Poll over at Daily Kos

As many of us are aware, the Daily Kos is one of those supposedly "progressive" websites which puts an outright ban on 9/11 truth. No doubt in my mind that many of those people are CIA or some variant.

Today, "TylerFromNE" posted a diary entry imploring Daily Kos to reconsider its position. In addition, he posted a poll:

Is it time for DKos to stop arbitrarily silencing discussion of 9/11 so-called "conspiracy theories," given that the government is now irrefutably involved in a cover-up of the financing of the attacks?

Here's the current result (it might be locked now, I don't know):

63% 259 votes
33% 139 votes
I don't care what you say, it's still too much for me to accept that conspiracies actually do exist.
2% 11 votes

| 409 votes

So it appears that even their own readership disagrees with their anti-9/11 policy.

At the end of the thread of 301 comments, a chief admin, "Meteor Blade," made this following post:

You are suspended from Daily Kos for one week. Posting another 9/11 conspiracy diary will result in a permanent ban.

What cowards and traitors. This "Meteor Blade" character is every bit as guilty as Donald Rumsfeld in 9/11 crimes IMO. Does anyone know the real life identity of "Meteor Blade" so that a chapter of WAC can confront him/her?

It was so beautiful to see Michele Malkin get ambushed.

You mean...

We're winning yet ANOTHER poll? Haven't we won them all?

Do these people deserve to know how and why their loved ones were murdered? Do we deserve to know how and why 9/11 happened?

Why Bother with Daily KOS? Isn't it CIA Mockingbird?

Why bother? The very definition of gate-keeper. CIA-ties?

Some very good reasons we should bother with KOS

There are some very good reasons we should bother with KOS, using guerrilla tactics against a strong and well financed foe:
1 - They have a large readership; I suspect some are from the mainstream media
2 - You should endeavor to take the fight to the enemy, then fade away when they counter-attack
3 - We can reach many more eyes if we can get things such as this onto KOS, presumably by stealth
4 - They can ban an account, they can delete the post, but the message will have been seen
5 - If it is a well-crafted message, it will make some people think
6 - Not all of those reading KOS are part of the club, they are not all KOSsacks; they may just be strolling past

I intend to expose the above post to my readership. I suggest others do the same. We win by increments. Maybe some day we will will by an exponential growth factor.

You mentioned the media criminal Michelle Malkin...

Near Plano, Texas at the famous Southfork Ranch (Dallas TV Show), the media criminal who helped to influence the deaths of many innocent people by her lies, Michelle Malkin, is scheduled to appear on July 4th in a so-called "America's Tea Party". http://dallasteaparty.org/2009/06/americasteaparty/

A week later, (on July 11th), just a few miles west from Southfork Ranch, North Texans for 9/11 Truth will be shouldering an event designed to help save lives. "WHAT YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO KNOW ABOUT 9/11: Building 7 - Gone in 7" http://upcoming.yahoo.com/event/2744396 Even the well-known "D-Magazine" has this event listed. 60 second RADIO AD http://community2.myfoxdfw.com/_60seconds-Dont-Miss-This-EVENT-/audio/46...

Markos (Kos) admitted to interviewing with the CIA for 6 months

Markos (Kos) admitted to interviewing with the CIA for 6 months to be a clandestine operative. (Google for the audio)

"Judge a tree from its fruit, not from its leaves."

The use of polls seems to get past the thugs and censors over there.

There have been multiple purges at Daily Kos and still the people call for 9/11 truth.

We are winning. We have numbers.

Time to reach out to even more people.

Getting the facts in front of Daily Kos

& nothing else would be very good for the 9.11 truth movement. Maybe it's time to have an adult conversation.

" the government is now

" the government is now irrefutably involved in a cover-up of the financing of the attacks?"

can Tyler document that in some way? Someone get back to me ok?

Here are the Documents on Saudi Royal Funding of al-Qaeda

TylerFromNE cites the below in his article:

"Documents Back Saudi Link to Extremists," Eric Lichtblau, New York Times, June 23, 2009 http://www.nytimes.com/2009/06/24/world/middleeast/24saudi.html

"Evidence of Financial Links Between Saudi Royal Family and Al Qaeda," New York Times http://documents.nytimes.com/evidence-of-financial-links-between-saudi-r...

The item above is the documment supplement to the New York Times article, which contains four documents on this matter. Since the New York Times doesn't present these documents in a manner that's easy for most people to save a copy on their hard drives, I went ahead and downloaded all the GIF images of the documents from the range you see above (0001.gif to 0109.gif), which is all the images. Nothing has been done to the GIF files, so they are bit-identical to what's on the New York Times website.

Below are mirrors where this can be downloaded:

Interesting tactic

This is an interesting tactic. I think its unintentional though. Honestly, this diary on DailyKos is marginal at best. Jumping from Saudi financing straight to full fledged anti denial speech in the same breath looks bad. And that is probably why the diary stood for so long. I think that in this case any info is good info because when people think they have the better of a 'CTer' then theyre easier to shock out of it later. So well done.
Every bit as guilty as Donald Rumsfeld... ha now its sure he is a gatekeeper with a closed mind, but please, Donald Rumsfeld ordered torture!

Disconnect between the poll and the comments

The poll is clearly showing endorsement of the article. The results a few minutes ago were: Yes 296, No 31, I don't care 13.

The comments are generally against the author, and quite fascistic in nature.

Make you wonder how anyone could imagine that it was a liberal site, based on the comments. Some are probably shills. Some are probably just rude and arrogant. Some post over and over, as on any site.

This suggests something about liberal readership overall

Concerning the discrepancy between poll and comments: I was thinking the same thing as you, Mike. Rather puzzling. It makes one wonder how much censorship goes on there.

Extrapolating regarding other liberal sites, one might also wonder if the general liberal readership is more informed than their editors would have us believe.

Another reason for real hope.

That number 31 above should have been 143, which is 31%.

I've been banned multiple times from kos

Permanently. heheheh.
I just re-register with a different e-mail and username every once in a while and post 9/11 facts there.
I get banned every time. But so what. Getting banned from a hole like kos is no big deal.
Maybe a "truth-bomb" can be organized for kos.
Every day have 10 people register there.
It takes a week after registering to be able to post a diary.
By the time the diaries start there'll be 70 people registered with 10 more every day after that.

and Crooks and Liars

another blog that needs some targeted commenting is Crooks and Liars. John Amato has a no-anti-govt 9-11 policy there as well.

they have a regular writer, Dave Neiwert who just has a fetish for writing against those in the freedom/patriot/constitutional movement. And he sure has a focus on right-wing terrorists, he just refuses to recognize 9-11 as a right-wing plot as well.

John Amato.

I was a long time poster at Crooks and Liars. I got away with a lot for a long time. But finally they banned me. I encourage everyone here to push the envelope over there. Their readers were smart and the commenting was easy. I liked it originally because you didn't have to register to comment, but that has now since changed. Just whatever. Keep pushing the facts in new areas. I used to try to relate whatever the story they were posting on back to the basics. The War in Iraq, would always go back to the historical starts of wars and the use of false flag terror etc. You know how to connect the dots etc. Peace. And I am still pissed off at Crooks and Liars. They need pushing. Especially at their nightly open threads.

Reading the comments there

Reading the comments there was pretty disheartening and scary. A good friend of mine loves to think as "critically" like that. He's recently stated that all journal of 911 studies papers cannot be taken seriously because they all have an inherent conflict of interest because they cite their own research in the development of these papers. He does not see a connection between nano-thermite and controlled demolition, considering two entirely separate entities. I showed him the Harrit interview and he demanded that Harrit should have known exactly how the nano-thermite was implemented and put in place. Harrit's brought in by pallets comment brought total disrepute and invalidation of the controlled demolition hypothesis according to him. Sometimes I feel like I'm going crazy. I look at those towers coming down, disintegrating in mid-air mind you, at nearly free fall speed and my immediate response is that is not natural. For me it comes down to common sense. What do you observe. But the world around me keeps telling me that 2 + 2 = 5.

"But the world around me keeps telling me that 2 + 2 = 5."
Orwell's 1984 becomes more relevant all the time.
It's hard not to go crazy when you're fighting groupthink with common sense, evidence and facts.

I really feel you are wasting useful energy on Kos

He's never going to change the ban policy. He's personally invested way too much energy and personal reputation in it.

Use that energy on other things. Whole new mass media structures will be built, fall, and be built anew before Kos allows

a positive 9/11 post on that blog.

You'll have more luck building the next CBS News. And more money.

You're partly correct - look what dailykos did to Cindy Sheehan

The War Party and its Faux-gressive Minions by Cindy Sheehan

Faux-gressives MoveOn.org and The Daily Kos supported me, and my work, as long as it solely focused on the Bush regime and the Republicans. However, when I had a late in life epiphany and figured out that the Democrats were abusing the energy of the anti-war movement to regain power, and I started to speak out against the entire War Party, not just one-half of it, I was kicked off blogging for The Daily Kos and ostracized by the fully co-opted MoveOn.org. Nathan Diebenow of the Lonestar Iconoclast then accused me of "alienating" my friends, to add insult to injury.

Even so, dailykos is NOT just Markos Moulitsas. And, unlike 99% of MSM, which won't allow serious coverage and debate of 911 issues, it seems that you can slip in some serious 911 info and arguments.

The 911 Truth movement should be educating the public about not just 911, but other false flag operations, and the corruption of the media. That includes the netroots media, but I would caution against pushing a theory that you can't prove conclusively to explain it. E.g., it's clear from what dailykos did to Sheehan that they can't stand some people who have damning things to say about Democrats, even absent a focus on things 911.

To those people who seem sure that Markos works for the CIA:

Stating inferences - even ones that seem overwhelmingly likely to the person doing the talking - as facts is a common problem of humanity. But note that so-called "debunkers" do this all the time* , also, and you don't want to look as irrational as them.... It's OK to infer things, just make sure you don't misrepresent your inference or theory as a fact.

* As well as regularly fail to make inferences that a 10-year-is capable of making. I call this phenomenon an "abortive thought process".

Excellent comment

There is always value in exposing the blatant gatekeepers to the general public.

Just do it in a civil way.

From their FAQ:

Controversial 9/11 Diaries

DailyKos accepts that the 9/11 attacks were perpetrated by agents of Al-Qaeda. It is forbidden to write diaries that:

1. refer to claims that American, British, Israeli, or any government assisted in the attacks
2. refer to claims that the airplanes that crashed into the WTC and Pentagon were not the cause of the damage to those buildings or their subsequent collapse.

Authoring or recommending these diaries may result in banning from Daily Kos.

The conspiracists by kos

Fri Jul 08, 2005

Today I did something I've never done before (not even during the Fraudster mess), and wish I'd never had to do.

I made a mass banning of people perpetuating a series of bizarre, off-the-wall, unsupported and frankly embarassing conspiracy theories.

I have a high tolerance level for material I deem appropriate for this site, but one thing I REFUSE to allow is bullshit conspiracy theories. You know the ones -- Bush and Blair conspired to bomb London in order to take the heat off their respective political problems. I can't imagine what fucking world these people live in, but it sure ain't the Reality Based Community.

So I banned these people, and those that have been recommending diaries like it. And I will continue to do so until the purge is complete, and make no mistake -- this is a purge.

This is a reality-based community. Those who wish to live outside it should find a new home. This isn't it.

Update: I've been reinstating some of the banned accounts as they email me. Some people wondered why there wasn't any warning. There have been warnings from others -- repeated pleadings for people to ground themselves in reality.

It's telling that I have NEVER done something like this before. Because this has been an extreme situation. This isn't about disagreeing with what people are saying. If that was the case, everyone would've been banned by now. The myth of the "echo chamber" is just that. A myth.

But as for warnings, well, this has been my warning. I wanted it clear that I was serious, and I think that has come through. I am reinstating those who ask to be reinstated. But the message has been sent.

DailyKos = Physics Free Community

DailyKos = Logic Free Community

DailyKos = Denial Based Community

I really hope I meet this guy sometime, I could have so much fun with him.

The truth shall set us free. Love is the only way forward.

All I can say is...

...if he's ever around my area, WeAreChange Ohio will have some real fun with him.

Their description

I checked out the official facebook page of the DK. Here is part of their description:

Daily Kos is the premier political community in the United States, with traffic of about 600,000 daily visits. Among luminaries posting diaries on the site are President Jimmy Carter, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, and dozens of other senators, congressmen, and governors. But, even more exciting than that, tens of thousands of regular Americans have used Daily Kos to lend their voice to a political world once the domain of the rich, connected, and powerful.

So Mockingbird it ain't funny.
