Cartoonist Michael Ramirez: abusing 9/11 to justify torture

Tsk tsk! Such jingoist fervor and enthusiasm! But: "enhanced interrogation" of whom? Binyam Mohamed? Christopher Hitchens? Children, perhaps? You seem confused, Michael. Maybe a German philosopher, international law and the 9/11 truth movement can help unconfuse you.

This is really bad

but at least he shows the towers correct, smoking not burning.

Can bear to torture aught below,
Is ever first to quail and start
From the slightest pain or equal foe.

Would Michael Ramirez envisage that Bush gang be tortured?

bonjour ,
personnaly I am moralement against torture and as well as that torture is not an efficient way to get information.

Has Michael Ramirez ever posed the question and what if Bin Laden was not the mastermind behind 911. There are very much more likely suspects. Stand up Dick Cheney. As all the Bush gang could be behind the 911 attacks would Michael Ramirez envisage that Dick, George and all the other be tortured ?

9/11 Plotters Still Planning Attack Against U.S.: White House
08/11/09 02:35 am (EST)

(RTTNews) - Planners and executors of the September 11, 2001 attacks are still operating in the area and plotting fresh attacks against the United States, the White House said Monday, adding this is the reason why America continues to be in Afghanistan.

"We should keep in mind that the reason we are in Afghanistan is because the people who plotted and executed the attacks on 9/11 are still operating there and are plotting attacks against Americans even now," White House deputy press secretary Bill Burton told reporters abroad Air Force One traveling with U.S. President Barack Obama, en route to Andrews Air Force Base from a North American summit in Mexico.

Stating that Obama fully supports what the U.S. troops are doing in Afghanistan, he said the president feels that the troops in Afghanistan are operating under some of the most dangerous conditions in the world and they are doing it bravely and with a great amount of courage.

The new Afghanistan-Pakistan strategy announced in March this year is still to be fully implemented, he said, adding that Obama has a "winning" strategy and enough forces on the ground to achieve U.S. goals despite advances by the Taliban. He said the aim of the new strategy is to ensure the defeat of Taliban and Al-Qaida.

He said that Obama had authorized 21,000 new troops for Afghanistan since taking office in January and not all of these were on the ground yet.

Violence across the war-torn land-locked country this year had already touched its record levels since the Taliban were ousted by U.S.-led Afghan forces in 2001 and escalated dramatically after major offensives were launched in southern Helmand province in July.

Darn that Cheney!

If you're not outraged, you're not paying attention.

Considering that Osama bin

Considering that Osama bin Laden was "working for the US right up until 9/11", it would follow that the people in the US "for whom bin Laden was working" must have known something about "a plan to attack the WTC and Pentagon", that is, if bin Laden was involved. Either bin Laden was not in that loop, or "his work" involved something other than lobbing planes at buildings, or his work was exactly that: playing patsy for 9/11 in return for protective custody (that is, if he wasn't terminated right after 9/11).

That's outrageous

I hope you guys can send him some links related to "enhanced interrogation".
