Billboard displays burning World Trade Center with slogan, 'Please Don't Vote for a Democrat'

A political billboard in St. Cloud, Florida reads "Please Don't Vote for a Democrat" over an image of the burning World Trade Center.
Businessman Mike Meehan, who paid for the ad, says he's "only trying to help Republicans." The billboard also carries a link for Meehan's website, TheRepublicanSong.com, at which he says, "I claim to be a man of God" and promotes his political song and video.
Meehan's song, which appears to have racist overtones, begins, "The Democrat secular progressive move, political correctness is killing us too. They want to take the money from the hard working man, and give it to the lazy folks that don't give a damn."
Even Republicans have found the billboard "inappropriate," and many residents want it to come down. "I'm thinking about the Twin Towers, all the families that were killed there," one woman told local TV affliate WFTV.
Another local was more accepting, saying, "They can have their opinion. It's a free country, you want to pay for the ad."
However, the posters at right-wing site Lucianne.com were enthusiastic about the billboard. "Why isn't Mike Meehan the Republican presidential candidate?" asked one. "Liberals get abjectly hysterical whenever the truth about them is pointed out," wrote another. "People who refer to the terrorist attack as a tragedy are morons," added a third.
The company which owns the billboard says it's a free speech issue and has no plans to take Meehan's ad down before the election.

Mike,
I appreciate your courage in being willing to take comments from anyone about your efforts. I won't be voting for a Democrat or Republican for president this year. I do believe Jesus wants me love and forgive all God's children. That includes all candidates and you. That doesn't mean I have to agree with any of the other sinners I encounter. I'm just supposed to love and forgive them.
Both major parties believe in having a military. I don't think Jesus would support having an military. There are very good secular arguments for defending yourself, your family, and your country. I don't think Jesus would agree.
No one said being a Christian was supposed to be easy. I do believe if I do what Jesus wants me to do, I will be rewarded on spiritually, not physically.

Some viewing the billboard will take the message as it is and vote republican (they were voting republican anyway) because the evil Arabs hate our freedoms and want to kill us all.
Some will see it as republican failure and vote democrat.
Some will see it as manipulation using fear to influence behavior.
Some will see it as another attempt in a long string of attempts to manipulate behavior dating back to the original event.

All will see 911 as an event that has influenced and continues to influence behavior and not as something to "get over". The more 911 is kept under our noses the more it will be questioned.

But be advised you will be opening up a door to the truth and it will be upsetting. Most of us in the 911 truth movement had no idea what we were going to find when we started to research the subject and never considered the impact this would make to our lives. Tasteless Billboard an opportunity for 9/11 Truth Activism?
This billboard expresses the free speech we are trying to salvage from our damaged constitution.
I recommend we back the existance of the message and the sign as an example of poor taste but that we (9/11 truthers) are determined to "fight to the death" for their right to express their opinion.
There are other tactical reasons this sign will advance the 9/11 False Flag issue with the help of the Tampa 9/11 truth group and others.

Finger pointing
Let the games begin.
Repeated demonstrations at this location, with BIG -- like REALLY BIG signs are in order here. Florida truthers need to be all over this, but be careful with reverse finger pointing, it could backfire on us. This is a hand delivered opportunity to connect with the public on the vulgarity of this message and bring to light the ongoing struggles of the 9/11 victims. Remember, along with trying to scare us, the billboard is also priming the local public to be sensitive to the 9/11 victims. I'd get THOUSANDS of copies of "Press for Truth" and "In Their own Words" and distribute them all over the surrounding area. No need to ask, "What should we do next?" in Florida.
