Cross Country Benefits for 9/11 First Responders

Albany, NY
November 23rd
3p.m.
8 acts come together to do what congress failed to do and help the 9/11 first responders.

This concert is going to rock. Here's what we need you to do. Do your own concert. This needs to catch on as soon as possible. I've tried other avenues of promoting this, but the truth is, me and bureaucracy don't get along very well. Yes, even bureaucracy within 9/11 truth. So do it yourself or with the group of friends who you trust. Here's what you need;

A venue - find a place to play. Often colleges will be easy if you are in a college, simply consult your activities board and get a room. Coffee shops are also pretty easy.

Get a PA / Sound guy - I'd try going to the open mics around town and directly talking to whoever runs the PA there. If they can't do it personally, they probably will know someone who can.

Get acts - The fun part. Start messaging bands around town. Try to find bands that are big local bands that will get a good draw. If you aren't sure who these are, just go to the websites of the bars around town and check out who's headlining. Then message them on Myspace! Tell them, hey: Gig Opportunity for 9/11 first responders. Give them all the details and then let them know that you can put them on the bill.

Make the schedule, allowing for time between bands to set up (about 15 - 30 minutes)

Promote. Tell all your friends. Make a facebook event. Make a myspace event. I can help with flyers for free. If you can make your own, make em.

Let's do this people. It's up to us. If you have any questions, email me.
