Did the bill pledging federal funds for the health care of 9/11 responders become law in the waning hours of the 111th Congress only because a comedian took it up as a personal cause?

Ok.

Hats off to Jon Stewart for, at the very least, educating his fans about an issue the national media has ignored over the years. However, where was Jon Stewart in 2004, 2005, 2006 (the year James Zadroga died), 2007, 2008, 2009, and most of 2010 with regards to this issue? Well, for one, he attacked the one group of people that have advocated for the responders THE MOST over the years.

I posted this because

it is mainstream news.

I am NO fan of Jon Stewart.
