The perps of 9/11 knew they could get away with it for as long as they have because they knew the average citizen was this ignorant.
It's not the average citizens' fault entirely though. They know who Brittney's ex-husband is but not what the bill of rights is because (a) the media only exists to dumb down the population, not enlighten and (b) "education" and "learning" are still largely considered uncool and for the nerds.
