If I’m successful in proving that the current US wars are TRAITOROUS, UN-AMERICAN, and COWARDLY, please take that description and run with it. Let’s look:

TRAITOROUS: The etymology of “treason” is the Latin “traditionem and traditio, a surrender of what is handed over or one’s tradition (tradition having an ironic doublet of the root). In US law, it is defined as “Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies.” What is the United States other than the US Constitution and our laws? If someone swears allegiance to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States and uses authority and force (levies) against the Constitution, that is rationally defined as treason. If acts against the Constitution cause US troops to be attacked, the meaning of treason has tangible war-like and enemy-like results against the United States.

I am among hundreds of journalists presenting the evidence to the American public that the US invasions of Iraq, Afghanistan, and rhetoric for war with Iran are illegal Wars of Aggression; the worst crime a nation can commit and the worst attack upon the letter and spirit of the US Constitution. The two rules for a legal invasion are intentionally simple: you have to be under attack or imminent threat, or authorized by the UN Security Council. Read here to prove beyond reasonable doubt that the US government “leadership” of both parties are guilty of violating the most important law for our nation to uphold. Violation of this law from people with allegiance to the United States that direclty causes the deaths of thousands of American soldiers is an attack upon our Constitution and country: treason.

This traitorous act has killed over 5,000 US troops and over 1,000,000 human beings in Iraq and Afghanistan. It would be conservative to multiply those numbers by ten to measure the people whose lives have been tragically and irreversible damaged from death and severe harm to loved-ones.

But let’s be clear through contrast. The antonym of treason is allegiance. When our “leaders” maliciously lie to spin Americans to support a clearly illegal war, this is not allegiance to the law or American values. And “lie” is the correct word because Congress has disclosed the actual evidence that our “leaders” had in their hands when they made their claims for war. Read here to verify.

Un-American: To continue our thinking, being American is a political distinction. The policies at the heart of being American are two documents: the US Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. These represent the letter and spirit of being American. The evidence is overwhelming that these wars violate the letter of the law. Let’s look at the spirit of being American: the Declaration of Independence.

I’ve written in detail here on the Declaration of Independence, and let's review the highlights: being American means standing for all human beings being equal under our Creator and under the law. They have inherent rights of their life from physical, political, and civil attack. The sole purpose of government is to PROTECT those rights, not attack them as the US government has done. The government has only the powers given to them by the people; that is, those limited by the Constitution. This means the government has zero authority to wage war outside of the legal limits of the Constitution and agreed by all civilized nations after two world wars. And finally, being American means that if governments violate their purpose and becomes destructive (war is the ultimate act of destruction) it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it.

In contrast, to be American means holding allegiance to the letter and spirit of the law. Unless you can argue that these wars are legal, they are by definition un-American. If you’d like to argue this point, first read here. Let's move forward to the spirit of Americans: courage, and contrast it with these cowardly wars.

Cowardly: This word means “a person who lacks courage in facing danger, difficulty, opposition, pain, etc.; a timid or easily intimidated person.” The etymology is “turning tail,” meaning not facing one’s challenges. Americans are not cowards; we face our challenges. Most Americans are motivated to be our best in the face of those who try to intimidate us. Real Americans embrace religious diversity; it is the spirit of being American and the letter of the 1st Amendment. Real Americans are not afraid of Islam; we understand that misguided Muslim fundamentalists who want to kill Americans are as prevalent as Christians who want to kill abortion doctors. Being afraid that Muslims want to kill Americans for being heretical is as rational as being afraid of Jews because they’re “Christ killers.” If you’re not clear about how most Muslims relate to their religion, you need to meet more Muslims.

The US attacked Iraq while they were being inspected for weapons they did not possess. Even if those specific biological and chemical weapons were found, all 16 US intelligence agencies officially evaluated those weapons as no threat to US national security. Pre-emptive attacks are murder. They are cowardly, especially against an unarmed opponent.

The US attacked Afghanistan while their government was volunteering to help find and extradite Osama bin Laden upon presentation of evidence that bin Laden was involved in any crime. The US refused and then invaded. This is murder. President Obama continues cowardice by promoting fear of Muslim fringe-fanatics while continuing the collateral murder of a million civilians and 5,000 US troops. Even if you believe the government self-study version of 9/11, the US government has killed more Americans than 9/11.

Ok, have I proved my case or do you have a stronger counter-argument to rationally present?

Below is a 6–minute video that is the most powerful and beautiful argument for Americans taking charge of our government again that I’ve found.
