On April 4th, 2004, my son Casey was killed serving the United States Army in Iraq during the illegal occupation started by the Bush Administration.
That illegal occupation was made possible because of the attacks that took place on September 11th, 2001, resulting in the deaths of 2,973 people.
Since that horrid day, victims' family members have been doing everything within their power to seek justice and accountability for what happened, with little to no success. It is shameful that almost 8 years after the fact, they have been denied this. The official 9/11 commission report was a sham and a mockery of justice, not justice.
Currently, there is an effort underway in New York City to get a new investigation onto the ballot by this November. The New York City Coalition for Accountability Now (www.nyccan.org) is currently attempting to get enough signatures to make this happen, and they need your help. I wholeheartedly support and endorse this effort.

Cindy is stellar! That was a great day in Dallas about a month ago when Cindy was here despite the heat. Josh, you spent a lot of time visiting with Cindy, plus you also looked out for her welfare. Joe gave her a bundle of DVDs! There were many 9/11 Truthers marching that day to Bush's neighborhood. The Press was out in droves.

but in the brief conversation I had with Cindy I told her the Anti-war/Peace movement had been co-opted to be ineffectual since the sixties (she agreed) and to be effective 9/11 Truth stood a chance. But she had already written Myth America which concluded with # Myth Ten: 19 Muslims with box cutters were responsible for 9/11

Great breakthrough!
I always loved Cindy Sheehan; know I love her even more. I consider this a great breakthrough. Being united with the peace movement is crucial. This happens in spite of efforts from certain agents provocateurs/COINTELPRO. (http://arabesque911.blogspot.com/2007/09/webster-tarpley-arabesque-cosmo...).
Perhaps I'm wrong, but I believe that the great difference between Cindy and other prominent progressives is that she is not in career at all; i.e. the others seem to be dependent on officialdom for making a living.
Cindy will need a lot of support now.

Over 70,000 New Yorkers have signed the petition, and 80 9/11 Family Members have endorsed it (up from 53 three weeks ago), including the famous "Jersey Girls." Noted individuals such as 9/11 Whistleblower and Time's Person of the Year, Coleen Rowley, as well as Peace Activist Cindy Sheehan have endorsed this effort. The mainstream media has completely and totally ignored this "newsworthy" event. The reason I am writing is to ask, no beg, that you cover this extremely important story. It has been 8 years since that horrid day, and there has been no accountability, and no justice. Especially to those victims' family members that have seen the names of their loved ones used to start illegal pre-emptive wars, take away our civil liberties, bankrupt this country, and expand Executive power to the point of no accountability. Please do the right thing, and cover this extremely important story.
