so much that a few months ago I had it tattooed in small letters on my wrist along with an older one "911t".

I look at my wrist a lot. It inspires me. : )

Now I need a good word or symbol for "strength" to add one more tiny tattoo there.

Betsy

PS. This is GREAT:

"I ask you not to mourn the passing of democracy and of liberty in this country…don’t mourn the passing of democracy – Organize. Organize to restore it wherever it is possible to do so. Steel your spines. INSPIRE your children. Then when the moment is right, rise again as though from the ashes, and rebuild this great land. Thank you." -William Pepper

THAT really inspires me. Thanks.

-- Satyagraha -- I had to look up that word...

"Satyagraha" Betsy, I had to look that word up and read up on it.
...wow! what an embodiment of meaning. "the firmness of truth" or "truth force" , but embracing so much!
Thanks for bringing this term up.

SUMMER OF TRUTH.

Re: music

It depends.

You covering some protest or action? That material is basically begging for the MTV treatment to carry it.

But even a documentary can use an inspiration boost--as long as the music is quiet and non intrusive in places one needs to listen to facts.

And again people vary on how accurately they can judge this for a diverse audience. If I was making videos I'd probably not have any music for a doc except at the beginning and end.

This is an excellent video

Thank you for your excellent work LUCUS. I've reposted your comments and film to the front page of www.Cincinnati911Truth.org.

Based upon the response from people we spoke to at our June 11th street action here in sleepy Cincinnati. People are definitely waking up to the truth of 9/11. It's a very encouraging sign!

"A nation of sheep will beget a government of wolves" – Edward R. Murrow

Yeah, there you go CD is just a theory. Right?

This is a great video and no matter how many times I see it my heart starts pumping faster and I can't help but get angry. When I think of the poor victims whose stories we can't hear it just makes me so mad, I say "How Dare YOU! Don't hand me anymore Clintoncrap or BUSHSHIT! We should send this video to every police and fire department in the country and ask them if they're ready to support 911 truth yet. I think the audio track is OK, it doesn't overpower or distract from the video and witness testimony. Thanks LUCAS and to all the brave supporters of 911 truth. Justice for the victims and the families!

Will you add a clickable 'annotation' to one of the versions of your trailer, to this video?

Excellent work, I favorited

Excellent work, I favorited this a long time ago from NuffRespect, good work with your success on the trailer, it is a very high rated video! BTW, to go directly to youtube from the embedded video, just double click on it. Best wishes, Nate

impressive

Lucus, awesome video. I really liked it, and I may be one of your hardest critics, because I'm aware that eyewitness testimony is so often questionable. The good part, though, was that you dealt primarily with immediate eyewitness testimony, which is often the best in terms of what the individual actually experienced, and even the later stuff I think was mostly done quite soon after 9/11, before the official story was set in absolute stone. Going beyond that, the sheer volume of eyewitness testimony, particularly from the likes of firemen, who should have a good deal of experience in accurately noting and describing events similar to these, really hits home.

If I came to this with no knowledge of 9/11 Truth, I would think to myself, "Okay, that's interesting." I would want to learn more.

I regret that years ago, my first encounter with 9/11 Truth was some pod video. I recall thinking that I did not have time to waste on stuff that looked like it was doctored. (Whether it was or not, I have no idea). I wish I had seen something like this instead. It wouldn't have convinced me, which is something you can't ask from a short video, but it would have made me want to dig further.

Kinda Funny

At 8:40, the FOX news clip has a banner that talks about Bldg 7 in the past tense. WAS 47 stories tall, HAD already been evacuated. It would be interesting to know what time that was broadcast since, judging by the shawdows, it doesn't look like it was after 5:30 PM.

Excellent video!

I passed it along......thanks for all your efforts!

Just two comments:

Change the music and drop the old lady at the end

dont drop the music

its gotten like 5 million views, who are these people to say change a winning formula, the only thing would be to add the collapse of building 7

Excellent job

It has made a definite impression and awakened many people, to be sure.
Artistically, I would've slowly faded the dramatic music down and out after the clips started rolling. It is useful to establish the mood of the piece, but then it becomes obtrusive ;-)

MrEguy

Yup

Barry Jennings (the black guy) is actually talking about an explosion in WTC 7, so that would be one place to show its "collapse".

I might decrease the volume of the music just slightly, but definitely not remove it.

Good constructive criticism Vesa

I agree with your point, and yes, a brief clip of WTC7 is always an eyebrow-raiser.

Excellent vid, LUCUS, can't wait to see the full-length! Congrats on the multitude of video views! AWESOME!

9/11 TRUTH is getting HUGE this summer! It feels so GREAT to be on side with the GOOD GUYS!!!

Violence can only be concealed by a lie, and the lie can only be maintained by violence.

~Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

Right on! Congratulations! Thank you!

This is one of the videos that I promoted the hell out of for a year straight online. No matter where I was online I would first provoke interest by saying "911 was an inside job. No plane hit the pentagon." Then after sharing the 9-11 Truth facts-headlines with those in shock at my words, I would challenge people to google 5 movies, and Ultimate Con Trailer was always in that list of five.

Congratulations, and thank you for putting together such a provocative and intense video. You have propelled the 9-11 Truth movement in a huge and significant way.

THANK YOU!!

With you in the struggle,
Bruno

Hi Lucas - This is one of my

Hi Lucas -

This is one of my favorites . . . (but) I had no idea re the massive # of hits it was getting daily.

As part of the "Summer of Truth, 2008" project which so far is incorporating aerial plane banners on the 11th of each month (and July 4th), I'm also currently running 13 BlogAds on 13 various sites (marketing 9/11 truth) promoting either The Plane Truth Project or the dvd Press for Truth and the "Jersy Girls" questions (that we should all be demanding answers to) . . . so will link your "Ultimate Con" You Tube video to all 13 BlogAds later today.

Thanks for posting these incredible stats!

Betsy

P.S. Funny (ironic) that you say Now Go Get Um; I said Let's Go Get 'Em on one of my recent posts here on Blogger, and I heard yesterday (my 48th birthday) that these were Tim Russert's last words . . . Symbolic to me.

add a link

in the info area add a link for "Loose Change" or "loose change final cut" so people can get all the info

Great idea. I'm max'd out

Great idea. I'm max'd out on space right now - so will either delete some or just create a whole new BlogAd dedicated to Loose Change Final Cut at some point . . . Was going to do this for A & E Blueprint for Truth, too . . .

Thanks for this suggestion -

"Music" an insult to the intelligence?

Martin Hanson says:
It seems that most people these days cannot function without some form of electronic background 'music'. It also seems that newsreaders have to appear in pairs, reading alternate sentences, implying that the attention span of the average viewer is limited to single sentences unless he/she is repeatedly jolted back to consciousness by a change of reader.

Though the subject matter of Loose Change, Final Cut, is first class, I cannot bear to watch it because of the insulting, intrusive, incessant background beat. If music has to be used, it should at least be consistent with the sombre nature of the subject matter.

Arguments are won on facts

Arguments are won on facts and the emotions they engender. The emotive effect of music is a double-edged sword. It modifies emotions and lulls critical faculties. Great for advertising or drama but inappropriate when the target is to convey information in a truthful way. Any technique that undermines that aim is counter-productive because these videos will be (and should be) viewed much more critically than advertisements. Most of us came to this subject with a considerable degree of incredulity and sceptical resistance. Any hint of manipulation will strengthen that resistance.

Compromise - use music with great discretion and produce a version without music.
(Upload both versions to YouTube, provide DVD "Music Off" option)
