RON PAUL: THIS IS MUCH BIGGER THAN THE REPUBLICAN PARTY!

By Justin Martell

Ron Paul’s Rally for the Republic took place only a few blocks from the Republican National Convention and brought a crowd of nearly ten thousand despite being publicized mostly through word of mouth and the internet.

For those who are not aware, Ron Paul is a ten term congressman from Texas who ran for the Republican nomination on a platform described by many as “old school” or “traditional” conservatism. Throughout the primary season Paul maintained that his party had “lost its way,” after receiving criticism for advancing views seen by the Republican base as not in line with current views of the Republican Party. The main example being that Paul was the only anti-war Republican. This certainly led to some very heated exchanges on the debate stage.

At first, Paul was viewed as a dark horse in the Republican race. I, myself, was at Paul’s first New Hampshire fundraiser. It was held at a house in Bedford, New Hampshire and was attended by a little over one hundred people. It was February, 2007 and Paul was at one or two percent in the polls.

I followed Paul’s campaign closely, and from February to November of 2007 I watched in amazement as Paul’s campaign defied even his own expectations. In a column I wrote for the Pierce Arrow, Franklin Pierce University’s student run newspaper, shortly before the New Hampshire Primary in November of 2007, I summed up how far the campaign had advanced:

Political comedian Stephen Colbert even went so far as to flash a photograph of a monkey named ‘Binko’ on the screen during his show and announce that Binko had surpassed Ron Paul in the polls.

Sorry Mr. Colbert, but according to a poll released on October 25 by Saint Anselm's College's Institute of Politics, Ron Paul has now risen to 7.4 Percent in the New Hampshire Republican Primary. This new poll places Paul ahead of the man that many thought would shake up the primary but so far has failed to create much fanfare, Senator Fred Thompson (R-TN).

Paul announced on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, in late October, that he is now number three in fundraising among the GOP candidates, raising more money than Senator John McCain last quarter. Paul's number three fundraising position was further solidified shortly there after, when the Congressman's campaign raised $4.2 million dollars during a one day fundraiser on November 5th. Since the fifth, Paul has raised an additional three million dollars which brings him roughly four and a half million short of his campaign's goal of raising 12 million this quarter.

The campaign came to be known as the Ron Paul Revolution. The lack of media coverage did not seem to be a problem, as his supporters seemed to be everywhere and intent on spreading their message whether those listening were receptive or not. Other candidates complained about Paul’s supporters, and the media seemed frightened at times (Fox News commentator Sean Hannity was reportedly chased down the street and made to dodge snowballs hurled at him by Ron Paul’s fans.) Regardless, Paul and his devoted followers pushed on and ran one of the most aggressive campaigns of the 2008 presidential primary.

So what happened? Where did all of the momentum go?

Despite all of the donations, visible support, and unexpected public interest, Paul failed to gain the support of the majority of the Republican Party. On June 12, 2008 Paul officially withdrew from the presidential race stating that his “resources could be better spent on improving America” because he believed that his campaign would fail. Determined to keep his message visible, Paul announced around the same time that he was launching a new organization called Campaign for Liberty.

According to the Campaign for Liberty website, the organization’s goal is to “The mission of the Campaign for Liberty is to promote and defend the great American principles of individual liberty, constitutional government, sound money, free markets, and a noninterventionist foreign policy, by means of educational and political activity.”

One of the first actions of the Campaign for Liberty was to put together the event that took place today, the Rally for the Republic. Most politicians and political movements often retreat into bitter obscurity after their message and goals fail to gain significant traction. However, in the case of Congressman Ron Paul and his supporters things appear to be the total opposite.

As explained on the Rally for the Republic website the rally was to “be a celebration of our movement and our supporters, a launch party for the Campaign for Liberty, and a clear call to the Republican Party to return to its roots of limited government, personal responsibility, and protection of our natural rights. The event will run in conjunction with the first two days of the Republican National Convention and will feature top conservative speakers, musicians, and organizations. It will also have an organizational and training function for the Campaign for Liberty and the Freedom Movement.”

A celebration was what they aimed for, and a celebration was certainly what they got. The rally ran for almost ten hours and the wide variety of speakers kept the audience of nearly 10,000 Ron Paul supporters hanging on nearly every word. MSNBC’s Tucker Carlson performed the duty of Master of Ceremonies. When asked if he agreed with all of Ron Paul’s views he laughed and said, “There are a bunch of issues I don’t agree with him on, but that’s the beauty of people like Ron Paul. You don’t need to sign up to a twenty point program to be a Ron Paul fan.”

After a few words from Carlson, Matt Colvin stepped up on stage to sing the National Anthem. Colvin is an active duty member of the U.S. Air Force and has served three tours in the Middle East. The crowd rose instantaneously, placed their hands on their hearts, and joined Colvin as his chorus.

The first speaker was Barb Davis White. White is running for the U.S. Congress in Minnesota’s fifth congressional district. “I am running for Congress in the Fifth District here in Minnesota against Keith Ellison, and we’re taking the Fifth District back from liberalism, fascism, and socialism!” The crowd cheered, White certainly knew her audience. She ended her remarks with a prayer she had written, “Thank you, dear Heavenly Father for Dr. Ron Paul! For his wife, for his children, and thank you for sharing him with all of us. Thank you for his vision to take back this country for liberty, freedom, and justice for all!”

One by one the other speakers expressed praise for Ron Paul and shared with the crowd their knowledge of the issues so important to Paul and his followers; peace, adhering to the United States Constitution, less government intervention in the lives of Americans, abolishing the federal income tax, ending the wars in the Middle East, and abolishing the Federal Reserve System.

The speakers included; chairman of the Conservative Caucus Howard Philips, author Lew Rockwell, author Bill Kaufman, presidential historian and New York Times best selling author Doug Wead, constitutional scholar and columnist Bruce Fein, former Governor of Minnesota Jesse Ventura, President of Americans for Tax Reform Grover Norquist, the current Governor of Minnesota Gary Johnson, and former Congressman Barry Goldwater, jr. There were also musical performances from Aimee Allen and Sarah Evans.

“The speaker besides Ron Paul that really stood out to me was Jesse Ventura,” said an older man in the audience sporting a Rally for the Republic t-shirt and a holding a sign that read “DUMP MCCAIN!” Ventura spoke for close to half an hour to an obviously electrified crowd, who were so enthralled with his remarks that he had to pause from time to time to let the “Run, Jesse, Run!” chants die down. “Let’s remember something,” said Ventura, “I am not a Democrat! And I am not a Republican! And I say that very proudly today because I think these two parties are destroying our country! Remember something if you will about voting. Voting is not a horse race, voting is voting your heart and your conscience. And when you do that, don’t ever, ever, let a Democrat or a Republican tell you you’ve wasted your vote!”

After an entire day of speakers one would think that Ron Paul’s supporters would be “revolutioned” out. However, when Barry Goldwater, Jr. led the crowd into a “Ron Paul!” chant, the crowd was more energized and excited than it had seemed all day, and from the previous events one would think that a crowd could not get more energized and excited than they had been before Dr. Paul took the stage.

As Ron Paul took to the stage red, white, and blue confetti shot off from locations all around the auditorium and Paul stood and waved to the crowd for several minutes before the cheering died down so that he could speak. Even after his national campaign, Paul still appeared very humbled by the affection and admiration of his supporters, “believe it or not, I still think of myself as a country doctor that has gone to Congress and I’m the quiet little Congressman from Texas,” he said, “And for thirty years I was rather quiet, but in the past eighteen months it was discovered that the ideas of liberty and the revolution was alive and well and we’re celebrating it here tonight!”

The crowd hung on Paul’s every word as he spoke about what had been accomplished during his campaign for President and assured his supporters not to be disappointed that they were not able to sway the Republican base back to it’s roots, “"This is much bigger than the Republican Party. . . . In a true revolution, believe me, the revolution does not occur within a single party."

He added, “They asked me about what I wanted to do as President, you know, I really look at it differently. I want to be President because of the things I don’t want to do! I explained that I did not want to run people’s lives, I did not want to run the economy, and I did not want to run the world! They said, ‘well that sounds like a weak President.’ Well, I don’t think so, I think resisting the temptation of power and we don’t need more government power!”

Ron Paul closed his remarks by thanking his supporters for all their hard work and reminded them that their message needs to keep growing, “I sincerely believe that our day is coming. Could you imagine going from those twelve spammers we had in the beginning to what we have here tonight!? In eighteen months we had a thousand percent increase in energetic freedom fighters. What if we had a thousand percent increase with those who are with us today. We have a large crowd here tonight, but what about the country? We’re not talking about ten thousand, we’re not talking about a hundred thousand, we’re not talking about the million point two who voted for our campaign in the election we’re talking about millions of people in this country and around the world who have heard this message and it’s growing and it seems like even they tried they can’t stop us!

One thing that has been truly unique has been watching Ron Paul take his message from that small house party in New Hampshire, energize thousands of people across the country, and leave the country with a movement and message much larger than just himself. In an off stage interview with Barry Goldwater, Jr., when asked if the Rally was a “last gasp” he said, “This is the beginning! It [the revolution] will keep moving and growing. These kids down here have gone to school and learned about politics and how to start a home grown organization. They’re going to go back to their home states and develop a grass root organization of attracting people to the cause. This is only the beginning.”

".......For those who are not aware, Ron Paul is a ten term congressman from Texas who ran for the Republican nomination on a platform described by many as “old school” or “traditional” conservatism......"

I beg to differ. As an EX-RON Paul supporter.

Pls see the whole post here: For those who are not aware.

Why does Ron Paul have this view on IMPEACHMENT?

http://www.lahontanvalleynews.com/article/20071215/News/112150044

"........Paul told the LVN earlier that the decision to invade Iraq in 2003 without a declaration of war by Congress was the most egregious violation of the Constitution in the last 20 years. But when asked why he hasn't supported the impeachment of President Bush, Paul responded that impeachment is the duty of the opposing party, and he would have to consider if a president willfully or ignorantly deserved impeachment before making a decision....."

Is that a proper Constitutional Position? Ron Paul thinks that it is only the duty of the opposition to Impeach.

And he has to "consider" if the President deserved impeachment. Amazing and Shocking.

Ron Paul seems to be hiding behind pacifying the 911 Truth Movement call for a new investigation OUTSIDE THE PURVIEW OF MSM CAMERAS and only on the basis of the "Incompetence Theory".

On top of that his oath of LOYALTY to the Republican Party is highly suspicious to me.

His recent declaration that he has always been a Republican and will always be one makes me wonder.

No doubts the Democrats are as bad, but a Constitutionalist will NEVER PUT PARTY OR PRESIDENT B4 THE CONSITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

C'Mon America.

Pls Wake Up.

Personally I think RP is serving his own personal interests using us.

Republican? Sure. (Sarcasm here)

What about the Republic Itself? 911 Destroys it. So not speaking about it is........

Pls read the whole article at : http://911blogger.com/node/14834

Let us not be so naive and gullible to be fooled by politicians who are experts at tickling our ears.

Anyone who does not have the political courage to deal with 911 Truth CANNOT possibly deal with shutting down the Federal Reserve etc. Let's be realistic.

These are long tried and tested methods of neutralising movements, subverting them and preventing any credible OPPOSITION to become a serious threat to the EXISTING Order that runs the District of Columbia.

There are a whole lot of skeletons in Dr. Paul's closet - some of which are too personal for me to bother mentioning here but frankly shilling for him in an established 911 Truth site WHEN HE HAS BLATANTLY AND PUBLICLY DISREGARDED AND ABANDONED 911 Truth is unconscionable and without wisdom.

Dr. Paul is not the as "clean" as "uncorruptible" as we may think he his. Do some research.

And wake up please. See a Trojan horse for what it is.

911 TRUTH IS MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH BIGGER THAN RON PAUL.

Or his shills.

The CONSTITUTION is NOT going to "collapse" into pulverized dust no matter how much thermate/explosives or planes they throw at it

I think you...

need to re-evaluate.

As I've stated time and time again on this website in the "Comments" on people's posts, do you really truly believe Paul would've gotten as far as he did announcing in the first or second debate that "9/11 was an Inside Job"?

Not only is that term completely and utterly ridiculous (in a marketing-business sense), but for him to say that would be CAREER SUICIDE for him. The main stream media would rip him apart, and everyone and their grandmothers would pigeon-hole him as a lunatic, fringe conspiracy theorist.

This is my issue with alot in this 'movement'. For the past seven years, we've had people screaming "9/11 Was an Inside Job!" as if its the phrase we need to use. NO NO NO NO!... Look at this in a marketing perspective:

To target the greatest audience, you need to alter your marketing message accordingly. Yes, 9/11 was an Inside Job may resonate well with politically-active people, or those who have researched it, but it does not sit well with the avergage Joe-Schmoe walking down the street. The minute they see that or hear some person standing on the side of the road with that kind of sign, they immediately think back to the Main Stream Media's perspective on it, and we're re-labelled as conspiracy nuts.

Instead, why don't people try to change their tactics (and credit is due where credit is deserved, as more and more activists have begun this approach...). Instead of screaming Controlled Demolition and 9/11 Was an Inside Job, why don't you talk about things that are FACTUAL, IRREFUTABLE no matter what your political belief. Talk about the Whistleblowers, Talk about the government foreknowledge, talk about the terrorists and their links to other governments and our own, speak of the financing aspect, speak of the put options, etc.

All of those things listed above CAN OPEN THE DOOR to those "average folk" then making their own assumptions on DIRECT government involvement, etc. Essentially, it leaves the window of opportunity to target a bigger audience much wider.

Now, I know I'm going to hear it from everyone here... "Controlled Demolition IS A FACT, blah blah", "Our government WAS directly involved!"... Oh really? How about if thats the case, why haven't more people taken to the streets? Why haven't the police revolted? Why haven't other countries looked to help us? The fact of the matter is, those subjects are tabu and we do NOT KNOW enough to be able to present that as complete fact no matter what. Don't get me wrong, I don't disagree those towers came down in a fashion never seen before, or that it's very hard to say our government did NOT have a helping hand in all of this, but we have spent SEVEN YEARS saying the SAME THING over and over again... and we've run into a wall.

If we want things to get better, why not try to change our tactics? I truly believe there is no good reason NOT to try something different.

As for Ron Paul, this is where this all comes into play...
Again, I will turn all of your attention towards Austrian Economics and the von Mises institute. There have been numerous scholars of Mises that have openly and publicly questioned 9/11. Ron Paul's entire campaign is based upon the idea of Austrian Economics (for the most part), so why are we not to believe that he is not as open as to questioning 9/11 as those other scholars?! Because he wouldn't shout and scream and look ridiculous at a debate when asked about the 9/11 Truth Movement? Because he openly downplayed his ties to the 9/11 Truth Movement in his run for presidency?

I personally KNOW for a fact, that Paul knows something is fishy with 9/11. ANYONE can tell something is fishy with 9/11 if they just look at the official report. But in a country where the minute you question something of that magnitude, I do not blame Paul IN THE LEAST for not screaming "Inside Job" and "Question 9/11" during any of the debates, etc.

What do we know? We know that on countless occasions he's stated on camera to activists that he does support a new investigation, that he knows we don't know the full truth, etc. Paul is not using 9/11 as his "golden key" to his running... Instead, he uses the idea of the illegal Federal Reserve as his "turn-key" to open people's eyes.

The 9/11 Truth Movement uses 9/11 as our "running base" to inform people, Paul uses the idea of economics, inflation, and the illegal Federal Reserve. For those of you in the Truth Movement who think "9/11 Was an Inside Job" orchestrated by elements of our government being run by the elite of the world... so much as to say, the elite "banking cartel families" of the world... HOW ARE YOU ANY DIFFERENT THAN PAUL? Paul is questioning the DIRECT source of the problem, while we are questioning an event that took place as a result - as most inside-jobbers would say - are the global elite.

All I am saying is, don't turn your back so quick on the 'establishment politics'. Paul is a very, very smart man... He may not sit with us on every issue, or use "our issue" as his basis for running, but he is just as much a true patriot as much as we are for questioning the FEDERAL RESERVE and the GLOBAL ELITE as we question one of the WORST TRAGEDIES in HISTORY, which very well could've been orchestrated or known about by the same global elite Paul still questions regularly.

See everyone in NYC! Less than a week!

".......Paul is a very, very

".......Paul is a very, very smart man......."

Your words.

Well he sure is.

He has fooled a whole lot of people.

It will be so much nicer educating Ron Paul about 911 Truth rather than "educating" the 911 Truth Movement about Ron Paul.

Sigh.

A man who had to THINK about Impeachment.

Oh yeah - "....Paul is questioning the DIRECT source of the problem, while we are questioning an event that took place as a result - as most inside-jobbers would say - are the global elite...."

You must believe 911 Truthers are ignorant of the Federal Reserve, the Shadow Government and the loss of Constitutional Liberties and Safeguards. And Ron Paul is our "Saviour" - the man WHO CANNOT IMPEACH AND CANNOT SPEAK OUT ABOUT 911 TRUTH DURING THE PRESIDENTIAL DEBATES BECAUSE IT WAS POLITICAL SUICIDE.

Well pls tell me, how does Ron Paul have the COURAGE TO QUESTION THE DIRECT SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM and yet not have the guts to speak about 911 Truth during the debates?

Which is a greater Threat? The DIRECT SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM or 911? Pls tell us.

Career Suicide? It is National Suicide complicit people like Ron Paul are commiting.

Are you kidding me. Had he spoken the Truth - he would not be where he is right now. The support would be overwhelming.

The debates would have been an EXCELLENT PLATFORM TO OPEN UP 911 TRUTH FOR DISCUSSION.

PatriotsQuestion911.com.

Ron Paul could have easily raised many salient and excellent points during the Fox Debate and forced the issue that UNANSWERED QUESTIONS DEMAND A NEW INVESTIGATION.

HE COULD HAVE EASILY RAISED THE ISSUE OF THE EPA LIES AND THE PLIGHT OF THE 1ST RESPONDERS AND DEFLECTED FOX NEWS ATTEMPTS TO ATTACK HIM AND TURNED THE QUESTIONS TO HIS ADVANTAGE.

HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON THE ATTACK ON 911 TRUTH ISSUES INSTEAD OF COWERING AND BASICALLY DISOWING US.

We have the numbers. And the %. Our support would have overwhelmed the Republican Party.

I'm a conservative. Aware of the Federal Reserve, OKC 95, WTC 93. Many of the issues that AJ speaks about long b4 even GCN went live.

Ron "No-Impeachment" Paul DOES NOT speak for me.

Try to learn what a Judas Goat is.

911 Truth is the DEFINING LINE between those who want to reclaim the Republic and those who want to serve a Dictatorship no matter what the rhetoric.

Dr. Paul talks the talk.

But he cannot walk it.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The CONSTITUTION is NOT going to "collapse" into pulverized dust no matter how much thermate/explosives or planes they throw at it

I don't disagree...

with you that Paul should be on board for the bill of the plight of the First Responders.

And I'm not at all saying 9/11 Truthers are ignorant of the Fed, read what I wrote again because I said the exact opposite.

Paul uses his tactics to gain public knowledge of the 'elite' by discussing the Fed, the movement does it by talking of 9/11.
Those who chant "Inside Job" by Global Elitists... that's how I refer that they are ONE IN THE SAME with Paul.

Paul is confronting the elite on the issue of the Fed. We are confronting the elite with the issue of possibly being involved with 9/11, directly or indirectly.

You still haven't addressed my issues of changing tactics, but I wouldn't expect that to happen.

I'm sorry we have a difference of opinions on the matter, but that's what's great about this country! :-)

Best of luck with everything, will you be in NYC on 9/11?

The CONSTITUTION is NOT going to "collapse" into pulverized dust no matter how much thermate/explosives or planes they throw at it

There is a lot of room...

... between "screaming 9-11 was an inside job" and disowning the entire Truth Movement.

I agree that the truth is in the details, but you have to somehow motivate people to take a close look at those details in the first place. You are assuming that we have an intellectually-leaning population who are prone to pay close attention to details and analyze the matter at hand on their own instead of relying on regurgitations of our politicians and mass media. Unfortunately, we don't have that. The problem is that the average Joe-Shmoe, as you put it, is not motivated enough to delve into the thousands of minutiae of "who knew what and when" that the 9-11 truth consists of. You need to somehow jolt the average Joe out of his couch and make him drop his remote.

I can give you a personal example. I saw Griffin's Omissions and Distortions book in a bookstore long before I became a "truther", but I didn't pay any attention to it. Why? Because of the soft title. "Here we go -- another round of hairsplitting and fingerpointing," I thought. Little did I know that there were holes in the official story the size of Grand Canyon. If the book's title would have been "9/11 Commission Report: A 571-Page Lie" as DRG has characterized the report later, I am sure I would have actually taken it in my hand and begun reading it. Similarly, making weak and vague statements, like "there are some unresolved issues with 9-11", or delving into the minutiae of facts surrounding 9-11 does not provide a "jolt" strong enough to motivate an average person to actually begin researching the subject for himself.

Instead of copping out, Ron Paul could have said: "The Government may very well have been involved in some aspects of 9-11. We simply don't know what happened on 9-11, because there has not been a real investigation yet. Please take some time and read the 9-11 Commission report for yourselves. Then read David Ray Griffin's book 9-11 Commission Report: Omissions and Distortions. After reading those two books, you tell me if this tragedy was sufficiently investigated and wether the government's complicity is out of the question." He could have then referred his listeners to a few credible truth sites with credible and educated memberships, such as ae911truth.org, stj911truth.org, pilotsfor911truth.org, or others, thereby making a point that there are a lot of credible people who have serious questions about 9-11.

I have to say, I get a little nervous (not to mention -- begin question their motives) when I see prominent people, such as Ron Paul, totally copping out when they have a chance to influence the mass conciousness the most. Especially when their degree of copping out seems to be directly correlated to the height of podium they are given to speak. How come, he can question the official story on "Wake Up America", and then turn around and discredit the whole Truth Movement altogether on presidential debate, just where he has the largest audience? Something is wrong here!

I think, the mass awakening can only be achieved when a sufficient number of prominent people call attention to 9-11 in sufficiently strong words from mainstream media. And 9-11, in turn, will lead to the other stuff, like Federal Reserve, etc., not the other way around. Federal Reserve has not killed anybody yet (at least, not directly), so, it is not strong enough motive for an average person to start digging around. On the other hand, when one finds out with a high degree of certainty that somebody within our own government has been instrumental in killing of thousands of its own citizens and in subsequent coverup, THAT would make people to wake up and start asking questions.

Excellent Post!

Let's EDUCATE RON PAUL on 911 Truth instead of the other around.

Look into RP's relationship with CIA Michael Scheuer, one of the principal creator of the Bin Laden myth, or his beliefs in Milton Friedman economic policy's, that reduced most of latin America into slaves states for corporate interests.

Ron Paul could have said he thought something

about 9.11 was fishy, or any other non-committed TRUTHFULL statement. He did nothing with the question, when he had the most people watching him (FOX DEBATE) & it sucks.

Paul also has not co-sponsored the 9.11 health bill, even though I spoke with his office 5X times.

I like much of what I hear from him, but I need to see some real actions.

RP should have said this during the debates.

http://patriotsquestion911.com/ - under Ron Paul

Radio interview on Wake Up America with Pat Gorman 6/21/07: In response to a caller's question about the 9/11 investigation.

Congressman Paul: Well, I think he was asking about, you know, who ultimately is to blame and whether or not it deserves more investigation. There was one investigation. They spent a lot of money and very extensive and I think he indicated that they didn't even mention the third building that went down (WTC Building 7).

Government investigations, as a general rule, aren't very good because when the government does it, they generally protect the government. And whether it's investigating 9/11, or, you know, Ruby Ridge, or Waco, they tend more to be coverups than anything else.

The truth is I don't know exactly all that transpired. I don't know if anybody knows the absolute truth, but there's reason to be very suspect of what's happened. And I am convinced that the 9/11 Commission Report did ignore some very, very important things like the third building, as well as why did those numerous Arabs from Saudi Arabia with the name of bin Laden get to go home when none of us were allowed on airplanes. That always amazed me, as well, especially since the 15 out of 19 came from Saudi Arabia. And then they turn around and they use this as an excuse to go into Iraq. So, you know the whole thing, whether it's strictly 9/11 but it's the repercussions from 9/11 that led to the useless and needless war, that all needs looked into just for the sake of the future of our country. ...

Pat Gorman: It seems that we've got this propaganda machine that has just started to really blow up and being out of control. Like, you know, tell them whatever we want them to hear. Don't tell them the truth. ...

Congressman Paul: Yeah and I think that's true. The only way that can work is you have to terrorize the people, our people, in a different way than, you know, what terrorism is really is all about, but we terrorize them by building up tremendous fear. You know, "If you don't do something, if you don't give up your liberties and if you don't invade this country, we're all going to be blown up." You know, so they have to terrorize us and build great fear that something terrible is going to happen to our country unless we sacrifice our liberties and go to war.

My take: I am "balls to the wall" in the 9/11 Truth Movement, because I feel that 9/11 Truth is the key issue to opening the door to everlasting change. Once a person starts through that door, they go down the rabbit hole of truth and spiritual change.

Money Masters - The Ron Paul Movement addresses the money masters and constitutional issues. I feel that these are important issues. In fact, for many people this is a first step on the higher road to 9/11 Truth (e.g. Aaron Russo's film "America: From Freedom to Fascism" often leads people to 9/11 Truth.)

My priority is 9/11 Truth.

I WON'T MAKE OTHERS WRONG if they try to correct other injustices as their priorities. { For example: I fully support those who expose the corruption and lies behind vaccines, GMO foods, the medical dogma, the New World Order, the Federal Reserve & Banking, IRS, depleted uranium weapons, etc. } Politically, I also love Cynthia McKinney, Kucinich, Gravel, etc.
We are all on the same side against the "dark side", but as for me...my priority lies in 9/11 Truth.

Here is Ron Paul talking about Building 7 in this interview. It is worth listening to.

Here is Ron Paul publicly stating that he does not accept the official version of 9/11.

Do you suppose it was just a coincidence that Jesse Ventura

spoke at length about 9/11 at the Rally for the Republic? I don't.

"Property rights are the foundation of all rights in a free society."
- Ron Paul, September, 2007

Wow, he said that?

But it gets worse from there . . .

He also has already chosen Jim Fetzer as the 9/11 truth advocate ...

Note what "Galileo" (Barrett's campaign person) posts on that page:

On April 15th, 2008 Galileo says:
Fetzer taught at the University of Minnesota for 35 years and has published over 20 books on Artificial Intelligence and the Philosophy of Science. I'm a friend of Fetzer's, and I would hope that an honored professor could be treated with respect.

Excellent Post

especially for Ron Paul "Truthers".

KISS

I really like Bov's analysis.

KISS principle applies here -- "Keep it simple, Stupid." If a person states a position clearly and consistently then take him at his word.

Ron Paul is not an advocate for 9/11 truth. He has said nothing clearly in support of 9/11 Truth, and he has done nothing officially to promote a new investigation or to aid first responders.

Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Speaking of Michael Scheurer

I read in his book that he released his Bin Laden testimony to the 9/11 commmision.
It can be found in the freedon of information act.

Does anybody know about this or know how you get this?

What's wrong with property rights?

.....

Ron Paul

Wow, you don't think property rights are hugely important? Should government own most everything? I agree with RP on that one 100%. Without property rights, we have nothing.

Are you real ?

Without property you have no property rights, but if you are part of the criminal banking and corporate elite that own just about everything, including Government then the world is your oyster and the people and resources are yours to exploit. RP can wrap himself in the constitution, but it's only to hide the fact that he is just another neocon fascist.

So who would own the property then?

In your society?

The only way we can move forward is to have property rights. Otherwise, the government owns all and we have communism. Personally, I'm an anarcho-capitalist, so you can call Ron Paul whatever you want and it makes no difference to me. With even the tiniest bit of government force in our society, whether it's from a Paul administration or a neocon one or a socialist one, we will always be ruled by violence and authoritarianism in our lives and thus never truly have freedom.

What's with the people saying property rights are bad?

Incredible ignorance.
Taken to the logical conclusion, without property rights, one doesn't even own their own body!

These people should study some philosophy...

On Property Rights

(Paul doesn't only talk about property rights in the abstract, he talks about real property, as in real estate, frequently).

Even if spoken in the context of eminent domain, this was an eye-opener for me.

To some, such a quote describes a freedom from meddling and oppressive `big government,' the spectre of `communism,' or worse, `socialism.

But to others, this quote has an ominous ring, harkening back to a time when those without property could not vote, or when feudal lords controlled all property (allowing `the people' to rent), or even to our own times today when an average American couple cannot possibly afford their own home in a large metropolitan area where they might have a job, like San Francisco or New York City. In short, the thing about property rights is that some of us own, and some of us never will have the means to.

And the problem with this kind of a statement is that it's the opposite of the compassionate country doctor who cares for all . . . regardless. This is one of Paul's key contradictions, discerning between those with property and those with nothing, that some have the a piece of the foundation, others, nothing. The dividing of America begins.

Some of us feel that the foundation of all rights in a free society are not property rights, but rather, human rights -- the right to live free of torture, racism, and war, among other atrocities. Yet, these are the basic tenants of the United Nations Charter, a document created by the body which Paul considers run by "elites" and which he openly states we should withdraw from. The US helped create the UN, and signed the UN Charter in 1945, in a US city. Nations all over the world came together for one reason, the same primary reason that people support Paul and trust in his words: the desire for peace and not war, as a means to resolve conflict.

Well said.

The right to Life,Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

THE FOUNDATION OF OUR RIGHTS.

I don't care if he believes 9/11 was real...

... because that is not my litmus test.

He voted against the Patriot Acts, against the war and all the other big-government crap that has been done on the basis of 9/11. If we had even a small cadre of Representatives with that sort of principle then we wouldn't be in the position we are, despite 9/11.

The fact that he did all of that apparently believing that it was a genuine terrorist attack only makes him MORE worthy of support.

If I support a candidate who is a "thruther" and that is their defining issue, then I can only count on them opposing government action when they personally believe the ostensible provocation is fake, and when the solutions are related to a fake attack and/or come from their ideological enemies.
