Manny is a great American. And a great guy to meet!
On a frigid cold Saturday after New Years day this year I searched to find the group that stands at ground zero each Saturday to give out literature and information. Manny and others volunteer their time every week. I'm from a small town in NC and desperately needed to meet the real heroes of this movement, as I feel so very isolated where I live. I found the group, huddled in the cold on a corner by the WTC site.
Meeting Manny was a great experience. We talked for hours, finally going into a restaurant to warm up and talk more. He is passionate but grounded. As you can hear on the interview, he is very articulate. But mostly he is just a very friendly guy. What a wonderful person to head up this, the most important initiative going on today in the 9/11 movement.
Manny, if you see this, thanks for that great day, and good luck.
I am still going bonkers down here in my small town, unable to regularly meet up with others who feel as I do.
I'd love to get up there again one day and meet with you and your friends again. You guys give me some hope for America!
