Oliver Stone: JFK and the Unspeakable

Posted: July 23, 2009

The murder of President Kennedy was a seminal event for me and for millions of Americans. It changed the course of history. It was a crushing blow to our country and to millions of people around the world. It put an abrupt end to a period of a misunderstood idealism, akin to the spirit of 1989 when the Soviet bloc to began to thaw and 2008, when our new American President was fairly elected.

Today, more than 45 years later, profound doubts persist about how President Kennedy was killed and why. My film JFK was a metaphor for all those doubts, suspicions and unanswered questions. Now an extraordinary new book offers the best account I have read of this tragedy and its significance. That book is James Douglass's JFK and the Unspeakable: Why He Died and Why It Matters. It is a book that deserves the attention of all Americans; it is one of those rare books that, by helping us understand our history, has the power to change it...

People like...

Dr. Peter Dale Scott have been "speaking" it for years. I once heard someone say, "I've been a 9/11 Truther since JFK was assassinated."

Do these people deserve to know how and why their loved ones were murdered? Do we deserve to know how and why 9/11 happened?

This is why

I consider 11/22/63 just as important as 9/11/2001. Meria Heller in her keynote address in Chicago said that if you don't understand 11/22/63 you will never understand 9/11/2001. ..."Why does it matter? The death of JFK remains a critical turning point in our history. Those who caused his death were targeting not just a man but a vision -- a vision of peace. There is no calculating the consequences of his death for this country and for the world. Those consequences endure. To a large extent, the fate of our country and the future of the planet continue to be controlled by the shadowy forces of what Douglass calls "the Unspeakable." Only by unmasking these forces and confronting the truth about our history can we restore the promise of democracy and lay claim to Kennedy's vision of peace."....This is why we 9/11 truthers must never quit until we win this thing. The future of our planet depends on it. This may be the most important post ever on 911Blogger.com

the following book review:
Guilt by Association: How Deception and Deceit Took America to War by Jeff Gates (2008)

I am wondering if the “shadowy forces” in Douglass’ book are linked to the “nefarious criminal syndicate” in the Gates book. It looks like I have some reading to do.

A review of Guilt by Association: How Deception and Deceit Took America to War by Jeff Gates (2008)

I highly recommend reading the complete review here:

Excerpts from review:

“In order to overcome an enemy we must first understand who and what he is, what his purpose is, how he operates. It is the great value of Guilt by Association that it brings out into bold relief the nature, identity, methodology and support system of this nefarious criminal syndicate; what has been “hidden in plain sight” for so long is finally made accessible to any open-minded reader.”

“Even more nuanced is this author's concept of “fields within fields,” which I do not hope to be able to fully convey in this limited review. Much of the book is spent demonstrating how this syndicate “operates with a common criminal focus coordinated around a shared ideology.” It is difficult not to think about the enigmatic Kennedy assassination when we read: “ Evidentiary trails in this area seldom run in straight lines...Also, 'prepare-the-minds' incidents, events and relationships are often pre-staged over lengthy time periods, making barriers to transparency even more daunting.” How much more difficult to face down an enemy that uniquely entrenches itself in four dimensions. “...(S)yndicate operations are diffused and sustained in 'fields within fields...within fields' of relationships that stretch across time, distance and both major political parties. This field-based structure enables systemic criminality to proceed in plain view and oftentimes with only modest coordination around shared goals.” The subtlety of such an enemy is almost as breath-taking as this author's ability to describe it in words. Yet until we arrive at this conceptual clarity, we remain enmeshed in this enemy's grip. This idea of fields within fields will not be new to those who have read Michael Collins Piper's classic study of the Kennedy Assassination, Final Judgment, but Gates' crisp formulation of it here will fortify the understanding of even the most advanced conspiracy cognoscente.

Nice to see Huffington Post...

Take on these issues.

We need to keep pushing them over there. We might have more of an ally at times than we realize.

The Mauser 7.65 rifle

The weapon found in the sniper's nest was initially identified as a German Mauser 7.65 rifle. Deputy Sheriff Roger Craig and fellow law enforcement officer Weitzman, a weapon's expert, found the rifle in the Texas School Book Depository. This was the official story for 2 days and was broadcast by Kronkite and others. Then the story suddenly changes and the rifle becomes an Italian Manlicher Carcano, which matches Oswald's rifle that he had famously posed with. But Craig said they clearly read "Mauser 7.65" on the barrel-- and he seems very truthful to me.

Unidentified fingerprints found on boxes in the sniper's nest were later confirmed to be that of LBJ's hitman, Malcolm "Mac" Wallace. Seems to me that Wallace was the shooter in the Book Depository using the Mauser. (Other shooters at the Knoll). The Mauser was then "disappeared" and the Carcano was substituted to make the tie to Oswald.

Check out Kronkite calling the weapon:

Yes, the media manipulation of the JFK event

is a primer for understanding how they have managed 9/11.

Here is the local news "nobody" Dan Rather telling an outrageous lie about the contents of the Zapruder film, five years before the public will have any means of calling him on it. "The head goes FORWARD with considerable violence":

Notice he repeats it for emphasis. He does not mispeak. Who ordered him to tell this lie? Why did he agree?

Notice also that his description of JFK being hit in the neck and then Connally being hit as two separate events is accurate, suggesting the 3-shot template (including a miss) had not yet been settled.

Rather and his peers are fully involved in the media censorship of 9/11:

"... and 2008, when our new American President was fairly elected."

Oh wow, Oliver Stone implies that Obama is a man of the people. I stopped reading right there.

Oliver isn't the quickest study, but his heart's in right place.

According to wikipedia...

Stone volunteered in 1967 to join the Army and serve in Vietnam in the infantry 2 years after he had already been in S. Vietnam for 6 months to teach English.

Repeat that... Oliver Stone was in S. Vietnam for 6 months to teach English in 1965. Stone still thought it was a good idea in 1967 to volunteer for the Army and specifically request infantry duty in Vietnam.

I watched the Warren Commission apologists descend

within minutes of Stone's posting this.

SOP: "conspiracy theorist" lunacy; Posner and Bugliosi got it right. Nothing to see here.

4. In private to media discussions not directed at any particular writer, or in attacking publications which may be yet forthcoming, the following arguments should be useful:…

Reviewers of other books might be encouraged to add to their account the idea that, checking back with the report itself, they found it far superior to the work of its critics."
