Looks Like A Great Conference
Hope to hear updates from those who attend.
Sidenote: The attempts to marginalize the 9/11 Truth movement, whether by govt psy-ops or whaever, is known by most people here. One of the meme's the MSM uses is that 9/11 truth people is riddled with anti-semites. I have seen some comments recently that were boredrline in this area.
Please be more self aware of how words can be taken out of context and used to discredit 9/11 truth.
Michael Parenti won't mention 9/11 truth
I've listened to him quite a bit on FSTV.
For all his criticizing msm for their censorship of important new, Michael is doing the same, and knows it.
He has avoided and censored the evidence and truth of 9/11, helping to ensure that the American people never really understand the issues involved, knowing that if they did, they would REALLY demand changes, big time.
I don't get it. All the things that are wrong with our country/empire: the wars and occupations, loss of rights, all of it would be helped by exposing 9/11, but Michael won't go there.
Something very odd is going on with the leaders of the progressives, all of whom avoid and even mock, the 9/11 movement: Michael Parenti, Noam Chomsky, Howard Zinn, Amy Goodman, Joshua Holland, Juan Gonzales, Justin Raimondo, Alexander Cockburn, and on and on.
They all know the official story of 9/11 is a lie. They all know how important it is for the US people to understand that. They all know that thousands of Americans and hundreds of thousands of innocent Middle Easterners are being slaughtered because of our misunderstanding of 9/11.
Andy yet they do nothing. They are accomplices to some of the most horrific crimes of the modern era.
How do they lives with themselves.
Something is going on and we need to definitively find out just what it is.
How do they live with themselves?
That is a darn good question. The only answer I can come up with is that they are being blackmailed. Threats against their family and or friends. Sure they all know 9/11 was an inside job. These are not stupid people. I just wish they would grow some balls and tell the truth. I don't care. If I was a famous person I would be screaming "9/11 was an inside job!!!" I don't give a hoot what they would do to me or my family. This is too important an issue. The fate of the entire planet hangs in the balance. This just might be the most important issue of all time!
One word
The resistance people have to adopting a 911 truth position can be summed up in one word -- fear -- and it takes on a variety of forms with a variety of people. For some of those who should know and probably do know, this can be expanded to cowardice. For others it's simply fear of ridicule, fear of losing a job, and fear of a country being led by traitors and not knowing what to do about it. I think we would be far better off helping people work through their fears than we would attacking them for it.

Didn't Parenti write the foreword to Barrie Zwicker's 'Towers of Deception'? Or am I mistaken?
I've certainly not read or heard anything from him disdaining the 9/11 truth movement, a la Chomsky, Cockburn, or Raimondo.
You are right...........the fate of the world...........
rests on this issue.
We have gigantic issues that the world needs to confront honestly and openly.
Things like global warming, loss of fresh water, overpopulation, nuclear and other poisons, loss of topsoil and forests and species and so much more.
As long as the press can be locked down on certain subjects by the elites and corporate and financial power structure, we are toast. Nothing will be known or accomplished that does not serve those interests.
Toast.
And that is how Noam and Amy and Michael and Justin and Joshua Holland and the rest are aiding the censorship of the press and leading us to the toaster.
Yes, we must be nice. But we cannot back off from INSISTING that the truth be told, always.

Deep politics is a phrase coined by researcher and academic Peter Dale Scott, right? If he attends the conference he will surely bring up 9-11 truth seeking. If he is not invited to it, that will tell us something.
He's planning on being there.
Certainly one of the most articulate, thoughtful and perceptive individuals to question the official story. I listened to a long lecture about Cheney's movements on 911 and was completely impressed with the analytic powers of the PDS mind! Hoping to attend the conference but it's still a long shot.

the comment below about "they know their place" is pretty good. But I think the thing to remember - as the great philosopher Hegel said - history progresses by the negative. By which he meant that through all the tragedy and betrayal the world at least gains clarity. So 9-11 and the responses we see all add to clarity and division - the wheat from the chaff. Don't be discouraged just be disillusioned in the positive sense of the word.

I couldn't agree more with your sidenote. Every six months or so they pull out that card. Their strategy is obvious. We need to be ultra-cautious about speculation and accusations that could be construed as antisemitic.
It is not anti-jewish to criticize Zionism
I abhor attacks on people or groups simply on the grounds of religion or ethnicity. Regardless, it is not anti-jewish to criticize Zionism, nor to criticize Israel, any more than it is anti-Christian or anti-Anglo-Saxon to criticize the Bush family or the American Empire and culture of exceptionalism.
Those involved in the movement to boycott and divest from Israel have to fight this fight on a routine basis. I am part of that community.
It is also certain that there was very clear and unarguable foreknowledge of 9/11 by some Israeli officials. This is a matter of public record, both on American Television and Israeli television. This is sometimes called the business of the dancing Israelis. The precise role of Israeli intelligence, military and government is certainly not clear, and may never be clear. What is clear that they played some role. It is NOT racist to say this, and I object to any such characterization.
I understand that certain element in the Jewish community regard this as an attack on them because of race and religion. That is regrettable, but understandable. So, do we not call a out the truth as we see it because of sensitivities on the part of some? Is it not at LEAST as anti-semitic to ascribe 9/11 to Arabs? Why is this observation never voiced?
So, we certainly need to be aware of the potential impact, the potential blow back against 9/11 truth, and the potential for true racists to come out of the closet. However, we must also go where the evidence leads us, and I will not be silent on this.
The left which is silent on
The left which is silent on 9/11 either believes in the blow back story or they are understandably scared for their lives. If you consider that the perps got away with this so far and that included murder of three thousand people without even skipping a beat... those who realize this and feel that they could represent a real threat to the 9/11 Myth realize that they could be dead in a heartbeat.
The Truth movement is not taken seriously, in fact most are ridiculed and so its leaders are not a threat to the perps... and they are certainly not going to off the small fries.
There are too many weird things about 9/11 for any intelligent person who has looked at it to accept the 9/11 Myth. But who ever pulled it off has enormous power of intimidation and that's blocking any progress into standing up the truth.

It makes you wonder......our leaders must know something we don't about who really rules the place..........I call it the second level of waking up.......first you can't believe that they have pulled off this thing...........and second you realize that lots of, if not most of our "leaders" or " representatives" already know it's a lie and are not going to do anything about it. ( start twilight zone theme music now)

We cannot fully investigate 9/11 if we first decide not to investigate people with ties to other countries.
We must, of course, be respectful of all ethnic and religious traditions and never generalize.
