NIST - The Other Cover Up Investigation

Two 110 story buildings gone before our eyes in less than 10 seconds. The following... IMO is the normal reaction as it happened, and the reaction I had at the time...from a CNBC anchorman on 9/11.....

Several hours later the cover up and lies were officially entered into the record when President Bush went on TV to address the nation.....

1:06 mark..."terrorist attacks can shake the foundations of our biggest buildings, but they cannot touch the foundation of America. These acts shattered steel, but they cannot dent the steel of American resolve. America was targeted for attack because we are the brightest beacon for freedom and opportunity in the world and no none will keep that light from shining."

The outrageous insult to your intelligence is right there in front of your face and is repeated to this very day. "We were attacked because we are so incredibly free, the Government will keep you safe." When the fact is thousands were murdered on 9/11 because of actions of our Government whether you believe 9/11 was an inside job or not. Terrorists target America because of the actions of the Governments foreign policy and support of Israel not because you are free, and to even have to point this out, shows how pathetic the lies, and media that support them have become.

And from that moment on it was set in stone. Not another peep about how the buildings came down or why we were attacked. Planes hitting the buildings caused them to collapse and we were attacked due to our freedom.

Now I have to admit, that even to this day I find it very difficult to believe that these buildings were packed with explosives and blown to kingdom come. However, I'll go where the evidence takes me, and I find it equally hard to believe that these buildings would disintragrate in less than 10 seconds, and I know I'm being lied to as to the motives behind the 9/11 attacks.

Detailed studies were done before the construction of these state of the art buildings, including what impact a plane flying into the building would have on the structure.

The most definitive book written on the twin towers as far as I can find is a book written by Pulitzer prize winning journalists from the NY Times called City in the Sky - The Rise and Fall of the World Trade Center. By James Glanz and Eric Lipton. These guys are not "truthers" as far as I know which makes the book even more interesting, from an independent stance, to me. The following quotes and page numbers given are from this book....

So when people say.."of course the towers fell, a freakin' plane flew into them" that a logical reaction? Yes, it is..... but only if you don't do any research, and depend on the Government and your television for information.

"..engineers had discovered that not even a speeding 707 would shear off one of the towers." page 133

"The engineers found that the tower would have an even more remarkable kind of resiliency to protect it against a total collapse because of those lost supports. The tightly spaced columns above the damage, each connected to the next by the spandrel plates, would spontaneously form an arch over the hole. The technical term is a Vierendeel truss - the same type of arch-like structure that supports many pedestrian bridges or other light bridges." Page 133

"The Vierendeel trusses would be so effective, according to the engineers' calculations, that all the columns on one side of a tower could be cut, as well as the two corners and several columns on the adjacent sides, and the tower would still be strong enough to withstand 100 mile-mile-per-hour-winds" Page 133

Yea, but that's based on 707s not 767s that were used..blah blah...don't even try it...the sizes are comparable and frankly 707s go faster giving them more kinetic energy...

Property Boeing 707-320 Boeing 767-200

"...was a huge support structure called a hat truss that would sit atop each building and tie its core to its exterior. Already under discussion as a brace to hold up a soaring TV antenna on the north tower, the hat truss could add robustness to the entire building from top to bottom"
page 166

The towers fell down exactly the same way, because they were built exactly the same way......uh...not exactly....

"No longer true twins, the north tower's core would run east-west, and the south tower's north-south." Page 166

If you were going to pack the building with explosives, I think someone would notice a bomb under their desk or in the closet. Yea, well, if explosives took down the towers they would be at the core of the building not under someones desk. The core of the building is the reason the "pancake theory" had to be scrapped because the floors were built around the core and for the pancake theory to work you would have this massive core remaining. You blow the core blow the building up.

This antenna on the North Tower gives a big clue as to what happened.

"When the north tower began it's collapse at 10:28, sheets of fire spewed from the impact zone as if expelled by a colossal explosion. Some videos of the collapse seem to show that its television antenna began to drop a fraction of a second before the rest of the building. That could mean that something in the steel core gave way first, pulling down the rest of the building with it." page 271

"...officials at the Department of Design and Construction, including Michael Burton, had decided to ship virtually all the trade center steel to scrap yards, where it would be cut up, shipped away, and melted down for reuse before it was inspected. That decision eliminated the question of where to store the roughly 200,000 tons of steel from the twin towers alone. Burton cleared the decision with Richard Tomasetti of Thornton-Tomasetti Engineers. Months later, Tomasetti would say had he known the direction that investigations into the disaster would take, he would have adopted a different stance. But the decision to quickly melt down the trade center steel had been made."
Page 330

According to the book Mr Burton thought it was a no brainer......

"We know why they fell", he said. "Because they flew two planes into the towers" Page 299

And finally the investigation......

"Within days of the attacks, the American Society of Civil Engineers(ASCE) began organizing an assessment of why the towers collapsed, to be led by W. Gene Corley, a Chicago structural engineer." Page 329

"Although the ASCE was providing much of the expertise, the investigation was financed and given its authority by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) with which Corley's team had a shaky relationship from the start.....they were unable to persuade FEMA to obtain basic data like detailed blueprints of the buildings that collapsed. Bureaucratic restrictions often kept the engineers from interviewing witnesses to the disaster, making forensic inspections at ground zero, or getting crucial information like recorded distress calls from people trapped in the buildings. For reasons that would remain known only to FEMA, the agency refused to let the team appeal to the public for photographs and videos of the towers that could help with the investigation" page 330

"This is almost the dream team of engineers in the country working on this, and our hands are tied," said one angry team member just before Christmas 2001. He spoke anonymously, since members had been threatened with dismissal for speaking with the press. "FEMA is controlling everything," he said. "It sounds funny, but just give us the money and let us do it, and get the politics out of it"
page 330

Who was heading FEMA at this time? Joe Allbaugh, who was appointed director of FEMA by President Bush, after he served as Bush's' campaign manager to get him elected as President. He was appointed in Feb 2001 and in May 2001 Bush announced that FEMA would expand its responsibility to include government response to terrorist attacks. He left FEMA on March 1st 2003. Why? Because Bush was about to destroy Iraq on March 19 2003 and his new company could help you get a contract rebuilding it...for a fee of coarse. You can read all the dirty details here.....

"A federal agency with little interest in investigations was in charge, and the main cache of physical evidence was being sent away to be melted so that it could be gotten out of the way." page 331

While FEMA refused to grant the members of the ASCE team any authority to conduct a real investigation, they did anyway, and with incredible results.

"On September 19 a member of the team was getting ready for bed at the Tribeca Grand Hotel, a few blocks north of the trade center site, when he noticed a flatbed truck, loaded with steel, parked outside waiting, as it turned out, to take it to barges at a Manhattan dock. Hungering for a close-up look at the steel, the engineer got dressed and went downstairs to take notes and photos. For three nights he continued his work as a kind of irregular militia of the forensic investigation, cataloging thirty or forty of the beams and columns." page 331

ASCE wanted the recycling stopped, and so did the victims family, but the government didn't care what the investigators or family victims wanted.

"The recycling continued, although the city agreed to let investigators inspect the steel." page 331

"On December 14, nearly three months after the program had been disclosed, Sally Regenhard was standing in a drizzle outside City Hall protesting the recycling decision. Her son, Christian, a firefighter, had died in the towers' collapse. "We're here today to call for a stop to the destruction of evidence, composed mainly of steel," she said. The city ignored the calls to stop the recycling, pointing out that it was now letting investigators into the scrap yards." page 332

Wasn't that nice that investigators were now allowed to examine the steel thanks to demands of the victims family? Not for the authorities it wasn't, because what they found was rather astounding.

"Two structural steel members with unusual erosion patterns were observed in the WTC debris field. The first appeared to be from WTC 7 and the second from either WTC 1 or WTC 2. Samples were taken from these beams and labeled Sample 1 and Sample 2, respectively. A metallurgic examination was conducted."

"Evidence of a severe high temperature corrosion attack on the steel, including oxidation and sulfication with subsequent intragranular melting, was readily visible in the near-surface microstructure. A liquid eutectic mixture containing primarily iron, oxygen, and sulfur formed during this hot corrosion attack on the steel. This sulfur-rich liquid penetrated preferentially down grain boundaries of the steel, severely weakening the beam and making it susceptible to erosion. The eutectic temperature for this mixture strongly suggests that the temperatures in this region of the steel beam approached 1,000 °C (1,800 °F), which is substantially lower than would be expected for melting this steel."

Melted steel. They are describing the possible effects of thermate, or another type of explosive. Fires from jet fuel or office fixtures do not melt steel.

"These sulfides have a lower melting temperature range than manganese sulfide. It is much more difficult to tell if melting has occurred in the grain boundary regions in this steel as was observed in the A36 steel from WTC 7. It is possible and likely, however, that even if grain boundary melting did not occur, substantial penetration by a solid state diffusion mechanism would have occurred as evidenced by the high concentration of sulfides in the grain interiors near the oxide layer."

"Suggestions for Future Research

The severe corrosion and subsequent erosion of Samples 1 and 2 are a very unusual event. No clear explanation for the source of the sulfur has been identified."

Well, well, well,.....looks like a real in depth investigation from a powerful government body with subpoena power is needed, for this "further research." And that is how NIST came into the picture......

"With enhanced federal powers, like the ability to subpoena evidence, and a great deal more money, a new investigation began immediately. Still, the confusion and lost time at the start of the original effort means that much evidence is gone forever. The new investigation is still in progress with it's report due in 2004."
page 333

The cover up investigations.......

You see the 9/11 commission was not the original investigation into 9/11. It was a cover-up investigation. And the NIST investigation into the WTC was not the original investigation into the WTC, it also was the cover-up investigation.

The real investigation into 9/11 was the Report Of The Joint Inquiry Into The Terrorist Attacks Of September 11, 2001 –By The House Permanent Select Committee On Intelligence And The Senate Select Committee On Intelligence.

But when this investigation found out that the plan to fly planes into buildings was known about for years, and the CIA had these terrorists under surveillance more than a year before 9/11 and were being assisted by Saudi Arabia Intelligence assets and U.S. Intelligence assets, Bush stepped in and said the investigation is over, I'll appoint the head of a brand new investigation that will cover all that up. Don't believe it? Read it yourself. Here's the link.

And paragraphs such as the following, that describe how Bush refused to allow the landlord of the hijackers who just happened to be a U.S. intelligence asset who was working with a known Saudi Arabian Intelligence asset who were both assisting hijackers known by the CIA to be terrorists since early 2000....well Bush said you can't talk to him and your investigation is over, time for a cover-up investigation. Tin foil hat stuff? It's all in the original investigation. Deal with it! Here I'll help you, it's on page 51/838

"The Administration has to date objected to the Inquiry’s efforts to interview the informant in order to attempt to resolve those inconsistencies. The Administration also would not agree to allow the FBI to serve a Committee subpoena and deposition notice on the informant. Instead, written interrogatories from the Joint Inquiry were, at the suggestion of the FBI, provided to the informant. Through an attorney, the informant has declined to respond to those interrogatories and has indicated that, if subpoenaed, the informant would request a grant of immunity prior to testifying."

The 9/11 commission was a cover-up investigation that among other coverups said Saudi Arabia had nothing to do with 9/11 and didn't assist anyone. It wasn't the original investigation and neither was NIST.

NIST was the cover-up investigation of the WTC. Despite this report I showed earlier being on their own website...

They don't want to talk about it and never followed up on it. They are telling you there was no melted steel. And their explanation for the collapse that killed almost all those victims at the WTC on 9/11? They have no explanation, and don't think you or anyone else deserve one.

"As we mentioned previously, we are unable to provide a full explanation of the total collapse."

So what could explain a total collapse of the WTC towers? According to the head engineer who built them, not planes but explosives. He's no longer with us but he had this to say in 1993 after the first attack on the towers...

Twin Towers Engineered To Withstand Jet Collision

"We looked at every possible thing we could think of that could happen to the buildings, even to the extent of an airplane hitting the side," said John Skilling, head structural engineer."

"Skilling, based in Seattle, is among the world's top structural engineers. He is responsible for much of Seattle's downtown skyline and for several of the world's tallest structures, including the Trade Center."

"Skilling's people did an analysis that showed the towers would withstand the impact of a Boeing 707."

"Our analysis indicated the biggest problem would be the fact that all the fuel (from the airplane) would dump into the building. There would be a horrendous fire. A lot of people would be killed," he said. "The building structure would still be there."

"However," he added, "I'm not saying that properly applied explosives - shaped explosives - of that magnitude could not do a tremendous amount of damage."

Although Skilling is not an explosives expert, he says there are people who do know enough about building demolition to bring a structure like the Trade Center down.

"I would imagine that if you took the top expert in that type of work and gave him the assignment of bringing these buildings down with explosives, I would bet that he could do it."

I bet he's right.

Good odds

And a good read.
