WWW.SST911.ORG DELETED: NEW ORGANIZATION TO FORM

Friends,

This will be my last post as the founder of Student Scholars for 9/11 Truth. Our website, www.sst911.org, has been deleted. This is not to say that we are backing away from our activism in regard to a new 9/11 investigation. To offer a simple explanation, here is the email I sent to all of my members earlier this week:

Hello everyone,

I hope that all of your summers are going well. I have some news and am just going to go right into it: During the past year and a half we have accomplished a lot on behalf of demanding justice, accountability, and closure in regard to 9/11. However, 9/11 is part of a much larger picture. A picture that encompasses many forms of government corruption that need to be addressed and brought to the forefront of everyone's consciousness (i.e. election fraud, wars of aggression, domestic spying, torture, etc.).

Accordingly, it is with great enthusiasm that I am announcing to you all that a new organization is in the works, Young American for Accountability (YAFA). This is not to say that we are in any way retreating from our 9/11 activism in any way. What we hope to accomplish with this new organization is to focus on the larger picture and broaden our coverage of issues. We are still going to use similar methods (articles, videos, etc.) in our approach to these issues. We will have a website up and running soon, with a new format that will make it much easier for members to contribute to the site (see 911blogger.com). Most of the articles and videos from sst911.org will be reposted at the YAFA website.

In conclusion, I am extending an invitation to everyone receiving this email to join YAFA as a member, or if you're interested in being further involved, as a member of the steering committee. The proposed Steering Committee at this time consists of myself, Mike Jackman, Eric Jackman, Mark Peters, Nick from Philly, and Jaclyn Bruntfield.

Soon, we will be putting a press release and will have the YAFA website up and running. Thank you, everyone, for your assistance with Student Scholars for 9/11 Truth, I look forward to our continued relationship via Young Americans for Accountability.

I do hope you will keep an archive

of information , data ,posts etc from http://www.sst911.org/

Any chance of running 2 websites in parallel?

You are making a transition for the better as 911 is just one component of the entire Corrupt Warmachine which is the Military Industrial Complex.

However, for the record, Student Scholars for 9/11 Truth should still exist in some form or another. Perhaps as an arm of YAFA or a co-partner.

Just my 2 cents.

You are in a better position to make the best judgement, but a youth students movement encompassing 911 Truth AND the issues discussed by Aaron Russo in America Freedom to Fascism is a FANTASTIC IDEA.

I just like the names Student Scholars for 9/11 Truth AND Young American(s) For Accountability interlinked TOGETHER.

Good Luck with your New Initiatives.

Let us know if you need any help. Manpower, Resources, Contribution, Finances etc.

I am sure many of us can contribute.

Even a little given by many many many people can mean much.

Love to See Young Patriotic Americans / Canadians etc showing Moral Courage in Standing Up for What is Right.

Keep Up your Momentum. You guys have definitely made a major impact.

Don't Despise Your Youth. And Don't Let Anyone else either.

The CONSTITUTION is NOT going to "collapse" into pulverized dust no matter how much thermate/explosives or planes they throw at it

This sounds good

It's my experience that openess to taking LIHOP and MIHOP seriously has more to do with a pre-existing bias towards what sorts of depradations the US government is capable of, rather than rational arguments. And clearly, those people who say "I can't believe that the government would allow its own citizens to be killed." tend to be quite ignorant of the mountains of evidence for exactly that, in scandals having nothing to do with 911.

Short of successful legal action at the local level, such as with the NYC ballot initiative, I see no near-term resolution of 911 questions involving evidence held by the Federal government. Really, the fix was in years ago, as Mike Ruppert expained, regarding stymied and compromised legal efforts. And who reasonably expects that a Congress, even with 9% approval ratings, that refuses to attempt impeachment of a notoriously dishonest President and Vice-President, are going to lift a finger with respect to 911?

So, correcting the government through 'normal' political means, using NON-'high strangeness' events (e.g., lying us into a war of choice, lack of regulation of the financial and real estate industries, war profiteering, etc.) as issues to rally around, seems the way to go.* And as for correcting the psychological resistance of the public to not be in denial about their own government's misdeeds, Mr. Martell has it exactly right that "9/11 is part of a much larger picture". Many people just cannot wrap their minds around what the 911 coverup implies, and we should charitably work with that constraint, rather than be a one-trick pony. 911 has not proven to be some sort of Rosetta stone to understanding and correcting corruption within the government, and clearly a broader approach is needed.

And correcting the government, so as to make it more decent and accountable, going forward, IS the end-goal of 911 Truth activism. We cannot bring back the dead, and merely seeking accountability for 911 will not guarantee that another 911 will not occur the day after successful 911 prosecutions. What needs to be corrected is not merely a few 911 perpetrators being removed from government, but the very structure of a government that allows for conspiracies to be first executed, and then covered up.

As for what additional subjects need to become part of the public's everyday consciousness when considering government excesses, perhaps the best ones are Operation Gladio and the MLK trial. In other words, government conspiracies involving murder that have already been proven in court.

Finally, I strongly suspect that a game theory analysis of American politics would show that the chance of 'winning' (reform) is much higher if citizens devote their efforts to reforming the existing major political parties. I recommend that Democratically inclined voters check out Progressive Democrats of America, and Republican inclined voters check out Ron Paul's effort to create a movement.(Sorry, don't have a link handy.) I think a new organization would do well to also push the meme that Americans shouldn't whine if all they do is show up to vote, and complain via letters to Congress and such between elections. They need to engage more directly in the political process, if they're serious about getting better people into Congress. Of course, third parties are an option, also, and far better than just staying home on election day. Maybe YOU (yes, YOU!) should run for office! See http://www.democracyforamerica.com/training . A new organization is going to get the inevitable questions "What can I do?", and there is no one-size-fits-all answer. But clearly, one suggestion should be the political one. THE ULTIMATE GATE-KEEPERS OF POWER ARE THE POLITICIANS WHO GET ELECTED TO OFFICE, AFTER ALL. (Well, at least as far as the 'visible government' goes. :-) )

* Indeed, bearing in mind that "Politics is the art of the possible", and bearing in mind the still considerable resistance to and denial of 911 Truth, any candidate for Congress who wanted to bring about investigations into 911 would do well to keep their mouth shut about their intentions until AFTER they have been elected.

List Of Items Required For Change

- Getting big private money out of public elections.
- All candidates on ballots should receive equal public funding and media coverage.
- Busting up 2 party monopoly that suppresses 3rd party alternatives. (2 major parties have conspired to bar 3rd parties from major presidential debates by demanding that they acheive certain national pollings stats while receiving little to no national media coverage.)

Private interests and their funding dominate current system. And a cooperative, gatekeeping media is the glue that holds the current illusion together.

I think campaign finance hysteria might be a myth

For example, as far as I know, a person can only donate $2,300 to a candidate.
And, I don't consider 2,300 to be big money.

Can anyone expand on this?

Check out the 'bundlers' concept...

http://www.publicintegrity.org/blog/entry/336/

"Traditionally, the practice of “bundling” — pooling together a large number of donations — is a common and often essential part of campaign fundraising. Presidential candidates rely on the work of their wealthy and well-connected supporters to haul in huge amounts of cash, sometimes bringing hundreds of thousands of dollars each.

Barack Obama, the presumptive Democratic nominee, has tried to break the mold, employing a revolutionary fundraising process that relies heavily on small donors — up to 88 percent of his total funds come directly from those individual donations. But Obama is not exactly ignoring those supporters with deeper pockets and extensive connections. An analysis of his campaign’s 328 bundlers, who have raised anywhere from $50,000 to more than $200,000, reveals that they have brought in at least $31.65 million, accounting for at least 11.9 percent of Obama’s total fundraising haul of more than $265 million. Of those 328 bundlers, 78 individuals brought in about $15.6 million dollars to the campaign — at least 5.8 percent of his total funds.

Fourteen of Obama’s bundlers are lobbyists, according to Public Citizen, a nonprofit public interest organization founded by Ralph Nader that tracks bundlers through its White House for Sale project. Rival John McCain, the group reports, has 70 lobbyists working as bundlers.

Even without bundling, Obama would still likely crush McCain’s fundraising total of about $97 million. In fact, the $31 million-plus brought in by Obama’s bundlers accounts for a minimum of nearly one-third of McCain’s total haul. (And McCain’s campaign has also identified 107 bundlers.)

In 2004, Democratic nominee John Kerry raised $248 million for the primary. His more than 500 bundlers brought in a total of at least $41.5 million in the primary—about 17 percent of the total. So prodigious is Obama’s fundraising that, even with some 200 fewer bundlers and a reliance on small donors, his campaign has raised almost as much through bundling as Kerry.

In the interest of full disclosure, the Obama campaign has published its list of bundlers online, but at least one name seems to be missing. Robert Blackwell, a Chicago entrepreneur who has known Obama since his days in the Illinois State Senate, is a longtime supporter of the candidate..."

---------------------

I think it's possible that there are unidentified "bundles" out there.

I still disagree--RP money bombs "bundling"

Thanks for the link Rep.

According to the articles description, money bombs for RP were bundling. He raised like 6 million in one day of bundled donations.
If the State had taken away that power, the RP movement wouldn't even had close to as much impact...

Therefore, I cannot support the State banning bundled donations.

Exclusive & Equal Federal Money Creates Even Playing Field

The bottom line is, those with the most private funds generally win elections.

How they get these funds varies. The dumbed down electorate donate to those covered by the major media. And virtually all of them are from the major 2 parties.

"Outsider" candidates almost never raise major private funding because the controlled "gatekeeping" media suppress their existence from the wider public.

Take away the vast sums of private funding from controlled major candidates (that is mostly derived from controlled media coverage) and outsiders would have a fighting chance.

The system as it is now will prevent the emergence of a competitive alternative political movement. History has proven that.

Political monetary donation should not be deemed political expression. If so, the rich mans expression is more vital than the poor mans.

Equal expression takes place at the ballot box.

What exactly do you mean by "hysteria"?

I disagree. When we have completed prosecutions

and executions of all responsible for planning, carrying out and covering up 9/11, if we do a thorough job, our paradigms will have more than shifted. They will have been irrevocably SHATTERED and re-assembled without Democrat or Republican Parties, without for profit corporations owning OUR airwaves, without the vast majority of evil and greed still breathing. Some may escape the guillotine but will be in a deep, deep hole in Gitmo like seclusion , quarrantined from further infecting our gorgeous planet with their vile reptillian filth.

Peace, love and all humans living in harmony on a clean earth is very much a possiblity if we choose to fight for it.

9/11 Truth is THE KEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please do not abandon it, water down your efforts, or try convincing yourself or others that any other issue is on the same level for Planetary Salvation.

And just how close are we to "completed prosecutions"?

Answer: Not close, at all. Most members of Congress won't even TALK about 911 in a serious fashion. E.g., other than, say, a Cynthia McKinney (who isn't even in Congress, anymore, though she's running for President as a Green), who in Congress has even raised their voice to demand the release of Pentagon video camera footage showing whatever it was (IMO, certainly a jetliner) that crashed into the Pentagon?

As far as I know, NOBODY. We're going on 7 years since 9/11, and we can't even get a crumb of verbal protest out of Congress about this. Therefore, how much more unlikely is it to believe that 911 can be some sort of Rosetta stone that unlocks all of the dark secrets of the government, such that the fallout will be no more Democrat or Republican parties?

It's important to be not just idealistic, but realistic, as well. I think religious faith should be reserved for religious devotions, and not applied to politics. There is too much at stake here not to be honest with ourselves.

911 Truth is not "THE KEY", but only part of a key, and only for some people, at that.

The good news is that political reform movements are underfoot that have, indeed, shown signs of success, ito getting better people into Congress. However, it's going to be a long slog, which is all the more reason why "911 Truth"-only activists should consider not putting all of their eggs in one basket. You need a critical mass of people in Congress forming a consensus get things done - it's not called democracy for nothing. We need lots of Cynthia McKinney's, Dennis Kucinich's, and Ron Paul's in Congress, not just a couple, to BEGIN the process of real reform.

Deny this reality at your own peril.

As long as college based organizing remains

I have been advocating for months that people consider going back to their colleges to attempt to generate an activist group if there is none. If there are alumni out there who like this idea, please contact me. 410-499-5403 or dslesinger@alum.mit.edu
