David Icke?!
I stoped watching the video when a bookcover of David Icke (!!!) appeared.
Keep watching.
The Icke reference was a skeptical one at the very beginning of the film. If you recall, it was given to Paul as a gag that he took a bit more seriously when customs agents questioned him extensively about it. This is a great movie, very similar to Zeitgeist but more watchable and less divisive along religious lines. Recommended viewing, especially for its Canadian perspective; I've gotten a few people to watch this with good results already.
I'd say it's a bit Zeitgeist meets Elephant in the room meets America Freedom to Fascism.

David Icke is obviously either insane or
running a phantasyshow. David Icke is in the same category as no-planers, space-beamers and other ridiculous people who harm (or try to harm) the 9/11 truth movement. And if someone flashes a cover from a book by Icke in a video, one had better dump it in the nearest garbishcan as soon as possible. Period.

Why are we even discussing this? This is David bleeding Icke--of the shapeshifting reptilian mothership fame.
Whatever he's got to say that might be valuable has been said said by loads of people more credible.
Anyone including an Icke reference in a video that is not a documentary on disinfo, has horrid judgment or is seriously around the bend.
Its the film maker's responsibility to appear credible--not ours to give them passes for including obvious tot.

It's not an Icke movie.
The filmmaker is talking about his roadtrip through the states circa 2006, and the book comes up as the one he is questioned about at the border. Verge (the director) wasn't even an Icke fan. If it was "Crossing the Rubicon" (if you happened to like that one) that he was questioned about, it probably would have been a slightly different anecdote. But there wasn't any credence being given to lizard-folk in the film, in fact the notion is ridiculed.
For the record, I also think shape-shifting lizards is an extremely silly idea, with or without a mothership. But if you have the time to enjoy a long film, give it a chance please. I really enjoyed it, and you just might too.

Having watched David Icke 's July presentation (available on web) I must say, I found nothing he stated with which I disagreed. In fact, he demonstrated insight and a grasp of detail regarding the permutations of the NWO and endgame unfolding before our very eyes.

Alex Jones and David Icke
I have great respect for Alex Jones and try to listen to his show as often as possible. On one of his shows he had a long interview with David Icke and from what was said they both seemed to agree on just about everything. There was no mention of shape-shifters. Everything Icke said made sense. Perhaps he has changed. I know he has a huge following and he always points out that 9/11 was an inside job. In my mind that is a good thing. Alex said he will have him on again in the near future. It should be interesting. Anyone who pushes 9/11 truth is OK in my book.
David Icke is not "OK"
He is either insane or being dishonest, for whatever reason. There is NO EVIDENCE supporting the reptilians nonsense. There are some ridiculous videos that laughably claim to show people shapeshifting, and some ancient myths, but no facts and no legitimate research. Just because Alex Jones has somebody on his show doesn't make him or her OK. Alex Jones doesn't care about the best interests of the movement; he is just trying to make a buck. David Icke unfortunately has a cult following in the UK that AJ wants to tap into. The statement that "anyone who pushes 9/11 truth is OK in my book" is very dangerous and just the type of naivety that disinformation pushers are counting on. If the KKK was pushing 9/11 truth would they be OK in your 'book'?

Oh, and "he didn't mention reptiloids this time" is not an excuse. Icke needs to give an unqualified apology for ever mentioning them in the first place. When he takes responsibility for his fuck ups, I might consider listening to him on other subjects. Until then, he's poison to 911truth.

In defense of Tarpley...
Jenny, placing Webster Tarpley in the same category as Judy Wood and Nico Haupt is unfair.
Tarpley is a very bright, well educated man who not only adds a unique and important perspective to the analysis of 9/11 itself (he continues to update his book "9/11 Synthetic Terror" which is now in the 4th Edition), but perhaps more importantly: the broad historical lines of conspiracy (which in prior work he traces back through London to Venice), the current political environment (he now two books on Obama in print) and the expanding economic dimensions of the problem (he appears to have been way ahead of the game when he wrote surviving "Surviving the Cataclysm") .
While I whole-heartedly agree with your stance against the "big tent", I think alienating Tarpley is a mistake.

Paula Gloria is also a huge supporter of Nico Haupt. They were interviewed on the Howard Stern show on "behalf" of the 9/11 truth movement. Tarpley has appeared on Gloria's show many times. If you look at Gloria's background and 9/11 activism... go and visit her youtube account and you'll see what she's all "about".
There is nothing wrong with being critical. The basic strategy to discredit 9/11 truth is VERY simple. Associate it with absurd claims and ignore the best evidence. So, failing to be critical plays right into the hands of people who want to discredit the 9/11 truth movement.
Nico Haupt historically is someone whose main purpose is to disrupt. If you watch his behavior, 99% of what he does online consists of attacking 9/11 truthers. This includes physical disruption and provocations at meetings in the NY area. He made attempts to harass people by phone and post these attempts on the internet. He tries to attach DEW at protests and has attempted provoking physical confrontations at protest gatherings. Interestingly, we see the people who advocate the most obviously dubious material (like Nico Haupt, TV fakery, Directed energy weapons, etc. for example) advocating disruption and attacks against people who are critical of these ideas. Or even, critical of attacks. Simply quoting words and being critical is now an example of "attack", "disinformation", and "COINTELPRO".
Shape shifting lizards, then, would be an example of a claim used to poison any good information by association. Or TV fakery. DEW.
The people who advocate these things when criticized attempt to frame any criticism of these ideas as an "attack". This is to intimidate criticism and enforce the big tent strategy of associating with the 9/11 truth movement itself. As soon as we say: don't be critical, we are allowing Trojan horses to discredit good 9/11 information. The information war is not an obvious two part battle between official story and alternative account. There is also a battle to associate obviously false claims with good information. This has been happening since the JFK assassination, and we will continue to see this. Any efforts to bring increasing exposure to 9/11 truth are almost always combined with hoax material--aggressively. Attempts to criticize this material are often framed as "divisive" and an "attack" to intimidate fair criticism of ideas that are used to discredit the 9/11 truth movement.

I enjoyed this. And it is a different style.
I enjoyed this. Different film style. Very "real" for many people, and it had a "personal approach of communication". Great clips. Easy to follow. A remarkable accomplishment if you think about it...much of the film is narrative, which goes on for hours. Yet, the film holds an energetic interest. It does not put a person into a stupor like a college lecture might. The style and method of communication and visual changes and background music mix well in this new approach to filmmaking. Also, I enjoyed being exposed to a broad range of people who are not ordinarily in the 9/11 Truth news.
I also enjoyed the first hour of "Zeitgeist: Addendum", especially from a perspective of educating people. The second hour was interesting, (but doesn't quite inidcate to me). The first part gives a good, quick education on the money powers. That appeals to me for dissemination purposes. I think the first hour is a great instruction for those wanting an overview about money. The first hour is great for broad public consumption.
