The End of America - A new documentary from Naomi Wolf

The End of America - 75 minutes.

“My sense of alarm comes from the clear lessons from history that, once certain checks and balances are destroyed, and once certain institutions have been intimidated, the pressures that can turn an open society into a closed one turn into direct assaults; at that point events tend to occur very rapidly, and a point comes at which there is no easy turning back to the way it used to be.”

Naomi Wolf, The End of America: Letter of Warning to a Young Patriot

among my favorites.

The Penguin Cafe Orchestra was a loose assembly of musicians headed by classically-trained guitarist, composer and arranger Simon Jeffes (Crawley, Sussex, England, 1949-1997). Only Jeffes and cellist co-founder Helen Liebmann were core members; other musicians were drafted for the requirements of particular pieces or performances. Its sound does not fit easy categorization, but has elements of exuberant folk music and a minimalist aesthetic occasionally reminiscent of Philip Glass.

The Penguin Cafe Orchestra recorded and performed for 24 years until Jeffes died of a brain tumour in 1997.

The video is not working!!

Anyone else having this problem? I tried it in 3 browsers but no luck (Firefox 3, IE7, Google Chrome)!!

Damn Snagfilms. I checked Google Video but it ain't there...

Fix your title

It's "Naomi Wolf," not Naomi Klein.

Yep, Wolf not Klein.

Yep, Wolf not Klein.

I'm watching this...

And believe me, I like Naomi Wolf, and I like this movie... but the things she's saying is exactly the same things we've been saying for 6, 7 years.

Made that at least 4 years ago.

Do these people deserve to know how and why their loved ones were murdered? Do we deserve to know how and why 9/11 happened?

This is...

A very good movie to show as a "the results of 9/11" kinda thing.

Do these people deserve to know how and why their loved ones were murdered? Do we deserve to know how and why 9/11 happened?

Excellent film

I just finished watching it a moment ago. Go to the source page and you can use the full-screen option with that player (as opposed to the dinky window on this page).

Was on Alex Jones Yesterday

I think he may have sent her a bit furter down this rabbit hole.

I wish he could tone it down just a bit and be a bit more humble
about the vast amount of knowledge that he has accumulated.
I think that he is turning away alot of new listenership with his
attitude. I'd like to send more people his way but it has been getting
really hard to listen. I know his frustration but for a new listener it
can seem a bit fanatical and over the top radical. I have learned more
from Alex than any other but I can see past his passion.

The situation is dire and people need this information. They are moving
forward at an unprecedented pace and we need to do what we can to spread
our message.
Together in Truth!

Ya, he's always 'on edge'

He's a loose-cannon. I listened to the interview and found it awkward to listen to at times. I think he might scare her away the more she gets to know him.
