We are one week away from the eighth anniversary of 9/11/2001. Eight years ago next Friday, our world changed.

There are many unanswered questions, and many people who won't rest until they get the answers. During the first hour of tonight's show, I'll speak with two of them.

Manny Badillo lost his uncle in the World Trade Center on 9/11. Janette Mackinlay lived right across the street from the twin towers, and was in her apartment when the planes hit, and blew her windows out... and lots of debris in.

Both are now involved with the NYC Coalition for Accountability Now (http://www.nyccan.org/)-- a non-partisan organization comprised of 9/11 families, survivors and concerned citizens committed to bringing about an independent, impartial investigation into the events of 9/11/01.

In hour two, we'll end a wonderful week broadcasting from Los Angeles with a fun look at the news of the week with Lisa Derrick, who writes the La Figa blog at FireDogLake. We'll also be joined by Amy Simon, writer/producer/performer of the longest running one-woman show in LA, Cheerios in My Underwear, who has a few things to say about back to school time....

I Love it When the Radio Host Knows & Speaks the TRUTH...

and this one does!

I'm listening now. Great Job Manny.

If Not Me? Who? If Not Now? When?

Yes, Great Host and Great Guest

Give Air America credit here-- they came through. Manny is a fantastic spokesperson and well-positioned as head of outreach for NYC CAN.

We could use another NY 9/11 Zogby Poll. (In 2004, 66% of New Yorkers supported a new investigation. What is it now?) Let's do it. I'll chip in.

Edit: I liked it when Manny said of his uncle and the mass murder, " his murder remains unsolved." I believe John Albanese used that term and I find it particularly compelling........ "9/11 UNSOLVED."

Everyone Listen to this Show
