Ahmadinejad launches probe into truth behind 9/11
Thursday, October 14, 2010, 10:45 [IST]
.
Beirut, Oct 14: Reiterating his contention that the 9/11 attacks were orchestrated, the President of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has announced the launch of a probe into the Sep 11 'events'.

“I announce that the formation of an independent and neutral team to examine the facts and discover the truth of the September 11 events is the demand of all the peoples of the region and the world," Ahmadinejad said at a rally here on Wednesday, Oct 13 night, reported The Telegraph.

The President, on a visit to Lebanon, toured Shia Muslim strongholds of south Beirut, the report added.

Ahmadinejad has, several times, in the past argued that the Sep 11, 2001 attacks were not what the United States makes it look like.
.
Ahmadinejad's assertion of the same at the UN General Assembly, prompted the US as well as the United Kingdom to stage a walk out in Sep 2010.
.
The Iranian president claimed "most nations" believed the US government was behind the Sep 11 attacks, citing a theory "that some segments within the US government orchestrated the attack to reverse the declining American economy, and its grips on the Middle East, in order to save the Zionist regime."
.
"The majority of the American people as well as most nations and politicians around the world agree with this view," he added.
.
Even before his statement at the United Nations, Ahmadinejad had made the same claim in March 2010 two days ahead of his official trip to Afghanistan.
.
The Iranian state media had quoted him as saying that the 9/11 attacks were a "big lie" intended to pave the way for the invasion of a war-torn nation.

Maybe his threats of a 9/11 investigation is the cause of this:

bonjour,
if Ahmadinejad contacts me to work with him on the 911 truth I am ready to work with him. We in France need his help to form a group to investigated the 911 attacks 2001 on America.

You can be sure as a ex Scottish I have my independance and the truth is my only interest.

Yours

John

It seems the people in France have been very active........

..........in the 9/11 truth movement. Great!

How has your media there treated the evidence and groups of 9/11 truth?

Still very hard to ask questions on 911 without being insulted

The media in France treats very badly the French that asks questions on 911. Some journalists have lost there jobs (Grégoire Deniau et Bertrand Coq) or had problems with their superiors ( Thierry Ardisson , Karl Zero , ... )
http://www.reopen911.info/News/2008/09/22/le-11-septembre-de-france-24/

In April 2002, the higher Council of audio-visual (CSA) wrote to France Televisions after the passage of Thierry Meyssan in an emission of Thierry Ardisson to reproach the absence of critique to Meyssan's theories. Copy this letter was addressed to all the audio-visual medias under convention. Since, Meyssan has never been invited any more on a French channel
http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thierry_Meyssan

Aymeric Chauprade, military professor of geopolitiques at the" Collège interarmées de défense" was sacked for his questions on 9/11.

However since the hate campaign against the Islam last 11September 2010, there has been a backfire that has liberated the Muslims of their guilt complex and the more we here the Muslims did not do 911 the easier it is to asks questions with out being insulted, etc

This is not good for our movement

If you think that most people in this country and the world will see his investigation as non-bias or independent you are not correct. If most Americans view truthers in the same school as Ahmadinejad, 9/11 Truth takes a massive blow to our credibility. Ahmadinejad spews so much non-sense and extremism mixed with a few facts, that it's hard for me to see how anyone intellectual would give credibility to an investigation he launches. This is NOT good news. Even if bits and pieces of what he said is true. Do not ignore the fact that Ahmadinejad lies and distorts so often that he will not taken seriously by any average skeptic.

Indeed

But somehow it seems the deck is already stacked against us, kdub.

No kidding

I did NOT suspect so many "truthers" to be singing the praises of Ahmadinejad. Did you hear that call I made to Alan Colmes a few weeks back. It's basically what we have to do now cause of this...check it..

This is how we can maybe use Ahmadinejad's ridiculousness and his associating with 9/11 skepticism to open minds...

I think that is exactly what we do NOT need to do............

................I don't think anything was accomplished with that call.
Alan Combs said, "if you think Bush and Cheney were behind 911 you're a nut".

What an obnoxious thing for a journalist to say, and he almost certainly realizes that 1300 highly accomplished architects and engineers, and hundreds or thousands of other well respected people, feel the same way.
He is playing the role he is paid to play.

I didn't hear him capitulate at all during that clip.
He dismissed the whole issue after being insulting to a caller.

And that is why I think Ahmadinejad, while not probably making much headway here, which seems impossible other than VERY slowly, IS making headway around the world with people who finally hear someone tell them something besides lies.

PFGETTY you failed to listen to the whole clip?

Comon pfgetty! I'm the second caller! The caller right before is a perfect example of what not to do. Listen to how politely Colmes responds to me. Please listen to and read posts before commenting on them. You somehow missed the boat here.

I listened to two clips

.

Based on your comment above

You didn't finish. You commented on the first part of the clip which wasn't even the call I was referencing. You have missed the point here.

Show "I guess I am missing what I am supposed to be listening to......" by pfgetty

Wow you missed the point again? I don't believe it!

"Sucking up?"

Oh you mean complimenting him for his hard work. Oh you (pfgetty) don't think Colmes has worked very hard? The comment I opened my call with conveys basic courtesy when you call into a radio show. It's a general etiquette which helps the host remain open instead of cutting you off. Courtesy and etiquette seem like very new concepts to you "pfgetty" (pfgetty actually suggested not being polite to the media in several other threads) and I suggest re-reading my comments, listening to the whole clip and the considering how much more receptive Colmes was to me than the previous caller.

"apologizing for the truth movement"?

HUH? You have to "listen" to the words I say. I apologized to Alan for the audacious elements who continue to associate with 9/11 truth and explained that this DOES NOT REPRESENT THE MAJORITY of people who have questions about 9/11. Alan has had 9/11 Truthers chase him down the street several times calling him names, yelling things at him in a very childish fashion. If he is ever going to re-consider our side (and remember he did once, even inviting Alex Jones on his show) he needs to understand that most people who have questions about 9/11 are NOT like Alex Jones and Ahmadinejad (whom you, pfgetty keep being a cheerleader for).

You didn't hear me talk about the victims families?
You didn't hear me talk about the air defense stand down?

So I know you heard my name. How about listening closer to the rest. Not just hearing, but listening.

somehow I sort of expected you and snowcrash........

.........to disagree that this is a positive thing.

A billion people are going to be thinking, hey, maybe we should listen to his ideas about the truth of 911. They are Muslims, all over the world. Most of them are sensible, rational people, but probably just as ignorant of the facts about 9/11 as most Americans are.
He may spur some real research.
And all he has to do is present some of the evidence, and we will have converts.
And then maybe news organizations around the world will pick up on the information.
And then our own media, even the dogs that work hard to censor 9/11 truth, will be embarrassed into presenting the information.
And then we may even have some real investigations, fair ones with opposing attorneys and perjury for lying under oath, and then the truth may come out.

That is what you want, isn't it?
