KRS-One Discusses 9/11 Truth and Hip-Hop

I sit down and have a chat with hip-hop legend KRS-One on 9/12/2008 during SMT Studios' Now or Never 2008 benefit concert for dying September 11th first responders. KRS discusses the plight of the rescue workers, what happened on 9/11, and his attitude towards Hip-Hop and social consciousness.

The interview ends somewhat abruptly, as my tape ran out. When I turned around, there were about 4 or 5 other cameras behind me filming, so I'm sure you can find the rest of this somewhere online if you look.

great interview/lecture

krs needs to be put out front in the public eye more.

I'm very happy to see

I'm very happy to see KRS-One on the side of 9/11 truth, although he seemed a little vague when queried about what he thinks about the "inside job" theories. I get the impression that he may still be under the influence of some of the left wing gatekeepers, ala the Chomsky/Bono/Ford Foundation wing of the left. Still, very glad to see him speaking out. Been a fan of his since his days with Boogie Down Productions back in the 80's. "Criminal Minded" is one of the first rap songs I took a liking to. I have it saved on my I-Pod, and listen to it not infrequently. A classic. I just hope he goes all the way, and gets beyond the LIHOP position eventually. At this date, there is too much data to remain on that level of skepticism.
