Oops - We did it again.... Self-Inflicted Germ Warfare
We've brought back some extremely nasty bugs and other problems from Iraq (and probably Afghanistan) and other places, too.
They could be germ warfare bugs, or they could be natural.
A once relatively benign bug has become a highly lethal pathogen, known to U.S. soldiers as Iraqibacter, and to medical science as Acinetobacter baumannii. It is SO drug resistant, that our best "gorilla-cillin" (imipenem) barely even phases it. This is not a good thing. We are basically screwed. Again. And have brought it on ourselves. Although, as usual, a certain group is dragging the rest of us down with them.
