September 10, 2009 will be a sad day in history for many of us who attend the University of Wyoming. On this day, the newly named Cheney International Center will be dedicated with Cheney present at the ceremony. The building houses the offices for the International Studies program, Study Abroad, and International Programs at the University of Wyoming. The naming of the building has caused anger and controversy throughout the state of wyoming and on the university campus. As a student of the International Studies program, it is an insult that the name of the building implies that our program sponsors Cheney's political ideology and foreign policy. Furthermore, the decision to dedicate the building on September 10th is extremely arrogant on the part of the administration of the University of Wyoming, especially to those of us who know the truth of 9/11. The dedication is scheduled to take place on September 10th at 10:30am in front of the Cheney International Center.
