September 9^th Resonates around the World

On September 9, a major press conference was held by AE911Truth at the National Press Club in Washington, DC. Yet, this was only one of a series of important presentations and activities by Richard Gage, AIA, and volunteers who traveled to Washington, DC, and New York City in conjunction with the 9-year anniversary of September 11, 2001.

The milestone press release was delivered to more than 200 media groups at the NPC, bringing awareness that now more than 1,300 architects and engineers are calling for a new investigation into 9/11. The text of that press release is contained in the accompanying article, “Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth Announces Hard Evidence of Explosive Demolition of World Trade Center High-Rises on 9/11.” Also on the same day, AE911Truth press conferences were held in 67 locations in the United States and Internationally in Canada, New Zealand, Australia and Spain.

This included local events in 29 states and 2 Canadian provinces. Notes David Slesinger, leader of AE911Truth’s Congressional Outreach Team, “back in February we had press conferences in just 16 states…We almost doubled that this time.” Television stations aired coverage of these local events in Arizona and New York.

The concept for the event at the NPC came out of a chance meeting between Slesinger and Ralph Nader, who brought up the idea as an important part of our efforts to reach out to members of Congress. One of the most notable, and surprising, things to happen at the event came during the Q&A period, when the highly respected, long-time civil rights activist Dick Gregory addressed the attendees and announced that he was embarking on a two-year liquid fast to raise awareness for the need for a new investigation of 9/11.  At one point Mr. Gregory levied humor on the skeptics in the audience, noting “my truth does not need to be validated by your ignorance.”

Looking back on the success of these events and the opportunities for further advancement of the mission of AE911Truth, Slesinger makes clear that much more still needs to be done. “We need people to visit staffers of local members of Congress and the Senate now, before mid-October. The main thing we want people to do when they visit the Congressperson’s office is to show the 10 minute 9/11: Blueprint for Truth DVD.”

There are just a few main steps that we are asking all of our supporters to take with their representatives:

1.       Show the 10 minute DVD
2.       Ask to have someone of scientific competence with whom to dialogue
3.       Present our “Concise WTC 7 question” dealing with free-fall acceleration to that person
4.       Follow-up, follow-up, and follow-up
