The New Pearl Harbor Revisited: Was America Attacked by Muslims on 9/11?

Toronto 9/11 Truth and WeAreChange Toronto are Proud to Present: David Ray Griffin in Toronto

8-10 PM, Sunday August 31, 2008
OISE Auditorium, 252 Bloor Street West, Room G162

David Ray Griffin is emeritus professor of philosophy of religion at Claremont School of Theology and Claremont Graduate University. He has published 34 books, including seven about 9/11, the most recent of which is The New Pearl Harbor Revisited: 9/11, the Cover-Up, and the Exposé. His lecture will summarize the evidence in this book for its most important conclusion: Muslims did not attack America on 9/11.

"In 2004, David Ray Griffin published his landmark book The New Pearl Harbor: Disturbing Questions about the Bush Administration and 9/11, which became a founding text of the 9/11 truth movement, presenting what was then the most thorough critique of the official story available. As new developments occurred, Griffin continually brought the discussion up to date in his subsequent books. Now The New Pearl Harbor Revisited synthesizes the most important points of these previous studies and includes Griffin's chapter-by-chapter commentary, which updates that earlier discussion with everything that has come to light since, including the most recent developments." - Amazon.com

David Ray Griffin and Kevin Barrett talk about Dr. Griffin's new DVD titled 9/11 and Nationalist Faith, the basic notion that our country is good and that the thought that our leaders could organize attacks against their own citizens to promote their agenda goes beyond the pale.

No...

America was not attacked by Muslims. America was attacked by criminals. 9/11 was a crime with suspects, evidence, means, motive, opportunity, and so on. The suspects may be Muslim, they may be American, they may be Jewish, they may be Saudi Arabian, they may be Pakistani, and so on. That doesn't mean it was a Muslim, American, Jewish, Saudi Arabian, or Pakistani crime. It was a crime, and should be treated as such.

Do these people deserve to know how and why their loved ones were murdered? Do we deserve to know how and why 9/11 happened?

I agree with Jon

if we went with the religous categorization we would probably have to conclude that the methodists attacked us on 9/11.

Well, I think the only religon we can rule out...

... is the Amish.

Whatever hit the Pentagon, it damn sure wasn't a horse-drawn buggy and a cheese wheel.

yes, they could have brought down the towers, but it would have taken them 16 years with some rat-tailed files and handsaws.

HA!

thank god we have some people with humor -- and humor with a point to make.

Seriously, Jon makes and excellent point. This is one of the biggest myths we have to destroy and it serves us well to continually be reminded.

The background

'This is one of the biggest myths we have to destroy '

And as we endeavor to do this, it's worth bearing in mind the preparation of the public mindset with propaganda well before 9/11. Remember Samuel Huntington and his 'clash of civilizations' thesis, drawing on the earlier arguments (since at least the '70s, I think) of Bernard Lewis. Never bothering to inform their readers, of course, of the long history of ties between the most reactionary elements in the Muslim world and western intelligence. The 'clash', of course, is not between civilzations, but between lying elites and their own domestic populations.

Was it...

Muslims that attacked us, or criminals who happened to be Muslims? Was it America that helped to attack itself, or criminals that happened to be Americans?

People that say it was a "Neocon crime, a Zionist crime, etc..." are not doing ANYTHING different than what those who started the "War On Terror" against the Muslim people.

They said it was the Muslim people that attacked us, so we went to war against the Muslims. The people that promote 9/11 as a "Zionist crime...", etc... do they want us to go to war with Israel to kill all of the Zionists?

I think those responsible for the 9/11 attacks should be held accountable for what they've done. I don't think all of their families, their countries, or their religions should be blamed for the attacks.

Edit: I spoke to Dr. Griffin, and he clarified his stance...

I've never said Muslims were not involved.

My present article/lecture, in fact, is called: Was America Attacked by Muslims on 9/11?
