This is a response to Dr. Griffin's article:

Osama Bin Laden: Dead or Alive?
http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article23691.htm

Oh Dr. Griffin--

You keep making avoidable mistakes and sabotaging your own credibility.

This article has two serious mistakes, that shouldn't be repeated ignorantly. They both go back to the "confession tape."

1) Griffin should know by now that the video was converted and so the aspect ratio was changed. The PAL (European standard) to NTSC (American standard) conversion squishes the vertical by 17%. This is the reason the "actor" did not appear to be Osama bin Laden. Once the video frames are converted back to their proper ratio, they appear to be exactly Osama bin Laden. This was while he was still alive in September or October of 2001.

Study this article carefully:

(Original webpage offline, but this pdf version includes the same material.)

2) Griffin falsely states:

"...besides the fact that bin Laden had nothing to do with 9/11..."

This is NOT a fact but Griffin's opinion. Griffin knows better than to claim his opinion as fact, so this is inexcusable.

That is no "fact" at all. What we know is that the government lied about the specifics. They lied about funding. They lied about numerous things. What bin Laden's ACTUAL role in any of this truly has yet to be determined. It sits in highly classified files which would implicate US "allies" in the 9/11 crime.

Hiding this information from the public is treason, it should be noted, as it gives "aid and comfort" to the "enemy."

Griffin has gone out on a limb to claim bin Laden is innocent of 9/11. What he should have done is point out that even if bin Laden was involved SO WERE THE INTELLIGENCE SERVICES OF SAUDI, PAK, ISRAEL, USA, and potentially others.

Bin Laden's involvement in no way exonerates high level US government personnel, or the governments of other nations who have a long history of ASSISTING bin Laden and "al Qaeda." This is a far more important issue than exploring endlessly the opinions about what bin Laden may or may not have done 8 years ago.

Griffin provides no email contact, and seriously, he should know better. These issues have been argued ad infinitum already. On other topics Griffin is far more credible as he explores all the possibilities without claiming his opinion as fact. In this case, he has slipped up.

Both links are bad.

I just sent you...

His email address.

Do these people deserve to know how and why their loved ones were murdered? Do we deserve to know how and why 9/11 happened?

Johndoraemi,

I relayed this to DRG.

In a nutshell his main points of response were (and I'm paraphrasing):

Your criticism is of little value because in your first point, you assume that DRG bases his negative judgment about the Jalalabad video just on the visual appearance of the video alone.

And your second point seems to ignore the FBI's own stance.

My thoughts, exactly...

as I was reading this post.

Dr. Griffin...

Refers to the man in the first confession video as "the person hired to play bin Laden." As John points out, it is most likely Bin Laden.

I responded to his article.

Maher Osseiran makes a pretty good case for the authenticity of the tape. If Griffin wants to claim his opinion as fact, he needs to take on Osseiran's analysis and refute it point by point.

And your second point seems to ignore the FBI's own stance.

Nonsense. Griffin stated his opinion as fact.

What the FBI was ordered to do or say is irrelevant. It's indicative of further problems, and a seperate issue, but it has no bearing on the question.

There are dozens of documented cases of interference from FBI headquarters in this case.

The official position of the FBI on 9/11 is not credible.

Bin Laden was not created on 9/11/01. He was a well known terrorist who had issued Fatwas calling for these sorts of actions. His connection to other bombings, for which the FBI does list him, is already established.

There is another video tape purportedly showing alleged hijackers at Bin Laden's training camp. For some reason this ended up in a British movie, but not on the US evening news.

The FBI comment, which Griffin seems to place a lot of faith, is simply the result of investigations being thwartted and blocked.

(I don't know why the text editor is messing up my hyperlinks either.)

But, I do recall "truth movement" not "opinion movement" nor "trust the FBI movement." If Griffin is writing the definitive book on Bin Laden's relation to 9/11, he has started off badly.

When Griffin exposes himself to easy criticism from the "debunkers" it hurts us all. It's counterproductive.
