Friday, August 15, 2008

Alex Jones talks with Jonathan Ellinoff of Colorado Change about the DNC cages for protesters and how they attempted to go into the camp to get exclusive footage and talk to the guards but were strictly warned to stay away although they did manage to get some footage of the camp and detail some new information about its location and description.

DNC Detention Camps

Infowars | August 15, 2008

At it again trying to show everyone the tyrannical government oppression, We Are Change Colorado exposes the detention camps built for the DNC protesters. We Are Change members attempted to go into the camp to get exclusive footage and talk to the guards but were strictly warned to stay away. They did manage to get some footage of the camp and detail some new information about its location and description.

Apparently this is all being kept a secret facility, until now. We Are Change Colorado showed up at 3833 Steele St in Denver to get a glimpse of the draconian concentration camp style facility that has been designed to hold civilians during mass arrests. The place has virtually no bathrooms and one giant air conditioner.

Located right next to the facility is a large LZ (landing zone) for helicopters to land andload or unload their cargo. Also located between the warehouses are the railroad tracks. Like something out of a movie, this facility looks like a flash from the past as if Nazi Germany or the Japanese Internment camps. Political prisoners have always been discussed throughout history, but in the United States? It is becoming more and more like the playground of the New World Order Crazies.

Here is the exclusive footage from We Are Change Colorado:

Shit's

fucked up, son.

Sick

Great work guys! Only suggestion I can give is try try try... just try to befriend the cops. Bring 'em over to our side. It's worth a try.

With you in the struggle,

I can't help but wonder...

Good job guys!

But, I can't help but wonder what the response would have been had the WAC boys showed up in Tyranny Response Team jackets or dark suits, shiny shoes, Bluetooth headsets, and dark shades rather than looking like skate punks. They still sell plastic toy police badges, ya know.

Get arrested? For what? Impersonating a patriot?

The people are the source of all political power, and all of government is limited by our state and federal constitutions. However, the constitutions do not defend themselves; they just sit there. Citizens must defend constitutions against unconstitutional acts by those wielding governmental power.

The most pernicious form of tyranny is that which disguises itself as a benefactor to its victims. An act of tyranny anywhere is a threat to freedom everywhere. Every unlawful act committed by the government -- whether at the local, state or federal levels -- is an act of tyranny, and we, as responsible Americans, have a duty to maintain vigilance and to respond to acts of governmental tyranny in order to preserve, protect and enhance our rights, freedoms and liberties. As Jefferson repeated, "The price of freedom is eternal vigilance … the eye of vigilance should never be closed… when the government fears the people you have liberty; when the people fear the government you have tyranny."

Citizens across the country are teaming up to educate themselves and others about their rights, about what is really going on in government and about how to professionally, intelligently and rationally confront tyrannical, unconstitutional behavior by government . A "tyranny response team" is taking shape in the country. Started in Colorado, it is spreading across the country. The tyranny response team is America's newest team of educators: a citizen-oriented, constitution-oriented national education effort.

Vintage Special Police Toy Pinback Badge

Buy It Now Price: $2.50
Of all of the Special Police toy badges produced in the 1950's and 1960's, this has to be the cheapest, flimsiest and poorest struck badge ever made. It is unsigned, maker unknown - probably from Japan. It has a pin on the back. Shows some wear as pictured, but it is a bit hard to determine what is wear and what is the result of simply being a very flimsy tin piece which looks to have been badly stamped. Check photos for a better idea of the condition. Measures 2 1/2 inches tall.

Amy Goodman covered this

Excellent work, WeAreChangeColorado!

It's significant video. It reveals the heart of those in power. I shouldn't be surprised after the RNC protest zones and warehousing of arrested protesters--but I am! How can they not consider the ill-will this will engender? Or is that their goal?

Will some of these protesters get lost and be on a train to Beech Grove, IN.?

Beech Grove Tour

It's your taxpayer dollars furnished to the likes of KBR and Halliburton at work against you. The camp is real. The facilities meant to oppress dissent by protesters at the DNC, are real.

I forgive these young guys for any absence of effort to persuade those employed at the facility. I don't believe, they are interested if they work at a detention facility.

Hats off to this effort! Are you scared yet? Are you afraid yet? Or, do you respond like Alex Jones? The time is approaching where you either decide to take a stand or the opportunity will be deprived you!

...don't believe them!

Denver defends the indefensible

City defends 'secret jail' built for DNC

"The public was never going to view this place, it was just found out," Spagnuolo said. "They got caught with this place. They told our lawyers in negotiations that this place didn't even exist."

http://www.9news.com/news/article.aspx?storyid=97741&catid=188

DENVER - Activist groups say the converted warehouse poses a threat to civil liberties. The city maintains the facility is needed in case of mass arrests during the Democratic National Convention.

The makeshift holding center, dubbed "Gitmo on the Platte" by activists, is located on city-owned property near Steele Street and 38th Avenue. Newly-installed security cameras guard the exterior, chain-link fences and barbed wire form cells inside.

"We feel the city should be ashamed of this secret prison they've set up," said Re-create '68 organizer Glenn Spagnuolo.

Spagnuolo and other activists gathered outside the formerly-secret facility on Friday to protest the city's plan to use it as a processing center for all those arrested outside the DNC.

"The public was never going to view this place, it was just found out," Spagnuolo said. "They got caught with this place. They told our lawyers in negotiations that this place didn't even exist."

"This was never a secret site," said Undersheriff Bill Lovingier, the city's director of corrections.

Lovingier said the city had long planned to build a new holding facility for the DNC, which triples the processing speed of the city jail. Lovingier said the Steele Street warehouse will be able to process 60 arrestees an hour.

"This center is designed as an arrest processing site," Lovinger said. "There will be no housing or long-term detentions."

Activists said that claim was doubtful.

"What's going to happen here is police are going to detain people for an inordinate amount of time," said Unconventional Denver organizer Ben Yager. "They're going to use this as an excuse to keep people out of the courts and off of the streets."

Protest groups questioned whether the makeshift facility would be suitable for inhabitation after years as a storage facility.

Lovinger said air-conditioning has been installed and the Denver Fire Department has certified it meets fire codes.

"We've provided for restroom facilities, water, medical assistance," Lovingier said. "We tried to mirror in this facility what we do every day in our city jail."

Bob Barr, Tom Tancredo, Alan Keyes and Constitution Party candidate Chuck Baldwin, to speak at Minutemen's DNC rally

http://cbs4denver.com/politics/DNC.bob.barr.2.794676.html

Representatives of both Libertarian presidential candidate Bob Barr and U.S. Rep. Tom Tancredo confirmed Wednesday that they would speak at the event organized by the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps.

The daylong event will take place in Congress Park, a residential neighborhood east of downtown Denver. The group has no plans to protest in the fenced-off area designated for protesters on the grounds of the Pepsi Center, the site of most of the DNC's events.

Can you say "hyperbole"?

I knew you could.

Overreaction much?

If that is the "evil detention center" we have to look forward to, then I'm not much scared at all.

Anyone with a lick of common sense would interpret it all a bit differently.

Just in case there are some riots or something, they need somewhere to store the human overflow.

It doesn't get any simpler than this.

They are by the train tracks so they can force the detainees to take a one-way trip to Texas on Am-Trak.

Now that is a fate worse than death itself.

You people seriously need to lighten up a little and get over this super paranoia trip you are on. It's quite unhealthy.

And it also detracts from all of the real stuff that is going on that people really need to be concerned about.
